How Strong is Terapagos in the Pokémon CANON? 

Of all legendaries, Terapagos has to have the weirdest power scaling, but mainly because we don’t know much about it. Recently in the anime at least, normal tera she’ll Terapagos was easily able to counter Rayquaza’s attack. Also, I’m not sure if Terapagos has any control over the Pokémon it gives the stellar type to, but it did seem to give Pokémon like Noivern in the cave the stellar typing, and those Pokémon seemed to be protecting the place Terapagos was sleeping, and you had to defeat them to get rid of the tera crystals, so if it can control Pokémon with its tera energy (not fact just me guessing), I wonder if it could pull legendaries from different timelines and make them fight for it and control them? Terapagos seems like it was meant to be closer to Eternatus and Ultra Necrozma level (though those two mighty still be stronger), but I think at the very least, Terapagos is stronger than Koraidon and Miraidon since our trainer likely has to use Koraidon/Miraidon and all the other Pokémon they had in their party, and we needed the aid of Keiran who was a strong champion, and Carmine who is supposed to be on Keiran’s level or something like that.

Considering that Terapagos is practically a newborn and he is responsible for everything that happens in Paldea, he is probably one of the most overpowered legendaries.

I don't see anybody talking about the possibility the tera crystals being able to warp time and space since they were used in the room where the time machine is and the crystal pool. Also it explains how different tera types work on any Pokemon because it is literally warping the type onto the pokemon. And lastly the Stellar type basically all the types warped altogether.

In the anime Terapagos counters Rayquaza's attacks in his Tera form. not even his stellar form so he is the least stronger than rayquaza

i think terapagos power scale is weird because nothing stopping it to just terastallize its opponents and then super effective them with tera starstorm anytime it wants

At most niche powers to me, we got to remember the Pokémon was on a rampage and mid transformation he tried to make it return to its poke ball. It’s probably as strong as shayman winged form, unless the anime shows it doing some crazy things it would most likely lose to some pokemon in no special powers tier.

Great video, i love Pokemon scaling, people downplay the verses strength a lot when it's actually very strong. Will you scale other Pokemon in the future? Also i recently found out you're VGMarkis i always thought your voice sounded familiar.

Funny thing is Terapagos breaks the master ball but we all catch it in a beast ball which literally has worse catch rate than the regular pokeball(excpect for ultra beasts).

0:51 2 billion years And underdephts formem troght cave ins I think they had been like that in over a 1k years but dont remember 1:21 no only the same type moves by stellar is boosted 2x othets 1.2x I think the reason we cant do two teras is cause we have one orbs + maybe recoil. Turo/Sada get so devout cause they were cause they were racing againts time due to white book. Terapagos's power is alternate timeline based, he can send people againts space and time. Send them to dante's inforno or backrooms or something. Tera- might be his other power (unless tera fuses timelines as my theory implies)

It would be cool if we could breed a ditto with terapagos to revive the species

The thing is Terapagos was already caught by Kieran. It was able to not be returned to its ball through its own power. The only other Pokemon I remember ever visually being shown to have any resistance to being caught like that or retuned was Eternamax Eternatus struggling against the Dynamax ball

I really love Terapagos... my only issue is that, well, it felt like the true final boss for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was behind the DLC content. Still, it was magnificent, it even threw me back to the splendorous and grandiose Dragon Quest IX final battle... could that be because these games were also the 9th main ones? Maybe because their battle themes are both so cool? I love when they have a part that allude to a recurring one in your adventure but are still their own greatly-composed own thing. Still, their designs are nothing alike, if anything I'd compare Terapagos to the Galapagod, which is a good creature.

1:20 actually no. It is less(or the same for same type moves). Only 1.2 times compared to 1.5 from tera into a different type. You can see why in competitive the only mons that really use it are contrary(tera blast becomes 100 bp and lowers both attacking stats which contrary turns them to buffs) and pokemon with good enough defensive types that could use the all type power for example archaludon although electric(I think) and fairy are also viable. Speaking of tera, tera fighting on calyrex shadow rider is such a menace that it got the mega rayquaza treatment.

Well when I see terapagos the first time in the 2nd dlc I was freaking out so hard that I lost my voice completely because he is just a baby pokemon but he is really strong in his own way & he is now in my team now & he is a true treasure of hidden treasure of area zero in Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet & he did save kitakami with his amazing tare move & I didn’t use ogerpon for this event because it will break another friendship with Kieran so use terapagos instead of ogerpon just for Kieran sake & the update is out on Thursday January 11 2024 & I’m not spoiled it until u check it out yourself

This is also the second time a Master Ball ever failed in some way in Pokémon Media. What was the first? The Whiscash Episode of the Anime; so the Master Ball has failed once in different canons of Pokémon.
