Saiyans. The DNA of the Soul….. (Continue down for QnA) Q1. What’s the deal with you scaling Turles to the Tree of Might? That’s like trying to scale King Piccolo to the Rice cooker he was sealed in. Numbs, you dummy. A: First, the rice cooker is Hax-based, not power based. Without its seal, anyone as strong as King Piccolo or Zamasu can easily break out of it. Second, the film barely has any feats worth talking about to scale Turles. Since his lore is speculative, I wanted to rely on concrete feats rather than on headcanon/assumptions that people will likely not agree on. As such, the Tree was an essential aspect of his film and overall character, I had to make do with what was presented, even if fans may believe his overall scaling is underwhelming. At this point, if you’ve seen my previous videos, this is nothing new. So As I said, don’t take it too personally, I just wish to give a new insight into his feats rather than simply saying “he’s strong.” Q2. Numbs, you forgot his appearance in [insert media here] you dummy NPC! lol A: I’m aware Turles appears in Extreme Butoden and other DBH spin-offs, but I had to remove them because it made the video unnecessarily bloated, as I like to at least have the points I bring up be relevant to his overall power. So sorry to the two people who wanted me to mention him being referenced in shin budokai but it doesn’t change my overall findings and conclusions. The only thing I was going to include that was removed from my final script was trying to connect turles relation with Bardock in the games to the anime special, as potential evidence its canon to movie 3 but otherwise, you’re not missing much else in terms of context. Q3. Are the guidebooks valid to scale Turles? A: The answer is yes. Not that is not to say it’s always 100% accurate. Not duh it’s not all the time. However, Since Turles’ backstory is vague, the scans and guides help paint a picture not just regarding Turles’ power and his overall personality. That is why I brought up the tree of might because technically, it is an external power and without it, Turles’ growth stagnates. That is why I wanted to emphasize his character growth in this video because Turles is not naturally strong but if you allow him to become powerful through his external sources, it’s more in character to do so and jump to levels he normally cannot reach. That is why if you ever wanted to know why he has yet to achieve ssj1, 3, god, blue, whatever, it’s because he’s not like Goku who trains. He cheats his way to the top and why he loves his fruit. Q4: Isn’t the Bardock Special canon to Movie 3? A: Maybe. That’s up to you to decide. Since I didn’t want to make an objective claim that it MUST be canon to movie 3, I simply argued how it COULD be possible without contradicting Koyama or Toriyama’s statements, while still being in its own movie dimension and therefore its own scaling. Not everyone will agree it is because of production dates, etc, but I want to at least give both sides a fair chance and argue from feats and lore perspectives. Q5: Why did you bring up his power levels if it has no correlation to the anime power levels? A: People like to make up their own fan-made power levels for characters not given official numbers. I thought it would be a neat extra inclusion in relation to Turles’ power and talk about how strong he could have been as a low-class Saiyan since people rarely mention his great ape form. Plus, if you want to somehow connect him to anime scaling, Turles being above the phantom Saiyans can be a potential method to rely on but that’s only if you think it’s valid. Also, yes, I know, the video is long…I talk too much….Shut up. I can’t help it. XD

Turles was a whole demon. He's like Raditz but could just shit on the Kaioken multipliers. He was THAT dude after eating Tree of Might fruits (interesting concept too)

Turles is the original Goku Black, he's quite cool honestly. I have always wanted to see a Kakarot in frieza armor. Really cool character even though he's quite bland!

Turles is underrated imo. He has a character, you just have to look for it. He's a low-class Saiyan that, due to likely spending most of his time on the far fringes of Frieza space never spent much time around other saiyans and as such never really learned what it meant to be a "true saiyan", likely gained his "true saiyan is evil" mindset from survivors of saiyan attacks. He fills the void he has in his mind with various pleasures (as seen in XV2 when he talks about the benefits of joining him as "all the food, drinks, and women you could want".) but no matter how many fruits he eats he's left unsatisfied. "Canon" Turles never finds this peace, Legends Turles does find this peace after he discovers what it means to be a true Saiyan when fighting SSJ Shallot with no regrets. Heroes also finds this peace, but unfortunately Turles always dies shortly after finding this inner pride/peace.

I hope Budokai Tenkaichi 4 keeps up the insane what-if scenarios. I want to see Turles take on the Goku Doll, Ginyu in Goku’s body, Goku Black, Bardock, Goku Jr., and then Kid Goten. Great video, regardless. Xenoverse 2 REALLY loved using Turles for these things. I hope Janemba is sometime soon.

Turles, I hope one day we get some form of true redemption of his character flaws, becoming a true saiyan and, hell, see him achieve his super saiyan form out of pure merit.

Wouldnt whatever seed the tree of might started in be basicly a rare candy for kais? In the zamasu arc, kais are mentioned to create planets and the tree of might requires an entire planet to grow and gives the person eating the fruit a big powerboost of which for all we know could be permanent. Create a planet, grow a tree of might and repeat the process over again until you're as strong to rival angels and even zeno, kais live extremely long so they got all the time to do it over and over again

Turles an interesting character even if he’s not canon imagine he learned the fruits of his saiyan heritage and finds out about super saiyan 4 and has tree of night as extra boost after many years of training in some pyramid of time if he became s good guy and learned of god ki Then he has super saiyan god forms on top of his super saiyan 4 with tree of might powers. His zenkai boosts would be out of this world of impressive gains after near death experiences since he has his tail.

Honestly due to the hero logic Turles can adapt to power for whatever planet he lands on

I think that we probably shouldn't use regular trees and the size of it as a comparison for the Tree of Might, after all it is a magical tree, allegedly used by gods, i think the statement by Yamcha and Turles' subordinates gives credence to the fact that the tree has above planet level durability: Yamcha thinks it can be destroyed with the power to destroy the planet (which means that they could blow up the Earth if they wanted to), but that is corrected to be not enough (if "nobody" can destroy it, with the confirmation that they can use planetary force, that means planet busters can't destroy it), thus, blowing up the tree should be an above planetary feat, and killing Turles required that, he should have Planetary + power and durability going by the movie alone with no scaling to the Z anime, the fact that he soloed the same group that could blow up the Earth if they wanted to confirms this.

he's probably around the 400,000 mark after eating the fruit since he was smacking around kaioken x10 goku who wouldve been at 300,000. his base pl was stated at 19,000 so this means the tree of mights fruit gives him about a 20x power boost, and he ate a second one before goku used the spirit bomb which would have shot him up to a power level of 8 million. so thats about how strong turles was when he died, strong enough to take on freezas first 3 forms, which for a saiyan is fucking insane. if you dont wanna count the second fruit thats fair i guess but even then turles was still strong enough to smoke the whole ginyu force by himself. he would definitely be a threat to freezas army and maybe a threat to freeza himself if he kept eating the fruit

I think you're forgetting that the tree of might provides fruits that increases your power so it can't be destroyed by them by that time. I would say that it does need a planetary level of destruction to destroy the tree or maybe more.

does the power of fruit distort turles ability to achieve ssj or something, or does it simply channel the potential of ssj transformation into his base form?? that would be cool, but this could explain why he went from low 30,000's to almost 500,000 with a single bite of the fruit just from the chi of earth alone, i bet the fruit does more than just give you power it most also channel the sayians ability to get stronger through fighting/near-death/ hidden s cells/ etc.

if vegeta considers the fruit of might "cheating" then the gang using senzus is ultra cheating. fruit of might seems kinda fodder in comparison tbh. it's a lesser amp than most transformations and 99% of the time doesn't even catch the dub unless it's the "super ultra evil diabolical" fruit of might enhanced by a literal dark demon lord. (a bucket of kfc to a hungry gt goku is probably a better amp)

People say that Turles is bland but I always see the point of his character being the complete opposite path goku walk very interesting. Unlike Goku he’s obsessed with strength through artificial enhancements, to the point it is his final end goal. While Goku drink the potential unleash magic water and senzu beans it’s to further push himself in his training. Turles prefer only taking battles he know he’ll win, as well as knowing when to retreat. He’s a pragmatist at heart which fits a saiyan low class title since he’s too weak to be an elite, too cowardly to push the utmost limits of his saiyan biology and become stronger. So he has to resort to other means, he’s the anti-thesis to the saiyan race yet still pride himself as one of them.

At this point I think we should just consider the movies as part of the DBZ anime continuity along with GT... the movies are full of inconsistencies but the anime/manga is full of inconsistencies as well.... The movies definitely aren't part of the original Manga, therefore they're non canon... but they were intended to be part of the DBZ anime continuity and they're even based off the arcs that they were made during... the characters even have flashbacks to the anime and the movies feature anime exclusive characters such as Pikkon and Garlic Jr etc... and then GT features movie exclusive villains like Cooler... and the movies never state that they're set in an alternate timeline/dimension or anything like that..... Toriyamas statement about the movies just means that they're not part of his original manga... Even DBZ is full of non canon material, so just because the movies arr non canon doesn't mean that they aren't part of the DBZ anime continuity

SDBH main continuity arcade as well as the manga and anime follows the scaling of the DBS anime series. Its written as a continuation to the DBS anime and it's stated to be from that continuity post ToP confirmed by both Suzuki and Higuchi Wataru Heroes producers. Also Xeno Goku doesn't scale to Demigra as he never once fights him in the arcade, manga or anime continuities. In the arcade he simply fights alongside the other Time Patrol members as they fight against the team of Demigra, Towa, Mira and Dabura. In the end of the fight Xeno Trunks and Supreme Kai of Time finish off Demigra and the arcade doesn't have any absurd feats that fans like to claim. Also Ultimate Mission X is not connected to the arcade, manga and anime and is a different continuity and scaling to those. The SDBH trailers also are a different continuity and scale from the main story of the arcade or promo anime.
