How Strong Was Captain America With Mjolnir? (MCU)

You guys do have to realize that due to cinematic timing, the fights are obviously slowed down for one's perspective. Cap would at least be faster than lightning-speed level characters and through scaling from Captain Marvel, he could be far higher. We've seen other FTL feats like in Thor: Ragnarok when Thor and Hela fought in the Bifrost, which once again, would scale to Cap. Scaling the MCU is far vaguer than the comics themselves, and one has to keep it simple for the audience that does not read the comics. Thanos did NOT use the power stone on Hulk or Thor, meaning he was in base (without his sword). His ruthlessness was more evident in Endgame, but he was obviously far more powerful in Infinity War with the gems, whom Hulk nor Thor pre-Stormbreaker fought. Regardless, Cap is a fast and strong boi. In most circumstances, in the comics, we have seen MANY characters show similar levels of mftl travel and combat speeds, ie; Captain Marvel, Thor, Silver Surfer, Nova, Gladiator, Beta Ray Bill; etc. I should have cleared up on that more, to be honest. Regarding Captain Marvel, there is no reason to think that she cannot fight or react at FTL speeds when she has been fighting starships throughout several galaxies. She gained 20 Earth years of experience since her origin film as well. Hulk, Captain America, and Thanos don't have travel speed on that level, but Hulk & Thanos HAVE shown mftl combat speeds in the comics. So, if we highball, we can apply those relativistic levels of combat speed and/or reaction time since Captain Marvel was more or less on Thanos' level (even though she's hella weak in the comics lmao). For Cap to be on Thor's level, he would have had to gain a MASSIVE boost on top of being enhanced. He should be comparable to the Thor that endured the heat of a star for a good period of time and from being able to take several hits from a serious Thanos without being knocked out cold. But as I said in the video, he should at least have lightning speed in combat and reaction time. Wouldn't cap's original strength, speed, and durability all be stacked with Thor's since it was stated that whoever wielded mjolnir will have the power of Thor? I just wondered that because that would explain why he was able to do so much damage to Thanos since it would kind of be Thor and Captain America stacked fused together.

This is the only time in my life where I stayed awake while listening to numbers.

I remember seeing the next avengers movie, were ultron killed nearly all the avengers, he called Captain America as the most dangerous avenger. I remember seeing it at the time, I was like (but he’s not that strong) but the more I read and saw of him, he was usually the last to go down and the one to keep on fighting. I whole heartily agree that he is not the most powerful, strongest, or smartest. But I do agree, he is the most dangerous. He’s never backs down, always gets back up, and a great combatant. He’s not to be underestimated, he lasted longer than most against thanos.

Before winter soldier I thought Cap was pretty blah...but slowly he became my favorite avenger. Watching him yield mjolnir is the best sequence in marvel history....best fan service ever!

5:35 This is a big point but you also missed 2 points. 1st Cap is Cap because of his will power. 2nd is the most combat skilled on the team (even without powers). Thor is maybe 2nd followed by Panther, Bucky, Widow, or Hawkeye. Cap wrecks ppl with a shield more technically than Thor with Mjolnir

Captain Marvel didn't fly 1000 light years directly. She used Jump Points, as seen in her movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. All those calculations were for nothing. And even if she did travel 1000 light years, travel speed has nothing to do with reaction speed in combat.

I just came from watching endgame and maybe I missed something, but I got the impression that Carol was on her way to Earth to answer Fury’s page when she came upon the Milano drifting in space. It’s fuel cells were depleted and so the oxygen/ atmosphere machines had just about stopped working. Though not shown, I got the impression that Carol fed enough energy into the ship’s batteries to power the life support functions until she could make the trip home. And unless I misremembered, wasn’t Tony onJupiter? Thanos broke up and threw Titan at him? If so, the journey to Earth would only be about one light hour or so, not the 1000 light years you suggested. When Tony said the line about a thousand light years from home, I thought he was trying to joke and lighten the blow of his impending death.

For more MCU stuff, could you maybe go into more detail concerning Endgame Thanos’ power? I’ve seen a lot of claims of bad writing with that, but at the same time with some factors like Thor being out of his physical prime for the past five years or like you mentioned Thanos’ bloodlust, is there some greater explanation we can make for Thanos’ power even without the Infinity Stones in the MCU?

Please note that this comment was made before watching the video. I believe that Thor was still stronger than Captain America. Captain America has enhanced speed (not super speed like QuickSilver), durability, strength and even held Thanos’ hand with 5 Infinity Stones. But with Mjölnir, he has not only those three enhancements, but the power of Thor which is thunder. Thor also has enhanced strength, durability, and thunder he can summon with and without the Mjölnir and Stormbreaker, he also managed to stab Thanos in the chest with the Stormbreaker. So I think that Thor is still stronger than Captain America even though it would love to see Steve overpower the god of thunder!!

Captain Marvel could’ve just been using hyperspace portals like in GOTG2. Her being FTL seems like an outlier anyway, considering that the MCU doesn’t have any other speed feats that impressive

@0:29 Steve Rodgers reflexes are so quick he immediately stopped when he realized that he could pick up Mjolnir. That's why you see it barely moved. This is Steve Rodgers character. He could have picked up Mjolnir to show off. He has too much respect for Thor. I believe Thor saw that too. You just don't budge Mjolnir. You can either pick up Mjolnir or you can't. Thor knew that Steve Rodgers was worthy to wield Mjolnir and you saw it at the end. It was no surprise for Thor to see it.

I don't think Cap himself got stronger or faster from lifting mjolnir. "the powers of thor" that he obtains through lifting the hammer is all through mjolnir. He is just wielding it. If that makes sense.
