How successful is the Future Soldier Prep Course? | U.S. Army

I’m thinking of going to fat camp but I still have to lose 30 pounds on my own and they said the fat camp would help take off the other 30. So far I’ve lose 20 on my own prior to talking to the recruiter. With getting 30 more down, I’ll have lost 50 on my own but I have/had 80 lbs in total. So we still have to put in the work but I’m excited about the possibility of joining the camp to get the rest off

How long did it take you to get to their preferred weight and BMI

@@wickedtit4488 I was only 10 lbs off from the BMI, but the busting my ass was getting fit since after my weight loss I had hardly any muscle.

Any feed back on this program or study how many questions were and is the asvab modified? Any study you recommend

@@Stewman204 Yes, I have been studying the ASVAB since I was 14. lol 😂 it's a bit hard juggling high school work and studying for high school and at the same time studying for the ASVAB.

@@yesyesss888 So here’s the backstory. I’m a senior drill sergeant. Big army has put such restrictions on enlistment eligibility that nowadays, barely 30% of 17-21 year olds even qualify. But occasionally, the army loosens restrictions. Currently, we have loosened eligibility criteria for being overweight and for not achieving minimum ASVAB scores. There is a two prong way of going about this. The recruiter can set you up with a non paid program that you can do at home to lose weight or study, OR you can enlist and go into a paid pre-basic Future Soldier program. For a time (don’t quite remember how long the program lasts) you are set up in one of the basic training battalions and go through school. They employ civilian teachers to come in and get you spun up. You attend classes as a platoon. For weight loss, you go to a fitness platoon that focuses on nutrition and specific cardio for fast weight loss. Yes, you get paid. When you’re ready, you ship off to normal basic training. Nobody knows that you were down the street in the Future Soldier Program.

@@blackhawk7r221it’s by month. Every month you will take the test and if you pass you will go to basic if you don’t you stay till you pass or your 90 days over. I heard from others. I am waiting for July 16th to go myself.

I don't think being a US citizen is a requirement for enlistment . ..

You can come over and join. While in training, you can take the classes to become a citizen. Many of my trainees go through this program.
