7x7 for Skjei is nuts Pesce is going to age horribly, he was already not great this year at times. Ghost-Walker is half the price, for not that much of a drop off from them. Guentzel screwed us 100%... he asked mid-week, we met Thursday (shortly after mid-week) and he balked it and ran away. I wish him nothing but the worst

Yeah I was peeved at him. I don’t get it, if you didn’t want to stay then why not say so? They offered him everything he wanted. Idk what we have to do to get big names to stay here. It’s not like we’re Columbus here

Ghost/Walker is going to give up goals left and right, and they are not a difficult pair to play against. Carolina became a lot easier to play against this offseason.

Pesce was already aging horribly the last two seasons , He gets beat wide by speed CONSTANTLY and the his partner has to guard two guys , And he gets beat coming out of the corner constantly and ends up the wrong side of the puck and he's never been very physical so its boom in the net . People wanted to pay that guy for 5-6 more years at 5.5-6 ? .

Listen. This is coming from the fan of a team that isn't CAR but has no animosity towards CAR. The FACT is that you aren't and weren't winning jack-shit with the guys you had. Some might say you under-achieved. Are you REALLY worse off by starting over? I'd argue you really aren't.

I’ve been wondering…did the Canes make offers to Turbo, Pesce, and Sjkei that they turned down? Or were they told they would not be re signed. I’m beginning to wonder if all 3 wanted to leave. If that’s the case, I’m finding it hard to believe Turbo wanted to leave. Maybe I’m grasping at straws but I’m still trying to wrap my head around what exactly happened.

Tulski's lack of experience was key to screwing up that deal...and the exodus following....FOR SURE. Why not keep DW until the team is rebuilt then let him go? He could have mentored ET. Owner fail.

Tampering happens with all free agents ,How the belle do you think guys are signing five minutes after free agency opens and insiders are literally leaking all of the contracts/destinations the day before and morning of before free agency even opens ? .

Maybe they got tired of playing for Mr. Rah Rah. Maybe they got tired of the boring system they play...Or maybe management wouldn't release the purse strings....i say its a little bit of both. Regardless of the reasons....the players they have signed are a joke. 3 of thems goal totals for last season dont add up to the goals scored by just Teravainen & Noesen. It boggles the mind. We're becoming the Dallas Cowboys of the NHL
