i'm ashamed to say I like Frozen better (duck!). But not ashamed to say that my favorite movie of all time that I have watched is HEAT DeNiro and Pacino. But what I'm curious about are graphic novels...especially the long ones like The Inca...or stories (novels) that have complicated story lines, plots and themes. (The Godfather or Game of Thrones).

'Heat' is a phenomenal film. I miss classic action thrillers like that; blending action with escalating psychological tension and great character work (including excellent dialogue) feels like a lost art these days. The great writing and performances have been largely replaced by bombast and spectacle. I'm a huge fan of graphic novels, myself, and I've written a few comics (never fully produced and released, but I WAS paid for my work). I haven't read The Inca, but I will look into it. I'm a big fan of the Sandman, Bone, V for Vendetta, Maus, Boxers, Sin City, Next Men, and just about anything by Jim Shooter, Chris Claremont, or Roy Thomas. I'll talk a bit about comic writing in the near future; I have a few more graphic novels I plan to review (see my video on The Unwritten from a few months back). I'd love to delve deeper into long-form storytelling. I've read plenty of longer books/series, including Game of Thrones, the Godfather, the Dark Tower, Les Miserables, Lord of the Rings, the Brothers Karamazov, etc. The longest novel draft I've completed so far was about 70k words. But I am currently about 35k words into an urban fantasy novel that I plan to make the first of a series, so I'll definitely be doing more research and work in complex storytelling of that type. I'll make sure to plan a video on it.
