I didn't know Creeps were crunchy, I always thought FLUFFY. It's now my new headcannon that it's both, they're a mix between crunch and fluff, in other words, please hug with caution. Also, I like how the Creepers was the one that was the safest and most moral one to eat

Someone’s been watching Dungeon Meshi 👀 but genuinely, let’s headcanon some. enderman bone broth as a base, the bones completely dissolve into the broth because of the hydrophobic nature of ender physiology. Strain it with a cheesecloth to get any residual clumps out, got a nice dark purple broth with a deep, rich, umami flavor that can be likened to tonkotsu. Next we crack open the shulkers to get at the meat inside, we rinse them to get rid of any sand or dirt or leftover shulker pellet “seeds” (you can touch them but if you eat them you levitate for a fraction of a second and it’s just enough to make you nauseous with vertigo). Then we fry them in butter and garlic and season to taste with kosher salt, black pepper, cayenne and lemon. Like oysters. Next we can use wheat and eggs to make noodles. Ramen or udon to your taste. To finish our enderman tonkotsu we can grill up some hoglin chops after slicing them very fine. A punch made from grinding glistening melons and some radishes pickled in diluted slime juice round our garnishes and drink. Ooo and some glow squid narutomaki that the whirl glows. And nether warts can replace enoki mushrooms. There ya go. Enderman and hoglin Tonkotsu Udon with Glow Squid Natrutomaki, Wart Enoki, and slime pickled radishes, along with a side of pan fried oyster style shulkers and Glistering Punch.

Sedentary animals are easier to get tender meat from, that’s why pigs and cows end up fat because we want tender beef and pork. The ender dragon would taste like gamey chicken, like biting into dry turkey. I’d suggest using a glaze or gravy with a side of vegetables all seasoned with the zest of chorus fruit.

Minecraft expert here, now this will be fun! The creeper will likely taste like gunpowder and catnip, since they are probably related to it because why would they need to fear cats. Endermans in minecraft dungeons combust when they die, so you would probably not be able to eat it. Though if you could, it would probably taste like acid. It is morally right to eat one, since their goal is to destroy all dimensions. Endermites would probably taste like acid and mites. Slimes likely taste like acid and cave water, and if they spawn in a swamp then acid and swamp water. Phantoms are wierd, and I have no clue either lol. Guardians probably taste like magical gemstones and electronic parts. Maybe the fish and sponge they drop count? Ravager probably tastes like a person but wrong. Also would probably be a little tough. The Sniffer would probably taste like beef, but also probably not that tough since they don't seem that strong. Blazes are lava. Magma Cubes are lava. A Piglin probably tastes like a combination of pig and human. Ghasts probably feed of heat energy, so not much. Striders are a like mammels, but without heat control and milk. They probably taste a little like fungus. Shulkers are golems, so if the body it's endstone, and if it's the shell for some reason, it would taste like popped chorus fruit. Wardens are just a hunting mechanism of the sculk, and sculk is a fungus. It would probably taste like rotten flesh and souls. The Ender Dragon can not be eaten, since it just combusts. But if you did, it would probably taste like healing magic and acid. The egg would taste like acid too. Anyone have questions?

My headcanon for ravagers is that you probably shouldn’t eat them. You don’t find them in the wild and they have villager faces. Probably made by dark magic and dark magic is nothing you should be putting into your digestive system. Edit: as for creepers, I imagine them to be entirely plant based organisms. Thus their “meat” might taste like veggie burgers. Edit 2: as somebody else mentioned, blaze powder and magma cream are likely edible due to being used in potions. So here are my headcanoned tastes Blaze powder: Carolina reaper hot pepper mixed with a noticeable taste of old pennies. Magma cream: sunscreen mixed with room temperature but still molten rock. Edit 3: since Breezes from the new update are probably in the same family as blazes I’ll theorize about their taste despite them not having a powder. Breeze powder: wind chilled metal that blows around in your mouth with or without you breathing. Likely very dangerous to inhale as they would blow around in your lungs and cause bleeding or a collapsed lung.

For the enderman I would assume the meat would actually be a bit sweeter since it's heavy speculation their diet consists of chorus fruit which would affect in how it tastes, and the texture would likely be very tough like jerky due to their lengthy figure!

what if endermen taste like chorus fruit licorice? it's the only source of food in their home dimension, so that could be something. and since endermen have no water at all to them, it being dry, chewy licorice makes sense.

creepers taste like and seaweed (not the dry kind) under the crust, and even deeper down, they taste like spam closer to the organs. shulkers taste like snails, and clams. usually one or the other. the warden has meat under the sculk and bone, tastes like tuna. but careful not to let any of the sculk to seep into the meat because sculk tastes like raisins. blazes taste like french fries, but are made of fire so you usually cant eat them without burning your mouth off. the guardians dont have any meat, they are made of pure prismarine and redstone, they are purely mechanical. elder guardians on the other hands are synthetics, cyborgs if you will. and they taste like salmon. under their shells phantoms have a bird/chicken-ish taste, but since they are undead, and also partially non-corporeal. their flesh is unable to be touched by players, and is rotten. their membranes however taste like sour cream, and can be spread just like as if it was sour cream. ravagers do taste like buffalo, but also somewhat like human flesh. striders taste like crab, with a slight burnt flavor to them the lower down the meat is. slime, being mostly liquid can be drunk. and tastes almost like a strawberry milkshake. and is in fact not acidic, some are, because there are multiple types, colors, and flavours of slime. but we only ever see green ones ingame for whatever reason. ender dragon tastes like lizard, but semi-tangy. ender-men just dont have any taste with what little meat they have, same goes for endermites.

I’ve always kinda imagined skulk being some type of mold, and as mentioned by someone else, Skulk canonically tastes like Raisins. So Warden ribs would probably go well with a charcuterie board, lots of stinky cheeses and fancy meats that pair well with nuts and not overly sweet fruits

According to MatPat, Endermen are humans who fled to The End and mutated due to the climate and diet of The End, consisting solely of chorus plants and shulkers (which is why they hate when players look into their eyes, since they recognize that they used to look just like them). So, in my headcanon, eating an Enderman would have the same effect as eating a chorus fruit - teleporting you to a random nearby location

I look at the video expecting a lot of workarounds to try and find something that could be eaten only to find out endermen are lethal space edibles, endermites would likely boil your brain, and several other dissmissives of "wTf HoW dO i EaT tHiS" which is hilarious. this also makes me want to go through and make a document all about the culinary edibility of minecraft creatures, the effects and side effects, saturation levels, optimal cooking strategies, and as much canon knowledge as I can obtain.

9:57 my interpretation of the strider is that it is probably partially related to ghasts. This enables it to float on the lava just enough to walk on it. However, they eat warped fungus, which comes from a biome ENDERMEN primarily inhabit. So it probably tastes like (censor)ed-up crimson fungus, which is related to nether wart. I'd say that it'd be a miracle if you can even CRACK the enderdragon egg. Thing teleports every time you hit it. Imagine, if you will, going to make an enderdragon meat omlette. You start to prepare the meat, get it frying, then you go to crack the egg. The egg hits the pan and ends up in the silverware drawer. Good luck! I also feel most of the warden is plant based, though that depends on what skulk even is.

This video reminds me of that new anime delicious in dungeon which talks about eating monsters alot and i feel like the way u went about eating some of the mobs could have been more optimistic like if you clean the slimes and grind up the ender bones and marrow you could probably combine them to make some tasty jellow that might make u teleport or somthing

- Creepers are more like pufferfish. Where you want to remove the deadly stuff before you eat them. Probably cooked like crocodiles coated in bonito flakes. - Endermen should be jerkied, or turned into soup. They will likely have a psychidelic effect but if you cook it down and try to filter out the purple particles or age it enough, it should lose potency. - Endmites are just psychadelic bugs. You can probably eat one in real life and get the same effect. - Slimes should be thoroughly washed, dried and seasoned like seaweed and eaten as snacks. - Phantoms are likely more like bats or fish, hence the membrane. Not poisonous but not tasty. - Elder Guardian would be like a mix of whale and fish. Edible but takes some research to taste good. - Shulkers should be boiled in their shells like oysters with butter and lemon. Make sure to remove the pits they use to fire at you before eating. - Strider legs are inedible but the body is immune to fire so you cannot smoke it or cook it properly until you get past the skin. Filet and cook according to taste. Has a smoky aftertaste. - Warden is like mushrooms. Peel the flesh from the bones before preparing. Several parts all taste different, and some just taste like dirt. - Ghast needs to be drained of its gas and then cut into strips. Remove the tendrils and fry them like enochi mushrooms. The flesh of a ghast is pretty flavorless but its thin due to being filled with gas and can be turned into noodles or deep fried. - Ender Dragon! Need to remove the particle production organs and try to skin it. The flesh is the most flesh like of the list I think, and can probably be eaten and preserved like most animals.

Although I agree that the ender dragon would probably be delicious, there are other issues with consuming dragon flesh. In most stories and folklore, when dragon slayers eat their fallen foes, they gain tremendous power but become cursed or corrupted. In a lot of the interpretations I’ve seen, the slayer develops an insatiable craving for dragon flesh, and considering there are no other dragons in minecraft that we know of, it would probably lead to a slow, painful death

Since Blaze Powder is used in all potions now, it's definitely edible. I bet it's super spicy.

i definitely think youre underselling the slimes, they only hurt you when they whack you, and if they get small enough they can no longer deal damage which implies that they deal damage with their mass and not because of acid. also they drop slime balls which are used for all sorts of sticky contraptions... which sounds like a way to get anti-vegan pasta! slime ball pasta... also! if slimes fill the ecological niche of being a bottom feeder or filter feeder, id imagine they'd have a shellfish flavor but with a gooey texture

I prefer to think of creepers as animate plants, not animals lol, i imagine them as a species of moss that grows around sulfur deposits, and the creepers themselves just kinda grow out from the moss and then go out to find an animal to explode on and cover the corpse with spores So they taste like moss and sulfur, probably minorly toxic. Striders have a shiver response meaning they cannot be an ectotherm. Who knows what those little cuties are, but they do posses hair like a mammal and are bipedal like a bird which are both groups that are endotherms

I kinda got the vibe that Striders are some form of amphibian, or the Nether-equivalent to one, since they spend most of their time in bodies of liquid, but are usually close to land. Plus, the way they croak kind of reminds me of a frog.

Since Phantoms are undead, it's safe to say they would probably taste rotten, and when you look at how their bones are being exposed and wings all tattered-- it's gonna taste rotten and dry. Similar case with Wardens, since they are made out of Sculk and sculk forms from dying bodies; I imagine it wouldn't taste great and would probably not even be edible at all, I'd imagine they would be quite stretchy and gooey based on their sound and their particles when they form. And since Wardens reside in Ancient Cities; they are probably also extremely old, they would be devoid of anything edible down to their marrow which are probably also already long decomposed. As for Blazes; they're completely inedible. If you listen to how they sound when you hit them; it sounds metallic, so they are probably just like glowing hot brittle iron or something.

i would imagine a strider to be difficult to cook, given its fire resistance while alive and all the rocks you have to clean up after taking it off the lava.

I personally feel like the Warden would taste like sculk, which I imagine would be like eating coffee grounds and bone dust. I mean, come on; it THRIVES ON THE SOULS OF THE DEAD, you cannot expect it to taste good.

My personal headcanon for endermites is that they’re actually parasites that live in the bodies of endermen. Hence where they come from. They would provide the sustenance of the dried out skins of several chorus fruit, making them taste like nothing but paper and elytra (not the Minecraft one, the real one used by insects).

This gave me a fun idea. Striders and ghasts. They share a common ancestor. It first adapted to lava, then some grew longer legs for striding across lava lakes while the others set across the skies and exponentially grew in size given its lack of competition. Given that, i believe the edible parts of ghasts taste similarly to striders. ... Also this just gave me the horrible image of hunters going for ghasts. They are Very weak. Like, one hit KO weak. And that could be given that they're filled with gas and their skin is barely holding them together. So just imagine firing an arrow and watching it pierce through its skin and pop like a balloon. The skin litters the ground, and the only thing left intact are its legs, either separated from its body or barely connected to it. In a way, ghasts would be very easy to hunt, and although you won't get as much food as you hoped for, it would still be enough for feeding a small village for a couple days.

Laios and Senshi would have a field day learning how to eat creepers.
