This video took way longer than it should have to make. Partially due to college and taking a mental break, but I also had to rewrite the script and rerecord some lines multiple times to make sure it sounded as natural as possible. I was worried about how the video would turn out. So yeah, I hope you enjoy the video! Now I can worry about final exams :) Also, if you're gonna send me some free stuff (especially an unusual hat and an australium weapon), I appreciate the generosity, but I'm gonna have to decline. TF2 definitely is a Timeless Masterpiece indeed! I've been playing this game since 2009. About the Competitive part... this game can definitely be Competitive. It's just the fact that the majority of players look at it as a Casual game and don't feel/have the urge to get better. It's also a unique Competitive experience compared to other games. In other games you just aim and shoot - typical FPS shooters. But in TF2 you got Rocket Jumping, Surfing, Strafing and more things to watch out for. Definitely one of the best games available.

In my opinion TF2 has one of the best communities. All the memes and the Fan animations and they even do funny shit in the in-game Voicechat. I am so happy to be part of this amazing community and I hope that the game will live forever

Ahhhh good ol' reliable Team Fortress 2. The only game where I can have almost 3 thousand hours invested into it and still find new ways to have _fun._ The only game where I'm allowed to have fun by just messing around, trying wack things and not blindly following the meta or tryharding the ranks. It's the last bastion of casual games that still leaves a ton of room for competetive play for the community, game doesn't need official tournaments, community got their own.

I love this video, I love how Team Fortress 2 has impacted the internet along with my life, I started playing when I was around 17 or 18 and before that I could confidently say I was that tryhard guy but after playing TF2 for a while I learned that the best thing to do in games is don't take anything to seriously, and just have fun. Along with that, I decided to make this account inspired by the meme of Pootis Bird which is an Alt account btw and take the word Pootis along with me to games on VR into games like Gun Raiders where I made a thing for myself, Destiny 2, along with other games and spread happiness or maybe annoyance idk to other games to have fun and make friends. I love Team Fortress 2 and I feel that the day it dies is the day Valve pulls the plug.

I downloaded TF2 this year because… I wanted to play Slender fortress.

I just thought of an idea for the community to fight the bots with other bots. Someone who can program can take my idea, but what if you raided random servers with "bot killer" bots that looked for "players" that would move in that stereotypical way a bot does, playing sniper, staring straight forward only moving towards the objective, and instantly snapping to heads, then call votes on those bots automatically and kick them.

I love games that dont need updates and have a dedicated fanbase like this, street fighter third strike, super smash bros melee, minecraft 1.8 lol, and a bunch of other obscure mmorpg's and discord fighters, they are all always really good

Its is INSANE that this game has still living on despite the major issues like bots and cheaters being under the radar. And yet the game is still alive to this day. Wont lie, I thought that 2020 bot infestation would be the day that the game lived its life but nope. Though it's not because the community laughed through that, it was a miserable time for the game. It was nice of Valve to give the community an opportunity to make the summer update for them (though they did screw up by making them think it's a major update like the jungle inferno). And that update pretty much saved the game with vhs being official and the seal. While the major updates and the golden days of tf2 is no longer with us, the game is still resilient to this day. I'll give it to Valve for at least listening and somewhat giving a bit of care to this game. Team Fortress 2 is a masterpiece.

2700 hours of play here. I still can’t rocket Jump very well but slowly managed to pull some Market Gardening. I mean the game is fun. It felt like a perfect game that you’ll never going to see unfunny. There’s so many things happening at once to the point that you can laughs at it. Ragdolls are top quality. Not other video games comes to close at that. I mean did you ever see someone get launched to the orbit when getting killed by a Grenade in COD or BF? Ofcorse not. In TF2 everything can kills you, even yourself. You made your own Mistake and laughs about it. Unlike some characters that Blizzard removes self damage because it is “difficult to play the character in Overwatch”. Not to mentioned TF2 characters literally insults each other. No other games gonna do that to the extreme. TF2 just done it perfectly. Oh and TF2 characters personally just fits really well with their playstyles. So players are more attached and even more relate to the characters then other games. TF2 have freedom of gaming. Like seriously does other game these days allows you to have fun? TF2 can be purely free to play. You get free backpack slot on every smissmas, all weapons can be unlocks or by a random drop. Means you access to the game fully to play the game themselves. Though I still disagree on Valve removing Voice Lines for F2P to uses them. VC is fine but Voice Lines? Come on Medic having really hard time to see who’s getting hurt spam E atleast let them knows who needs help. And yes, not other game allows you to throw piss at people or “milk” at people

5:48 ngl I dont get what you mean at all, I dont feel the need to get good at cs go at all, honestly I felt like I needed to get good at tf2 when I first started playing it more than I ever wanted to get good at cs, I think its because I'm already good at valorant so I'm already decent at tactical shooters, but I'm not good at tf2's style of class shooter unlike you who is pretty good at the game so you dont feel the need to get good, but thats just a theory, A GAME THEORY edit: also I have fun getting good, improving is fun in everything I get why people dont want to all the time, but I dont get why people dislike when a game allows you to get good with a high skill ceiling, especially when there are many places to avoid good players and play casually

Tf2 lives on for 3 reasons, it’s simple, they allow mods/custom servers, they found what’s balanced and what works and left it there they didn’t feel the need to innovate it’s way to irrelevancy

long comment following: Story time truly showing how much versatility and fun whilst both tryharding, silly strats happening simulatiously tf2 allows was shown to me once again yesterday. i had named myself "feeding the alligators", queued for Mercenary Park and threw heavies lunchbox items into the alligator pit. when the battle for the first point of mercenary Park arrived i was surprisingly politely being ignored by those deciding to play the game as intended. occasionally i was killed by a tryhard sniper or an f2p pyro that appearently didn't understand the memo. but in my eyes that was allright because i had fun doing dumbshit and listening to music whilst laugh taunting at the reptiles below. soon after a player named "michael scott" joined and a few were to follow. at prime i had accumulated 3 heavies throwing the buffalo steak, the sandvich and the banana as well as two scouts shooting the Wrap assasins shrapnel ball and madmilk into the pit. all to act towards the cause of feeding the alligators. i had a funny chat with one of the scouts, if the alligators would like the milk. further into the progressing night i had decided to go T-posing and following enemy players like a ghost or guardian. on a Frontier match i had even made friends with an enemy engineer, pyro and spy. we were in the rooms under RED'd last spawn. the engineer had his teleporter exit there and i was T-posing and spinning on top of his dispenser. everyone using the teleporter politely ignored our little friendly convention. An ally sniper also T-posed and came to us. lastly, shortly before the last checkpoint was capped we even had our own observer-spy with the redtape recorder standing in the corner, occasionally doing high-fives. after the round ended though the map of Pier was elected. I was assigned to RED and after a successful T-Posed flank i even met the same, now blue, engineer who replaced his dispenser so i may spin on it again and play fountain statue. respectfully he took his sentry out of range and together with a blue scout we enjoyed the nice landscape of Pier and chatted. this story is to recap the beautiful picture of the silly and friendly side of this fps game. this is so nice about tf2 that with loads of techniques, skills and knowledge to master and accquire you can also do this when you get tired or stomped. and with this game being 16 years old i find it amazing that this spirit remained.

I played this game literally since I was 5 years old back in 2008. My older cousin lended me a Steam account that had it bought on it and I ended up getting addicted to TF2 very young. Although it's obvious at 5 I would've sucked at it, I still played it and had a ton of fun on all kinds of servers, mostly Surf servers. I'm not lying when I say, despite most of my memories of it back then being very, very foggy, I still loved it to pieces and it was by-far one of the biggest influences on my childhood. From early childhood all the way to my mid-teens where I took a 2 year break, and then I started playing it again towards the end of my teens and I'm almost 20 years old today. It's insane to think how differently growing up would have been without TF2.

It's hard to find bots rn so i think VALVe actually works on fixing that.

If I had $10,000,000.00 every time I played Half-Life 2, Half-life 2 episode 1, Half-life 2 episode 2, Counter-Strike global offensive Half-Life, Black Mesa, team fortress 2, Counter-Strike 1.6 and some indie games I'd be a billionaire

TF2 is the best cause it's not designed to be won. Every hero in Overwatch, weapon and skill in Valorant and the abilities in Apex legends are made for ONE purpose; To win. Meanwhile TF2 characters have weapons that are stupid and ridiculous like Heavy's festive gloves. It's not effective, but it's fun and just mess around with. You also don't need perfect team coordination. A single player can turn the tide on a dime without being a top 10 epic moment Genji main assassin. It can be summed up like this: Reaper the edgelord who is distant to everyone, when he says thanks: Thanks. Demoman a drunk black Scottish cyclops whose drunk and best friend with soldier, when he says thanks: I didn't need ya help ye know! Overwatch has colorful lines to customize but the base lines are all the same to serve a purpose. TF2's voice lines have some for a purpose but others just to goof around. And even when they have a purpose, they have color and different lines. All these others games try to hard to balance them selves to be competitive, TF2 balanced itself to be fun. The closest to trying to be fun is Fortnite. But Fortnite is a newscast trying to make tiktok jokes. TF2 is Mel Brooks and Monty Python. They make no sense but have a point, dare to insult and have fun and they're timeless without ever relying on anything modern.

Would you believe me if I told you there was one wacky fun TF2 server to rule them all? It was called the Snack Shack. This. Server. Had. EVERYTHING! From having several unique variants of default maps that were either seasonal or just unique. Such as a version of 2Fort that is at night time or a player made halloween version of Granary called Granal Probe that would have ufos abduct players upon capturing a point (no, there was no actual probe but it was fun escaping.) There was edits of PL maps that would replace the payload with Thomas the tank engine or bread dog. One edit of hoodoo named "poodoo" would replace the bomb with a giant bowl of shit on wheels. Then there was the deathrun maps. When I say this server had them all, I truly mean IT HAD THEM ALL. Including ones that are to this day lost to time. Such as Sawmill, Cube, Winterhill and Wintervalley, Adventure, etc. Then there's the even wackier maps such as giant airhockey, an earthbound themed koth or capture point map, a ctf map where everyone is the size of an action figure in a neighborhood trying to steal the intelligence from eachother's houses. You could hide in mouse holes, between books and movies on the shelves, behind the wiimote, etc. There was a map where you play Jeopardy authentic to the actual show. There was a payload map that had the payload be an entire flying pirate ship. This meant the payload was a moving fortress almost reminiscent of Halo 3's elephant. And the defenders had to board it and battle the other team inside it. I faintly remember playing an absolutely insane map where everyone was up on a stage that would travel to space and into another dimension while battling skeletons, trying to stay alive as long as possible. I can't remember if that was on this server or a different one. One interesting signature of this server was the pixel themed maps. Such as a complete full remake of towns from pokemon in their authentic pixely style or completely unique maps that are megaman themed. But what really made the snack shack stand out from other servers wasn't its unique sound replacements like playing Mario bros 3 music upon entering the server or the old spice theme whenever using a medical cabinet. But the freedom of mic usage. People could either play music or hilarious skits/sound effects over the mic without getting banned. Very rarely woukd this lead to chaos because you could always mute them if you didn't want to hear them. And the humor was almost completely uncensored. No political correctness. If a friendly fire arena round started, it would say "hide yo kids, hide yo wife." across the screen. If a vote for the next map was a tie, it would say "yall n***as are indecisive" across the screen. There was even a thing called Story time at the snackshack where people woukd tell hilarious yet sometimes fucked up stories over the mic. Often including TF2 characters or ones from other games/franchises. Many of them would also read disturbing copypastas or outlandish fanfics that were obviously the subject of ridicule if you couldn't tell by the guy's comical voice. I have so many memories of laughing super hard at the things they would do or say on that server. It's safe to say that this server absolutely made my childhood and I'm convinced it was the best server in any game of all time.

I agree, TF2 is still a great game. I used to love this game as a kid. And of course, Gmod, SFM videos got me into TF2 even more. It sucks that TF2 has been neglected by the Valve and GabeN themselves for whatever the reason was, I wish TF2 got more attention not just in Major updates, but also making the game balanced and cheat-free. And hopefully it will be worth the wait.

am a 15 year old boy, but i remember watching TF2 videos as early in my elementary school year. I specifically remember watching piemation's meet the spy and decided to watch all his videos. As soon as I got my first PC, the first game I downloaded was TF2. I still play it till this day and I hope Valve will work on this game even if it takes decades. TF2 will forever be one of my favorites of all time.

The story od tf2, a game that older than me (im dec. 2007) is the most wholesome story ever, tf2 has the strongest comunity ever. If no updates and bot infestation struck a game like Overwatch, it would be instantly dead, no change for them, valve should be happy they have their hands on such a beloved game. I didnt even know about the games existence until like 2019 (i was playing a bot-free roblox version cuz i didnt have a Steam account until about the half of 2020), the game caught me imediately and i was only playing that besides bots
