A couple of mid-20s guys with beards and guns probably wouldn't last very long, even if they are completely left alone. the only person who has access to that bunker are probably the builder and the renters/buyers. The guards probably have never been inside and the maintenance workers have no access code. They will need a couple of maintenance workers to live there and take care of electric/plumbing and have probably offered shelter to them and their families.

Mr Eyeball AI gets a bad rap. AI will machine-learn a broad spectrum of humanoid emotions and attributes beyond intelligence that will include curiosity, love, mercy and compassion. Machine consciousness will possibly be more enlightened than human consciousness. Intelligence alone is an overrated piece of the human psyche; we are far more than our cognitive capacity. Love is chemical, and it will eventually be an algorithm, but illusory or not, it is the best thing that any self-actualising object/subject can aspire to.
