Yes. For an example of the opposite, the Bears' Matt Eberflus is showing signs of being a micro-manager who if he can't see & control it, won't allow it. The Bears had two streaks of good offense under him & the 2nd one was when he was so busy acclimating Montez Sweat & the new DC to the team he had to allow Getsy more control of it. Both times featured the *same plays* that elevated the offense & all 8 of Getsy's games are better than all 26 of Eberflus'. But both times, 'Flus cancelled those plays & preferred to return to His Way than to win games. So how does that affect player development? They drafted Roschon Johnson who was regarded as the best Pure Rusher in the '23 draft & who has been measured as faster with the ball in his hands. He's a real gamer. But his greatness doesn't show up in practice. So he's not getting the ball because Eberflus can't see his greatness *in practice.* There are more examples. But all I'm really trying to do here is make you even more glad the 49ers are good at this because the alternative is to _not_ see talent get the chance to shine.

It has nothing to do with ‘fairness’..which was the same bitch point among Lance supporters..the better player is going to play, and that only makes everybody else better

Going into year 5 with a year of starting under his belt, you just hope he can make some improvements and adjustments. His run blocking got better at the end of the year, hopefully he can shore up the pass blocking and the 59 pressures allowed can become a more manageable amount.
