Hey Thomas. I didn't want to buy a new car before watching your review because your videos are the most in-depth reviews in entire youtube. Well I have waited for a mazda 6 AWD review by you before I buy one. I guess I couldn't wait and did not want to miss the promotion that Mazda offers. I bought a Mazda 6 AWD wagon 175hp. I hope I won't regret when you release an in-depth review about Mazda 6 AWD.
So this Renault Megane is from a French manufacturer using Japanese technology from Nissan co-designed with Samsung from South-Korea, then it's made in a Spanish factory where German engineers from Daimler have improved things. Wow.
Not really using technology from Nissan, considering that Nissan takes stuff from Renault, not the other way around. Renault develops engines for example, and then Nissan uses them too. Samsung is just Renault branded that way and manufactured for Korean market, they don't do much designing of it in Korea.
The engine in the Megane GT is actually taken from Nissan. Nismo Juke got it but modified by Renault Sport ofc. Renault and Nissan is more or less the same vehicles in different shells. Mitsubishi is also part of this alliance.
Why in no movies of renault making process renault is not showing the treatment of the steel BEFORE painting.... for ex if you look at skoda or vw they are sinking in a bath of zinc or something
Renault, please, put the Logan's buttons of the electric power windows back to their respective doors. It is so silly to find these buttons on the central column or between the front seats (for the rear windows).
+Mert Göktuğ Dedeoğlu yep, the previews of both are coming up today and tomorrow to give you some pre-insight, next week i ll be waiting for you guys with the full reviews of both then
Looks cool. But it takes A LOT longer to get people's trust than it does to make a reliable car. Their reputation is a dark shadow and it's hard to escape it. Will see in the future, but I'm not going to buy a Renault just yet.
+ast5515 indeed the recent years havent been good for Renault. A lot of new models now though. And for this plant by the way, the used Daimler consultation for quality assurance
I am driving my frist Renault for now over eight years - best car I ever had.First Exhaust, all first lamps, first battery,no repairs necessary.Very, very, very, very, very much better quality than VW.
Thanks, Thomas! It's always fascinating to see some of the engineering feats we have achieved. Machines making machines....of course the machines that MAKE the machines need to be made too... 🙀 I understand the BMW i series manufacturing process is so quiet the workers don't require earplugs. Eliminating the stamping process plays a big part. Grazie.
