It is all domino pieces and people who do not understand and believe that are delusional. If Baltics would fall, then Finland would fall, then Poland, Romania, Moldova. Soon Soviet union would be created back and since China is a superpower now USA would lose it's status that it has now.
@@user-gl9iw1fv2h For weak russia, this is too much. Now tell us how the russians have been taking Kyiv in 2 days for 3 years. They taking with their mouth. Like you here🤣🤣
A motivated and organised resistance is often underestimated. Remember the project was, " Kiev in three days and ukraine in two weeks" yet Ukraine was not nearly as prepared.
Yes, let’s think about the Baltic states by giving their largest opponent more legitimacy in their claims of NATO encroachment, and while we’re at it let’s send over some NATO tripwire to give the Russians more reasons to turn the Baltic States into a giant f*cking parking lot. Let’s also think about the Baltic states by encouraging them to act hostile to their single largest trading partner (definitely no economic repercussions). Let’s think about the Baltic states by promoting the most lunatic Baltic politicians up to the highest leadership positions, then have them talk about establishing a 60,000 man reserve against a country with a 4 million man reserve. You people are morons. If you wanted to give the Russians a new parking lot, just be upfront about it.
The only one who ever thought about the Baltics is Stalin. Universities, factories, cities, industry, whatever there is - was built by Soviet Union. Now it is transformed into a drunk bankrupt broke ugly broken corrupt joint. What a shameful sight.
Not always money is a problem - Baltic states can make purchase but equipment only will be delivered few years after payment. I know that Latvia want reach about combat ready 60 000 men. And all three Baltic states building defense line near border with Russia and Belarus.
Not only that. Imagine ethnic russian putin lovers in Estonia and Latvia (25% of population) decide to create their own little Donbass (naturally with the help of the little green men). Especially given they have a track record back from the 90s. Formally there will be no reason to trigger NATO's article 5.
@@traumvonhaiti There are not 25% Russians in Latvia - they are a little less - about 22%. Most are people who are retired or near retirement age. It is practically impossible to have a situation like in Donbas, because unlike in 2014. events in Ukraine - the border between Latvia and Russia/Belarus is strictly guarded + fortifications etc. are being built all the time. - People of the Russian special services were infiltrated into Ukraine, who with weapons in their hands took control of several populated areas while the country was in political chaos - tanks, ammunition, artillery, etc. came into the possession of the so-called DNR and LNR, but all of this was introduced from Russia, because the border between the two countries was completely uncontrollable. At the moment, Russia is testing Europe's readiness to defend itself - it must be concluded that the Baltic states and Poland are better prepared than countries such as Germany, Austria, etc., because there is a political attitude on the part of the Baltic states in cooperation with the special services that even the slightest tolerance is not allowed regarding for pro-Kremlin activities. Therefore, many pro-Kremlin activists have already fled to Russia or are being held in custody. In Germany, on the other hand, demonstrations in support of Russia are allowed and people's right to free expression is used as a cover. In Germany, it is no longer possible to tell who is a pacifist and who is a Russian infiltrated agent.
@@traumvonhaiti About the Russian speakers in Latvia and Estonia: 1) a lot of them are integrated, so would have a lot to lose in case of a war, in fact, they'd lose everything they have worked for; 2) many of them are elderly - how do you expect the elderly to create armed separatist militias? 3) any kind of hypothetical Russian help to form such militias would be seen immediately by the intelligence services and immediately destroyed by the special forces.
Nato battlegroups are “much better equipped” than local forces has a bad ring to it. Yes we don’t have main battle tanks and jets, but otherwise we purchase according to highest standards of Nato. In addition we sell our military hardware produced domestically to the US and other member states. This clip does a good job raising awareness, but don’t underestimate the Baltics.
everyone knows there will be no war Nato vs Russia, exept news and youtubers :D how else they will get followers????and idiots follow them and like them and BELIVE them!
It's usually a public relations expert, we used to have one stationed in Lithuania too. They'd normally be in charge of updating NATO eFP social media accounts along the lines of "such and such exercise took place today".
Most Russian speakers from Latvia live abroad. I am one of them. There are only old age pensioners in Daugavpils, for example and school age children. Many schools closed down. Population of Daugavpils is about 50,000 instead of 144,000 like it was before the USSR collapse.
01:23 Not sure where is Bartosz getting info (maybe pulling out of his ass?) but LT is currently spending 3.03% of the GDP on Military, and is projected to have about 3.1% by end of year.
Thing is that Estonia needs actually more tech, than manpower. This video is misleading by taking account only active service. Thanks to the reserves, Estonia has manpower around 200k in war time. - more than Latvia and Lithuania combined. It's mind-blowing because Estonians population is the lowest in the Baltic's.
There are only about 1,800 million people left in Latvia. Lots of them are old age pensioners and there are a lot of Russian speakers who will not want to resist because Latvians hated Russian language. Lots of Russian speakers do not want to die for Latvia. So, it will be easy to conquer Latvia through Belarus, especially. I feel sorry for ordinary people. They would happily surrender if they could, but they will be caught in cross fire between Russian and Latvian armies.
Lots of the old people in Latvia Soviet-era Russian immigrants. Since Latvia is part of NATO and surrounded by other NATO countries, Russia and Belarus won't dare invade it.
Let me, a dweller of the fellow Latvia, one of the Baltic states answer how: We aren't. We aren't ready at all. There isn't even air defense guns near Adaži USA base. Which means we will have it carpet bombed in the first 15 minutes of war. This is our one and only way to protect Riga, damn capital with all its governments, bank offices, police bases and administrations. Ah, yeah, its also biggest city in the one-and half million Latvia with 800 thousands of citizens. And this is all its protection. Oh, sorry there also is 1'st Zemessardzes brigade, which is civilian militia, which is 1500 men who got once or twice to the range and all other time were just normal people. What's about regular Latvian armed forces... Fast googling tells us, that it contains same amount of men, as one Zemessardze brigade. Whole country army. Do you know what it means? It means, we are not Ukraine, who've got it's ATO for eight years, which sizes are 8.5 times bigger than Latvia, and had it's patriotism to fight those 6 days, until NATO send them ammo and armored caps. It means, we're DAMN fucked.
Ukraine is NOT a NATO Member State, The Republic of Latvia, IS. THIS is the difference, plus NATO Member States Members of The Military are already stationed on the border, in readiness. Sadly, your defeatist attitude is shameful.
@@Dmt42069 I genuinely believe and P.P. has clearly stated "He does not intend to attack/invade a NATO Member State" The Russo-Ukraine Conflict. the baltics should pursue trade with russia not war. the baltics are unable to win such a war. with no assistance from nato they will loose immediately. with nato support they will be annihilated in a massive war. I repeat, make business not war.
The numbers are laughable. Baltics are indefensible. They don't stand a single chance. Germany will not fight. France will also bail. As for the UK and Canada, the logistics are terrible. The only (!) country that can effectively stick for them is Poland. So, the main question is - will Poland be willing to sacrifice the last 30 years of its amazing progress when (i) it was not attacked directly, and (ii) it knows that neither Germans nor French will come to the battlefield in any significant numbers. Will the Polish be willing to become the only schmucks in Europe who die for the Baltics? And in the process they will likely lose Warsaw with its bunch of civilians to a massive bombardment.
@phillipphil1615 Don't even compare. Ukrainians had good numbers. They fought for 8 years before. But most importantly, nobody had to save them by organizing another D-Day. Sorry, the hard truth is - if Baltics is attacked, the best strategy is to leave it and retaliate in a more convenient place, for example, in the Crimea. That is if Trump is NOT elected. If Trump wins, Baltics is f*ed.

Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan must also prepare to defend themselves against the US. Why not? After all the last time this leading NATO nation launched wars against these 3 poor Asian countries, it led to the death of millions of their citizens. All 3 Baltic states took part in the Afghan war, i.e. against a country that lay at least 1000 km away and that had done them no wrong. Given the opportunity the Baltic states behaved just like Russia. Perhaps even worse.
The only reason Baltic states took pat in these conflicts was to ensure that NATO countries whom they were helping would also help the Baltics should Russia invade. Baltic states haven't committed any war crimes unlike Russia who has committed them throughout it's history and is committing them right now. Saying Baltic states behave like Russia when given the chance is schizophrenic rambling with no basis in reality.
