This was the beginning of the largest existential crisis for the people of Europe, people were already shaken because of the great famines this only added to it. Millennialism dominated the 14th century and when the world failed to end people started to ask serious questions about their faith and their church.
hey I just wanted to say thanks! I am writing a paper for my history class and I wanted to look at the connections between the black death and the Renaissance looking for ideas and information about he topic and there was so much more than I expected. And man the sources are super helpful! Thanks again! will definitely be back 😁
Yes this one was well a little closer to home than usual to write. I often get asked by people to compare the Black Death and Corona, I am reluctant to do that for a lot of reasons. One, being our ability to understand and respond to Pandemics is better. I would like to say that our leaders are doing a better job at responding to the crisis, but that cannot be said if everywhere sadly.
Great work on these videos! I'm writing an essay on the crisis of the Middle Ages and watching these for more information. Your citing of sources helps me very much :)
