Here is a thought, Is it fair to let others do all the work while you do nothing to help?
Camel thinks it is, in fact, all he says to anyone who asks is...HUMPH! The Horse, the Ox and the dog are fed up with camel as they are doing all his work. They head off to speak to the genie to see if he can help.
The genie talks to the camel to see he will change ways, but Camel just says …Humph!
The genie warns Camel that if he says Humph one more time…then things will change…forever.
Can does not listen…and yes…things most certainly do change.
Camels back starts to grow a large Humph, a Humph that we now call a hump.
The Miles Kelly Storytime does such a fantastic retelling of tradition tales to encourage reading and this story does not disappoint. In a humorous and simplistic way this story is fun, engaging and exciting and the animal characters are just adorable, you really feel how unfair the camel is being. Miles Kelly Publishing Ltd, has the ethos to create 'Children's books to inspire and share' , and they are are such a joy to read aloud. I have a fair few of their books and I just love them. If you want bright, beautiful, attractive illustrations then you will find them in this story. Camel has a sweet face but he is also very idle and they way this is put across is at a Childs level of understanding. There is a wonderful movement and a softness in the drawings that make them delightful and quite enchanting.
If you haven't discovered Miles Kelly Storytime books yet, then do seek them out, they are a joy to read.
