River Shull so you're ignoring the fact that at 3:14 the interviewer has to scramble the mic between the three because they're all talking over each other? i see.
As a Canadian, I just want to let the wonderful people of the United States know, that we are grateful to have you as our next door neighbours. There are just plenty of tv shows, movies, and other media out there that perpetuate the "stereotypes of Americans" that Canadians are exposed to on a regular basis. At the end of the day, I've met so many Americans that are kind, well-mannered, polite, down to earth, intelligent, with an amazing sense of humor. Please do not let the opinions from these few Canadians represent what we all think of you and your country. We share the longest undefended border in the entire world, it's a testament to how strong our countries' relationship is to one another. God bless. :)
I played college baseball in Louisiana and we had 4 Canadians on the team. I roomed with 2 of them. They were the loudest, laid back, people I have ever met and I couldn't have asked for better roommates. That was 10 years ago and they still come down to visit me. We go to New Orleans and hang out and have a great time. Americans and Canadians might have stereotypes of each other, but when they get a chance to get to know one another, it is always positive. Canada is Americas brother, and it always will be that way.
If English is your first language in Canada you most likely will speak like a so called American. Most of these people that have accents is most likely because French is their first language.
America is not a bad country and not everyone is fat and most of them are freindly and NOT loud and not most people have guns and if they do they may not be dangerous!!!!
Props to the Americans who have to put up with us Canadians /u\" I'm honestly apologetic, and I wish that the reporter asked "What's your honest opinion on Americans?" Then "What are the American stereotypes?". My honest opinion on Americans is that I admire how confident they are and take crap from no one. They aren't afraid to speak their mind and I think that they speak with honesty, also meaning that their straightforward. I also find them quite brave and lively, maybe a bit to lively for my taste but I still find it cool. As a teen, I admit the american stereotypes are a bit funny aswell as how memes portray them, at the same time I'm aware that the stereotypes don't apply to a majority of Americans.
@Kevin K That is understandable. I have to admit, my opinion has shifted a little as time went by, with the news and sour relations as I became more aware of what's happening politically and around the world. A majority of us still love the US, our two countries are siblings, we bicker and sneer at eachother, but we are still family. We want the best for you guys, but like any other, we also think of ourselves first. The main reason for the bitterness against the US is mainly just Trump and his supporters (along with some poltical matters), and how far behind the US is when it comes to democracy. The relation has soured and Canadians have become more wary and distrusting, especially under current circumstances. It's a shame, but it happens and with reason. In the meantime we and the world are praying for you, even when we laugh at your weird ways and how you've become "the joke of the world", we still feel pity for you all. You guys deserve what we have to.
@@no_dojo8056 The US is Still not a democracy, we are a Representative Republic. Trump, who I personally have never have liked, did more good for the US and it's allies than any other president since Ronald Reagan. Your issue with the US should be with the US Media. They have spoon fed you a left wing bill of goods.
@Reloader 308 in 2022 we might leave the union as will there people voting already I think they are some milita in texas I don't really pay a teaching to group's but he'll be cool if texas become it's own country
Here's a tip: Don't take Americans seriously when they say "'Murica". I honestly thought that the rest of the world would take it as a joke, because it is, but apparently not.
People want to understand when Americans say "Murica", listen to Macklemore, or however you spell it, he has a song called, American...this song is like the textbook example of what "Murica" means. I understand that there are people like that but the overwhelming majority do not, those kind of fools make me made, but that term is not doing any favors to anyone. Sad really.
We might make fun of Canada, but we love you. It's like an older brother picking on his younger brother. Canada and the US are siblings, England is our only parent.
Stu Bee From the context, am I to assume that you are Canadian? Don't worry, if your country built a border wall between you and the US, I would not be offended. I would fully understand, especially under the current circumstances.
juste kevin Ok, let me change this. The parents of Canada and the USA are France and England. But they split up during a war, and both of us were forced to take sides. Canada decided to move in with their dad, England, and the US decided to just move out of the house.
It’s funny that that group of 3 guys are acting just like the stereotype they are describing Americans as! Being from the southern US, I never knew there was any animosity between Canada and the US. I only realized it after going to an international school overseas. For the most part, I never noticed any hatred between the western Canadians and us. It mainly seemed that the French Canadians and the folks from the Maritime provinces had negative feelings. Overall, I really liked the Canadian kids and still keep in touch with a couple of them. We have much more in common than we have differences.
The interviewer asked for the STEREOTYPES, they answered. Yeah, the loud mouth teen interviewees seemed to not make the difference, but that lady was the most truthful with nuance between stereotypes and what she really believed (speaking as someone from Montreal, who would have answered, more or less, like that lady). .. No hate for Americans from me, but if you ask for an honest opinion, I would give it to you, no sugar coating. ; )
The Eastern Canadians kept their Europeaness. Quebec is very French and the maritime provinces may be very Scottish. They never went west. Sort of like New Yorkers. Came across the Atlantic and stayed in their own ethnic neighborhoods. Quebec is basically a large French speaking neighborhood. Nova Scotia is like Scotland. They never experienced their own country. Just like Irish in Boston. They go back to Ireland often and never went west. Even Irish immigrants call themselves Irish-American after 150 years. The hyphen become a dagger to slay us.
Trust me brother, I moved to Vancouver and they fucking hate us. I’ve had many teachers in college that were insulting Americans right in my face, even though I was born in the states and lived there for a good chunk of my life. This pissed me off.
I went to Canada a couple times partying when I was younger. A stripper there told me she could do anything an American stripper could do. I challenged her to pick up a Canadian dollar with no hands, she couldn't do it. Lol
I'm from Montana, and we love Canada. I've noticed numerous similarities between Montanans and Albertans, culturally. I've had Brits unable to distinguish us from them. Any amount of stereotyping, in this state at least, is all done in jest. A North American is a North Americans, all brothers here.
Alberta here is like America's Florida imo... something is a lil off with em. Not all, but... they got a conservative gov't there now and it doesn't seem to be working out for them.
+Theodore im Canadian and America has been going downhill since 2000 and that is a truth. and remember these steriotypes are based on facts as well as most of the Canadian steriotypes like how a lot of us speak french, but why we dont think of you as the country you were before is because you think that canada is a joke. you should think of canada as a friendly, developed clean country. you should never think of it as a frozen wasteland.
We have the longest work day in all of the world? Don't know if that's true, but I do know from observation that being at work for 8 hours doesn't mean people are putting in 8 hours of work.
Just because you work long doesn't mean that you work hard. If you get paid by the hour it doesn't matter whether you work hard or slack off you get the same check.
chike brown I'm Canadian and both I work 9 hour days where as an American usually works 8 hour days. And I have a rather short work day compared to many people.
As someone who has extensively traveled and worked in the States, I like Americans. They are friendly and quick to invite you into their home. Sorry Canada but I hate to tell you this, they also work harder, give more to charity and actually know what service is.
As an American who doesn't form to the stereotypes, it really hurts my heart to see how much people from other country's despise us. I mean in a way they have a reason to be like this but I know so many other Americans that are not fat, eat healthy, not loud or arrogant and some of the nicest people you could meet. Also its funny how people stereotype Americans as fat but there are so many people who STARVE themselves to be beautiful. Wth is wrong with a chubby person?!??!
Don't worry, I suspect that a lot of people commenting in the video might never have even been to US long enough/if at all or met many Americans to have such strong oppinions on them that DIDN'T come from TV stereotypes. I'm Candadian but live in US now and this is my opinion only but I can tell you that some Canadians might have a love-hate relationship to the US: On one hand, they(we) consume/like a lot of American culture but on the other hand resent Americans for generally caring/knowing so little about Canada. En plus, I find Québécois to be cool but also more judgy. But I think that's an Anglo/Francophone thing more than anything else.
Really don't take it personal. This is in Quebec. They aren't even liked by other Canadians. They are lazy, arrogant slobs. Every year the rest of Canada, especially the west. In the last 50 years they have taken more than 3/4 of a trillion dollars from the provinces that actually work for a living. And I'm not being sarcastic. To other Canadians, although we may not always agree with your government you are still our closest friends.
Its a stereotype get over it. Yeah Americans do starve themselves to be beautiful but so do lots of other people in other countries. Sure you might not relate to these stereotypes but don't act like a victim. Lots of other Americans stereotype many countries too. It's all in good fun
The American people are fond of mostly EVERY nationality. Let's face it,we pride ourselves in our diversity, and rightfully so. I see mostly jealousy ,and as another commenter said, inferiority in this video.
The Americans I’ve met have been friendly, welcoming and so keen to know more about my country. Visited the US 6 times and still counting. 👋🏻 I’ve been right across Canada on one holiday. The biggest different in my opinion is the geography. People, friendly and accepting. Will definitely visit Canada again too. Love both countries.
Canada really hates America. That’s all I learned from this video. Them Canadians were just there saying we’re all fat, don’t work hard, and are rude and noisy, but honestly, America isn’t over here dissing Canada, so what’s the deal with this whole ‘America sucks’ thing? I love Canada and it makes me sad how stereotypical they are towards us and how much they seem to hate us, while lots of us Americans actually like Canada and think they’re all nice but just listen to what they’re calling us. Jeez. I’m just so confused what we did wrong, Canada isn’t perfect. Some Canadians are fat, rude, and noisy, too. I just don’t know what else to say.
you realise the host asked about stereotypes not about what they actually think right? if he had asked "what do you think about americans" the answer would probably be more balanced though a hatred of Trump would come up and our incredulity over your lack of gun laws.
@@rachael501 Gun laws are pointless anyways. It's unconstitutional. But i will agree with them hating trump. That's only because they were controlled by a very liberal country for years and really didn't mind or care.
Too much time on the internet, only researching the negatives...Take your pick. I'll bet anything that just about all of those stereotypes haven't a clue about those three American guys who apprehended a terrorist on a train in France just last year, before he got the chance to hurt anybody. Because let's just face it, no stereotype wants to research positive knowledge.
@@Andrew-fv4sj does being overweight mean you can’t work hard? And America isn’t even the most obese country. And not to mention my comment wasn’t on his weight but more the fact that he is drinking a slushy will commenting on how lazy and bad America is.
I think it's interesting how in the other video Americans don't have an opinion about Canadians. don't seem to really care about the Canadiens. they didn't really know of any stereotypes 4 Canadian. but in Canada the Canadians have a lot of stereotypes about Americans.. am I wrong in assuming that the Canadiens are too obsessed with America and Americans? shouldn't they just worry about themselves?
YES OMG I NOTICED THE SAME THING. Like they all say how we eat a lot and crap and how we're so free like its so obvious they're jealous😂 and I don't know where they get this ignorance stereotype from because it's definitely not true
As a Canadian I am qualified to answer this. Lol. Basically, Canada has an America complex. Much like a little brother forms a complex about his older brother. When we travel abroad, people assume we're American, some even think Canada is a part of America. We grow up with the image of American media, and if you hear about us in American media, it's almost universally negative. I remember when I was young, during the Afghan War, I was watching an American show, a Fox show in which the host ridiculed the Canadian Forces for needing to take an operational break before redeploying the next rotation of troops. All I could think of was that those were our brave soldiers out there fighting and dying in an American war, sent there to help out our closest allies and yet these people would mock them. Of course that's not how the average American thinks. I doubt Americans know much about the Canadian role in Afghanistan, let alone care much about it. lol. But that's just sort of the general idea. Whenever Canada is mentioned in US media, it's mostly ridicule. Of course Americans wouldn't notice but to Canadians that stands out. Either way I think the average Canadian is well aware of the fact that we are immensely lucky to have such a dedicated ally. In the end, our countries are, as JFK once said, the two closest nations on Earth. Both are fantastic countries, and both have much to be proud of :) But neither side can take this shit too personally. The only reason we can be so harsh on each other is because nobody would think that Canada as a whole hates America or the other way around. We're comfortable jabbing at each other, or so I think. Sorry for the novel, it's just an interesting subject.
No, haha not really. Caring about our brother America isn't that bad. Especially seeing as we're one of the strongest bonds any country has. Stereotypes tend to come from America more than Canada. With shows like the simpsons, or family guy. When americans say the things they hate about their country. That's where the stereotypes come from.
***** Well I respect your opinion but some of the facts are absolutely false. The Canadian Forces are some of the best-trained soldiers in the world, they regularly place top three in the Sandhurst competition despite America fielding many, many, many more teams. The Canadians have won first place in 6 of the last 12 years, relying on only one team from the Royal Military College of Canada, so the idea of inadequately-trained soldiers is flatly incorrect, as is the healthcare. Look up the WHO, or World Health Organization's rankings of the world's healthcare systems. Canada is 30th, US is 37th, similar, but slightly better up north. Probably because when we get cancer, our family doesn't have to sell a house to pay for the treatment. And as for your assertions that we're not a world player, we're in the G8, NATO, and other massive alliances, so once again, you're wrong. Sorry to debunk your rude opinions, but your comment was a sad combo of ignorant and arrogant. Look this shit up, man. You need to learn about shit before you blast your country's allies. Canadians have fought and died in US wars over the years, show them a little respect.
Canada is basically America but with a heavier connection and influence from Europe. They adopted more European ideas while America did something new and wanted to be different and have no connection to the royals.
We are not influenced by Europe and have adopted none of their ways. The immigrants bring their ways with them. Nobody else adopts them. The royals have no bearing on us other then way back 100 years ago in history and now ceremony and portrait on the money. The US makes a far bigger deal with royal visits to the US and following the royals then we ever do.
+Stu Bee does Canada not have a parliamentary style government with Queen Elizabeth ll being the monarch? Is one of Canada's language's not French? Canada has very similar idea's and policies towards things like guns, healthcare, military, etc as the UK and other European countries. Hard not to see the influence from the UK and Europe.
BXLLY JXCK The Queen is purely a ceremonial position. We pay no taxes to the Crown for over 125 years. The country is operated under a constitution and bill of rights and an elected government. The Queen has no power over Canada what so ever. Te Us makes a much bigger deal of the Monarchy then we do. The monarchy shows up in your media and magazines like 'People' then it ever does here. One of the 10 provinces is French speaking with a few small french communities scattered across the country. Quebec has it's own culture and is nowhere near the culture of France. Even the common spoken french is very different then what is referred to as 'Parisian French'. The English Canada's culture bares no resemblance to English culture at all. When we travel in Europe we routinely have to correct Europeans that we are not Americans. Our military is more similar to the US including the weapons. Minor difference are like you say lieutenant (that is french by the way) we say 'left tenant'. We have had universal healthcare and gun control long before many of the European countries. Although we have gun control do not think there is any shortage of guns in the population's hands, we have plenty and retail gun sales can be achieved in any sporting goods stores. The only thing that is heavily restricted is hand guns as they are designed for only one purpose, that is to kill people. Whatever you know of us is wrong or 100 years out of date.
+Stu Bee I've heard Canadians are widely more accepted by Europeans than people from the state's but Idk forsure. And the whole "ceremonial" aspects still make me feel like Canada is more European. Why still pay respects to them by printing them on your money and giving them the title?
BXLLY JXCK Acceptance is neither here nor there as far as how european you think we are. Europeans are indifferent to us to like us, they despise Americans. The Queen is merely a ceremonial position and she has not visited in over 20 years. She is on our printed money as a representative of history just as you print your presidents on your money as a representative of the USA's history. The Queen has no more influence on the county of today as Polk, Taft, or Cleveland have no more influence on the USA of today. We do not give them a title, they inherit their titles and is a matter of British protocol and history, titles are decided by British heritage and the traditions of European family blood lines and European monarchy protocols. Canada and the other commonwealth countries have no more input to it then the USA would have.
He was asking about stereotypes - NOT their personal opinions of Americans. Just like in our entertainment we often see negative stereotyped Mexicans, German, Russians, etc. (and we even have such about our own sub-groups- blacks, Jewish, Southerners, for example) that we all could recite. But that does not mean we believe those stereotypes fit all that they portray (more likely not).
+Eva Solis I wouldn't go that far, I would put is more as don't like an American. So don't go walking up to someone loudly asking directions in English because you can't read a map. And don't say you're American unless asked, but I see much reason to lie.
Kelly Anderson The interviewer asked for stereotypes, and was given stereotypes. When asked if she believed them, the blonde lady at least, said 'no'. Don't take this kind of thing to heart
I wouldn't take this video seriously. I have several Canadia frends from various areas and they are amazing people...its just that this channel specifically edits their videos to only include people who mostly shit on the US because thats what this channel is about. he just deletes the footage where people like the US.
These or stereotypes doesn't mean we believe them also pretty sure the US has a few stereotypes about us Canadians I seem to recall one show in particular oh yes how I met your mother
My fellow Americans stop getting so defensive of our country. There will be people who mock other countries based on stereotypes or truths, but we are allies with Canada and for good reason. Our influence is globally the strongest and there will be those who find it not welcoming. Just deal with the mockery, and ignore it.
Omar Abuaita Thank you. I needed that. it's crazy how most of us got so triggered. I think it's because we saw Canadians as kind and honest. and this video showed otherwise.
Exactly, Omar. People just can't help themselves -- they simply must feed those trolls! I am reading through these comments and shaking my head, thinking, why is everybody so angry? Comments such as those I have read here today are consistent with thought-pattern of someone who carries a massive inferiority complex. Said comments are simply the person's attempts to offset their mental ineptitude and lack of self-esteem.
As a Canadian i would like to say that we love Americans. And we welcome them with love and open arms. My wife is American and trust me she's the most loving and caring person in my life
As a Canadian, I want to thank the creators and commentors of this video to giving me the perfect example of the hypocritical judgement and projection that Canadian's pass on to Americans when speaking about them. It's nothing short of amazing how the country that claims to be one of the most tolerant people, their stereotyping of America is disgusting. I appreciate this video as its a quick reference for when Canadians try to pretend that this is not how we think, speak and act when our guard is down. Can you do another video on how Canadians view Conservatives and "Newfies" next? Would be great to drive the extra nails in the coffin.
Why do foreigners love to talk about and put us Americans down so much? The only thing I can think of is pure jealousy. Especially because the majority of these people or actually the majority of the world are influenced by us and use our inventions and technology. Whether it be the baseball caps and shoes. The tv shows, movies and video games. The apple products like iPhones and RU-vid. Our musicians and sports. I mean the list goes on and on. You guys love us and use our creations and inventions everyday so stop talking shit like you're better because you're not. Your life would suck without us and you know it.
+eric Stoenescu It is unfortunate that hubris does allow you to see the image reflected back at you. If everyone thinks the same thing there is likely a kernel of truth. As a person, business or nation those that use criticism as a opportunity to self correct prosper.
Well the americans don't really work hard, it's the immigrants that made america what it is today. It's just that they have a lot of resources, so they buy the talents from other countries..
@@everythingmissing9629 That isn't really the case. The average American works 47 hours per week, while Canadians work between 36 and 40 hours per week on average. Americans are also more productive at work, averaging a GDP PPP of 67.32, which makes the US one of the most productive countries in the world. The US obviously has issues, but not working hard isn't one of them.
I live in northwestern Pennsylvania. I find it both funny and ironic that Canadians in general have a disdain for our country and for Americans, and always look down on us. Yet that doesn't stop 1.3 MILLION of them from coming to our state every year to take advantage of shopping for tax-free clothing. And then they stay here for the whole weekend to get out of paying duty when they go back across the border to Canada with whatever they buy. 😂 Personally, I think that luxury should only be available to Pennsylvania residents. If you live in Canada, or even in Ohio and New York, you should have to pay the 6% sales tax here.
America provides Canada with all of its movies, television shows, sports, restaurants, and pretty much everything. We're like the younger brother who gets all the hand-me-downs and protection from big bro with their dominating military. It's a sweet gig living up here. Only downside is the cold. I love you USA
Blank Version the only reason Americans are saying they hate Canada is because a stereotype we have about Canadians is that the are honest and nice. But after this video some Americans probably got triggered after the kind things a majority of Americans think about Canadians and this is how they see us. So they thought of this as offensive.
Narwhal Bagel I don't know why you think we're nice. You got us all wrong. We say sorry but we don't really mean it. It's just stereotypes. We'd be offended by what you think of us but you don't say anything bad because that's our stereotypes. Sorry but that's how the world views you. That's not how you are but that's how your represented. Especially since most of your reputation comes from New York and movies portray them as all assholes.
Blank Version can you blame them? It gets a little irritating given that we help everyone else out, often at the U.S. Tax payers expense, and think fondly of everyone else out only to discover were actually hated by the ungrateful dickheads who benefit from spilled American blood and treasure.
I’m Canadian and I want to sais that I’m glad to live next to America because let’s be honest not all of the American or Canadian are nice but there are still a lot nice people. I mean my favorite place in the world I visited is America of course they are loud but we still are also very loud
"'Leader of the free world!' What is this free world thing..." I love that someone pointed that out. It's ridiculous to say. I'm American and I'll admit some of these stereotypes are true.
Canadian here. I think most of us are jealous of the influence the U.S. has in the world. American culture is our culture but we are not included in it and that causes some resentment at the same time there is appreciation. I personally believe the U.S. is the greatest force for good the world has ever known.
I’m starting to think that the general idea of how Americans feel about other countries and how they feel about us could be described as: *We like them more than they like us.*
Gar Well your country’s school system must suck. The proper use is “there” not “their”. Two totally different meanings. Do yourself a favor and research homonyms. It’s difficult to take someone seriously when their grammar sucks.
A common stereotype to Canadians, is that they're nice maybe a little to much. After watching this video, I don't think the same. Maybe you just got some salty grumps but still.
They should have interviewed in other than Quebec. The French are the most blunt and bound to let it all hang out. English Canada is more reserved, and also polite. The French are not the most polite of our lot. Canucks are salty and honest though, so it always amazes me that we have such a rep for being nice, too nice. We have a hyper politeness thing going on, but yah, you see how blunt too.
ZachGames nah yall are known here for trash talking us for years and everything in this video has something that we Canadians seen and experienced with the U.S.
Alex Leblanc it's cause if they did it would essentially be saying the earths shit hole is right next to us but that's me being honest on how we feel about the states and yall raised the bar on how we feel about you even more with trump now to a point where out own teachers in school talks bad about yall for a school lesson
I used to work at Macy’s and the funny part is that most of the rudest and disrespectful customer I’ve ever had were Canadians. They were always entitled always sayin “I’m CANADIAN” left and right making a a whole disaster in the store, but even that I still love Canadians. I’ve learned to not generalize and just because you met a someone who probably fall under the American stereotype doesn’t mean I should include a whole population. I’ve been to Canada multiple times and man I love their kindness and friendliness ❤️
+Sam vance You do realize we have fought several wars against each other to avoid being forced to be a state and that much of the crime in canada is related to trafficked fire arms and illegal substances from the usa. So I don't image most canadians feel we are being protected.
+mysticonthehill aww you're breaking my heart!!! You and your crap lowsy country are a joke. Thank your god you border us and we don't invade your country for fun.
well tecnicaly they are your brothers because back in the day murica and canada were England colonies also french but whatever thats why they are so easy to love un like a German that unfortunately there past make it harder and also there culture.
We Canadians just hate the stereotypes that Americans have on us but we don’t stop them from having their own opinion. But as soon as we say our stereotypes on Americans, we get attached. I’m proud to be Canadian because we are the best country (even if it’s pretty damn cold😉)
Canadians seem to be very proud of their country, which I can appreciate. That said, they'd probably be speaking Russian if there weren't 10 times Canada's population just south of them who seem to also like and appreciate Canada.
But hey, guess what? It’s not just Canada. It’s the entire fucking globe. How many people need to explicitly deplore American activity before you realize it’s not a coincidence?
Craven Morehead but y'all borrow from American culture in such a big way. The chains some of you guys have originate in the states. Y'all listen to the same music. We're a lot alike yet canadians want to distance themselves from American culture so much when they borrow from it daily.
You realize that when we say 'Murica Fuck yah! We're kinda of laughing at ourselves at how patriotic we are, but we don't care because we love our patriotism. It's kind of like a warcry, 'MURICA! When you say it or even type it you just think of the revolutionaries and the great American inventors and people of the past, immigrants from way back, etc. You immediately are embolstered with pride like when Neil Armstrong said "This is one step for man, one giant leap for mankind". We're just a proud people, proud of our heritage(the good parts anyway), It may seem foreign to others but to us it's the thing that drives us to work hard and create a better future for our children.
+Neal Cleaver Genghis Khan forgot that New Brunswick is mostly French speaking - it's not just Québec. And in many of the northern towns of Québec, north of the Gaspé to be precise, they mostly speak English.
Lol at that first lady: "I won't get shot will I?" I've watched a handful of these now and one of the things other countries don't seem to like/understand is our gun rights. I'm proud our forefathers gave included that freedom in our constitution as we won our independence by fighting and winning. God forbid we are ever invaded, but if we are the foe will not only have to face our mighty armed forces but our armed citizens as well.
They don't have mass shootings every other week or so like we do, either, that's why they don't understand. If we just had people with guns to protect themselves, that would be fine, but we seem to let guns get into the hands of total hair-balls who feel they must kill dozens of people because Jesus or Allah told them to.
People out of country can be so ignorant and hypocritical with their stereotypes. God bless you my friend, Divine providence willing we will keep the Constitution.
Theodore Please. Our Constitution is not in trouble. The Second Amendment has been so variously and incorrectly interpreted that it is now impossible to have a discussion about that amendment, because everyone has a different interpretation of what it means. I personally feel that the framers were speaking of a militia, which was a small, informal group of people organized to protect the rights and freedoms of people in a relatively small area. 'The militia' is now our Armed Forces and individuals and groups of individuals do not need or have the right to weapons of war. Single-action handguns and hunting rifles, yes. More powerful weapons? No. Even if you suffer a home invasion, and the intruder has an assault weapon, unfortunately, statistics show that the intruder is going to kill the family if an assault weapon is produced by a family member. Chances go way up if any kind of weapon is produced. Assault weapons are only ever used by people who want to kill large numbers of people quickly. Those who enjoy firing these weapons for fun could have access to one within the confines of a shooting range, where the gun would be kept under lock and key and patrons would be allowed to fire it when they came to the range.
+Angela Winters and go and learn what an "assault" weapon is before you type. You are doing nothing more than regergitating liberal talking points. educate yourself on guns before you try to speak about them.
I was born in hamilton Ontario 40 mins outside of Toronto .. but your going to find rude people everywhere these are real american stereotypes.. i know it isnt true because i have american friends .. however its just stereotypes
Growing up in Canada made me more open-minded about the world but living in America made me more open-minded about Americans and both experiences are very useful in life.
Yeah we do, in most other countries, people get a month off for vacation every year, here people are supposed to get 2 weeks but no one ever does, it's hard to find any job that'll actually give you 2 straight weeks for vacation, I do believe we work the hardest out of any other country in the Western world at least.
leo pard You mentioned Koreans and the Japanese which the other person saying that the US citizens are the hardest workers in the Western world. Obviously, both of those countries are not a part of the Western world.
I don't even need to watch this to know they hate us. Funny thing is, I was minding my own business in a Paris restaurant and she was the rude one telling me how loud and obnoxious Americans were. And she was the fat one. Isn't that hilarious? They say obnoxious rude things about us as they tell us that's what we are! Haha😂😁
what's wrong you can't handle the truth about how fucked up our country is what you expect Canada to kiss American as and say awe we are so sweet, last time I check Americans are the money hungry muthafacas that's creating unnessacary wars why you think so many countries is trying to blow us the fuck up , I'm a American and even I know how rude and corrupt America is, SMH wake the fuck up and get out yo dam feelings
Can she not say what she feels like in her own personal perspective that occur in her )own) life ,and stop acting like noone realizes this. You're a grown man, shutup omg.
"Nice" Canadians coming down to the USA and acting like complete idiots. Rude, loud and aggressive - just like was stated in the video (about Americans). We see the young punks barreling down I-5 in California with Alberta plates driving 90+ mph while tailgating and flipping off other drivers. They cross the border and evidently think that's the way Americans are. Or a trip to Vancouver reveals young toughs walking around all night downtown swearing and yelling across the streets at each other. And the drivers there speeding like maniacs while running red lights. Inside every Canadian is an Ugly American trying to get out.
Cal Crappie hey, that's not true just the way the things the people in the video are saying aren't true. I've been to a few states and didn't have any experiences described in the video. They are stereotypes, that doesn't mean that all people on either side have to buy in and treat each other that way.
Rene, it's not "all" people at all. Most Canadians and Americans are quite nice. We are probably 99.9 % similar. You go to other countries and you can observe actions (even with total language barriers) that are very similar as well. Loud people, shy people, phony people etc. These Canadians in the video act just like Americans would act trying to describe "American Stereotypes". You would hear the same exact things. Is there some truth to stereotypes. Yes...but the difference is Americans carry the stereotype "baggage" wherever they go. It is well known worldwide because of the huge cultural reach. In some weird way we probably try to follow the stereotype even though most of us are not that way. Hey they want LOUD, well lets not disappoint them! Canadians go overseas and people in the other countries expect NICE so you better deliver the goods and smile a lot doing it.
That's hilarious, I agree that the U.S. has to much fast food and overweight people, but, Canada is EXACTLY THE SAME. I like how that lady thinks Americans consider themselves the center of the world, the truth is, America is very much the center of the world at this time in history. It's just a matter of fact that the U.S. currently has the most powerful military in the world and economically the U.S. is the largest economy and world standard for currency. ALL nations want to have an economic relationship with the U.S.!!! Canada really should be HUGE fans of America, Canadians can enjoy great national security and major economic advantages because of their relationship to the U.S.. Those Canadians that have this bad attitude towards the U.S. should really take a minute to see how much better they get to live because of them!!!!!
oh yeah? good thing we don't rely on usa for everything eh?? specially when it comes to health care, free education and all that. Funny how you highlight power because that's all you americans want no wonder y'all are stirring up shit with almost every country.
Where do you think all the Americans get all there water, oil and food sources from? Canada. America is not the best country or the center of attention, neither are Canadians. You don’t have to make people think that Americans are better then everyone else.
"America doesn't like Canada as much as we like them" Did you ask Texas? Don't as Texas. Texas doesn't even like America. California LOVES you Canadians
I love the USA they are the best people to ever be place a long side those that nature so joined together let no man put us under as the great jfk told the Canadian government thank you for your support USA and love you as a brother
If anything, this video puts Canadians in a bad light, as every one of the people interviewed acted like a pretentious jerk. This host (Yafa?) is not asking what their views on Americans are (as his video tittle and intro suggests), he is only asking them what stereotypes they have about Americans. Seems one sided. Sad nonetheless, as Americans hold Canadians to such high esteem.
+Zack Taylor that's what i dislike about the videos/the host as well. for example, the video "what do germans think of americans" turned out to be rather brutal and made germans look super hostile, bitter and overbearing. but he did not ask what germans think of americans, but what stereotypes germans know about americans. so of course everyone started listing the all-so-common stereotypes: fat, uneducated, war-mongering, self-centered, superficial, etc. but you can't simply take that out of context and simply assume that germans agree with these stereotypes, which they mostly don't. i don't know. either he should change the title to "what stereotypes do you know" or actually ask people for their opinion on something.
+staxstix but the thing is if every country is saying the same thing about Americans there has to be something wrong over there, im i right? " fat, uneducated, war-mongering, self-centered, superficial" these stereotypes that you mention some of have to be true if not all of them, i've been to the US many times and i get the feeling that they do think that they are better than Canadians. Most of them haven't even been to another country, they are close minded people that live in a bubble.
+MrMikeyboy4 we haven't been to other countries because it's expensive, and America has a lot of things to see in its own country. Oh and by the way, if you're going to say negative things about a country you better do more research than what you've heard. The way the world views America and how America actually is are two completely different things.
Speaking as an American, I guess I should be really angry with Canadian's for stereotyping a majority of us American's as fat, loud, arrogant and stupid. Not that I can disagree with the loud, arrogant and stupid part of their description, but the fat part is more relative to how old you are, how poor, what part of the US you live in, that kind of thing. But, even if I had a good reason to be angry with the stereotypes that Canadian's have about American's? I never could be angry because Canadian's never seemed important enough to ever to get angry with. I mean, not only is Canada almost completely irrelevant to the outcome of North America, Canada is pretty much totally irrelevant to the rest of the world. The only thing that Canada has going for itself is the fact that it's located just North of America. Without us Canada, you have nothing going on.
Sheldon Mearow " export and destroy all your land with to sell we got nothing" What? That is suppose to be an example of #3 in education? Just what language or logic are you trying to text?
the point is ur country focusses more on having a military than an education or healthcare and the fact that a litteral fucking racist douchbag is winning in the polls shows that a majority of ur country is a joke
