@@rinkrose_4544 A lot of people thought it was a really bad idea but I thoroughly enjoyed this show and loved the characters (especially Heather Duke) I think the show got a lot of unnecessary hate tbh but people are entitled to their own opinions, not everyone will like it.

Finally someone who isn't hating on the reboot because it isn't an exact copy of the original. I've re-watched the show three times now and i absolutely love it, the actors did a brilliant job.

I think its decent I think the thing about it for me is that the protagonist are straight white kids and minorities as the heathers but other than that its decent

I don't know, this version of J.D. is played up to be even MORE of a villain than the movie, I think it works. And Veronica falls for him because she agrees with his whole thing about trying to be edgy and how society being more accepting is bad. Veronica is more in love with the idea of him, a problem a lot of high schoolers do have with dating. IDK that's my interpretation everyone can have their own opinion I guess. 😊

No... why fix something that's not broken. The Heathers in the 80's were all white pretty rich girls. The director wanted the Heathers to be casted this way to show some truth that not all pretty white girls are nice. It's already been done, so to make the Heathers different this time, is to change its direction for its success. Plus the people that aren't familiar with the original would say that this show copied off of Means Girls, which would be a misconception.

Tai Singleton It wouldn’t have been a mistake. The whole point of the original movie was that it was the rejects against he privileged blonde skinny white girls. This just ruins that who outlook. Veronica called her fat so clearly she and other people judge her. It’s supposed to be hard for everyone to judge them because they’re so “perfect.” This show was a mistake

+Flaming female gamer okay, but that was the eighties. That was a different time and it was trying to show you that everyone had problems, not just the skinny white girls. Shannon Doherty read the script and like it because she understood what was the morale of the whole thing. In today's age... fat kids can be popular. Black girls can be popular. In rhe eighties rich white girls were looked at as these perfect girls, so they made this movie to show otherwise. To repeat the same casting description in today's age is pointless... it's been done over and over again... jawbreakers, sugar and spice, mean girls... it's time to do something that's a little different, but deliver the same message. I think more people would want to compare versions if they did the exact same thing. Don't get me wrong, I am sure people will still compare, but they can't in certain ways because they changed it.

Nope, I actually liked the entire reboot because I never saw it as Heathers I just saw it as something else or a movie inspired by Heathers. Thats why I enjoyed it.

Tessa Red All actors have to start somewhere. If all actors were judged by directors on their first role, we simply wouldn’t have big name actors. Saying they won’t be taken seriously again because of this just isn’t true. Most actors are self employed, meaning they have to take whatever work they can get. A good casting director will know a tv show tanking is rarely the fault of the actors (more often than not it’s poor marketing, bad directors or writers). Technically speaking, these people are going to go into auditions with a resume saying they had staring roles in something connected to a beloved franchise. If anything, they’ll just be taken more seriously.
