I truly believe the B10 and SEC will expand further and go to 4 divisions each and do away with their conference title games.

If notre dame were to join a conference it needs to be the big ten. USC, Michigan, Purdue, and Michigan State are all rivals of ND plus a chance to play Penn state, Ohio state, Nebraska. As a ND fan that gets me hype im all for it!

The conference champs getting a buy is a annoyance to ND. They need to be one of the other teams. The threat that could force them into a conference is if all the playoff spots are allocated to teams in conferences. NDs independence has served them well over the years but the time may be coming for them to join a conference.

If others could they would..be Independent..until it's more profitable for ND they're not going.. & yah, they joined ACC for covid..so CFB could take place..& the won the Conference, lost Conf champ gm only.. & 5seed.. oh yah, send a southern team to South Bend in Dec 20 .😂 welcome to winter!!

It is urgent to get this done, Now! Timeline is Mid-March! Why? No one ever explains why. They always answer that: "Bill Hancock says", "ESecPN demands," Well, guess what? I don't give a rat's behind about either. Bill Hancock was one of the primary people who allowed CFP's disastrous debacle in 2023. He's about to retire and won't be around in 2026. Maybe he could do us all a favor and retire on March 1, 2024! And ESecPN? Whatever they want, I'm against! Why is ESecPN calling all the shots? Where are, CBS, Fox, NBC and the rest of the potential bidders for the CFP? 2026 is supposed to be a new contract. Whose idea is to give ESecPN monopoly status? Who received the bribe and how much was it? Someone needs to ask these questions, and while these folks are all pleading the Fifth Amendment, allow the Commissioners and Presidents to go back to their schools and do the thoughtful research necessary to a fair and profitable CFP in 2026 instead of a shotgun wedding.

To all you ND haters, ND does not need to be in a conference, they are ND. All this talk about CFP expansion already is for one reason only and that is tio accommodate the SEC and Big 10. I.E. under next years 5-7 breakout, you have the 4 power conferences plus the mid-major or whatever they are, that is 5 teams. Next 4 will more than likely be the 4 conference championship game losers, that brings you to 9. ND if they win 10 are a shoe in, possibly with 9. Thats 10. That leaves just 2 open to be gobbled up by the power 4. You think the SEC or Big 10 are going to be happy with the possibility of just 2 teams in the CFP? I highly doubt that. They will not he happy when expanding to 14 and possibly only getting 3 teams in. ND has nothing to do with the equation.

Does she understand NO MATTER who wins the national championship they will have to win 4 staight games?? And the loser of the conference championship games wont get a bye.....ND gets one regardless...

The idea that the B10 has enough good teams is hilarious. At best they have 3. But that’s in a good year. Normally they haven’t had a good conference that’s good, ever.

They add some decent PAC 12 teams so 3 won't be an issue. Nobody outside of the top 5 will ever win it anyway unless it's something like an injured QB coming back in time for the playoff.

The Big 10 does NOT have enough good teams to make a 14 team playoff matter. Ridiculous! What? two good teams a year and maybe Penn State has a good year and another outlier who might be able to win one out of conference? Give us all a break

You realize if it was a 12 team playoff last year that Michigan, Washington, Oregon, Ohio State and Penn State would've all made it, right? And that the National Championship Game that was just played was an All Big Ten title game, right? And that, according to Vegas, the Big Ten has 4 of the top 9 teams with the best odds to win the national championship this year, right? So GTFO here with that, "Dur, the Big Ten is bad, dur, dur, dur" Cro-Magnon level thinking.
