Truth be told, a lot of construction was done last 5 years. The country was one huge construction site. I'm glad to see projects are set to begin picking back up. The impact on tourism should be great. I've been on that route by road a few times.
One benefit is that some tourists who have just disembarked from the cruise ship may arrive at the hotel faster, reducing the time spent on the road. In the past, these tourists may have to cancel their hotel reservations early due to inconvenient roads
@@KingKali-e1j Yes tourists like maximizing their time in a place, and longer trip durations prevent them from doing so. Good roads enable them to do more, therefore spend more money.
@@kinara5365we are already here and now that the road is built we will buy all the land and build watch this space even in Vipingo we are creating a new city
@@kinara5365 What do you mean, I am already here. Its not full. There's NOTHING here. You need 1 million more people from developed cities and countries to come and help you develop the county. The locals are simple people with limited exposure to technology and modern processes.
@@jzk2020 you don't need 1 million people from developed cities and countries to come and help develop our country. The locals are enough to develop our country and they are closing their businesses stop looking outside for solutions that can easily be found locally. Discard that mentality. @@AmazingMania -Yaap. Ruto the mouthpiece of lies .This project was planned during the Kibaki era and Uhuru actually launched. We vividly remember the launch and fanfare that accompanied it.its shockingly petty for Ruto to remove his predecessors name from the foundation stone or whatever its called and put his on🙄🙄.
I don't understand the expected completion dates. Are they starting with lot 2 and then lot 1? Seems the former's completion date is further than the latter.
Lot 1 is 13km dual carriageway with footpaths and at least 5 interchanges! Lot 2 is longer but only single carriageway with minimal interchanges that’s why it’ll be completed faster!
Unfortunately the debt is necessary. All these roads should have been constructed consistently from the 60/70s but two and a half decades under you-know-who were wasted. What we're doing now is catching up. If we're to move forward as a country, this is necessary.
@@kim1570Even if all these roads were built in the 70s, by now they would have literally served their service life and a rebuilding would still be needed! 😂
@@our10picks18but the impact could have taken Kenya very far by now.......the country develops when transport is easier....plus roads can stay over 200 years if they are managed properly and Kenya has done great in management through KuRA
