"Nitrogen based lifeform" Three words that already show that no scientist worked on this movie.
@Lurkai
@Lurkai 2 года назад
Well im sure there was scientific input somewhere lol tho the basis of nitrogen based life is highly improbable But not entirely impossible 👽 Just probably would only exist for a fraction of a moment or something like that in our world
@xironevarus576
@xironevarus576 2 года назад
@@Lurkai theoretically when the universe was younger and more condensed. time was a bit faster as well. Leaving a sort of temporal goldilocks zone for possible nitrogen based life. But then again we are putting arbitrary limiters. If there are hundreds of billions potential earth like planets. If nitrogen based life is possible. It's just as comman as us at least. Albeit we may have missed the timeframe for them to exist.(unless closer to galactic centers could still act like a SafeZone for these types of life
@calebdonaldson8770
@calebdonaldson8770 2 года назад
@@xironevarus576 Not to mention that our atmosphere contains PLENTY of nitrogen, allowing this creature to thrive like it never could. As far as we know, the essential requirements & conditions for life may be different on different planets. We are trying to project the same qualities of Earth-based life to the entire Universe, and that's just not probable.
@xironevarus576
@xironevarus576 2 года назад
@@calebdonaldson8770 exactly. The only real problem is we base it on how open carbon is to binding to other elements. Where nitrogen can't hold as many bonds . Making it easier for carbon based life. But not impossible for nitrogen based life
@xironevarus576
@xironevarus576 2 года назад
@@calebdonaldson8770 being said though we could make some assumptions. Like nitrogen based life being more akin to underwater life only. I mean more base animals like sponges,jellyfish, and maybe corals. But they may be unable to collect calcium so chordates and possibly arthropod like animals may be non existent in those branches of life

Oh, dear, Neant, I never thought I'd have to do this! DIMETRODON WAS NOT A DINOSAUR! You are right in saying it was a synapsid, but Dimetrodon was also a pelycosaur, and is considered to be a branch on the line from which us mammals come from. Dinosaurs and birds are diapsids- the difference may not seem that significant to most people, but for biologists and paleontologists its fundamental! Despite that, I enjoyed the video. Evolution was/is a good film but we don't hear much about it these days. Even so, it's a good romping mood lifter!

It would've horrifying in the original script. SPOILER The bug would've infested a red-shirt who would panic at it burrowing into his leg. The scene plays out roughly the same until they get him to the surgery table, where the surgeon panics as the bug reaches his bone - here's the kicker, instead of just going to the guys arse for extraction, it starts *eating his bones* while moving further up the leg. The scene would've shown a CAT scan of the bug slowly making its way up the leg, devouring bone like nothing, with the MC commenting that it eats calcium. Eventually, the bug splits in two at the tibia, and its offspring starts devouring the spine, eventually killing the poor red-shirt.
