"This is, I agree, compulsory viewing. This is the first documentary about the corruption of war by propaganda which serves to progress the argument beyond the usual hysteria. Pilger has, with this film, moved away from the slew of similar-themed documentaries which add little to the debate but more circular arguments. Instead, Pilger goes straight for admissions of guilt. He manages to get some truly frank disclosures of global conspiracy and madness from the most relevant people he could realistically get access to, and for this he deserves the praise.
It can be argued, and it will be no doubt, that there is very little material to act as a counterweight to his position in the film. But after you finish watching it, you will hopefully realise what a stupid criticism it is to make in the first place, considering what this documentary is designed to rally against.
I won't get into the moral position it presents, as that's up to you in the end, but I'd be hard pushed to find anybody not moved, repulsed or outraged by this film, or all of those things simultaneously. Just watch it. Do it now."

We have the power to solve this issue. Simply by rejecting the monetary system entirely and permanently. Basically, change the incentive to change the behavior that results. This is the world we get when money is the primary incentive. Haven't we figured that out yet??? Reject money, adopt a resource based economy instead. The public has been mesmerized by media. If there is one thing I'd like to see happen, it's growing awareness of how media has become corrupt and how it's relayed a corrupt government message regarding three of the major issues of the day: covid, our intentionally porous Southern border, and the risky and needless proxy war against nuclear Russia. There's obviously much more to the picture (such as how we became stuck with Joe Biden/Kamala Harris), and it can be understood simply by questioning everything we're being told while applying logic and seeking out the truth-tellers.

This is why I prefer the ones wronged to tell their own truth and show their own facts if they are attacked by the Government or Anyone Else. Then the Government or Anyone Else committing these serious crimes MUST be deterred from attacking the ones with these facts over and over again without serious consequences and liabilities. The way proof is obtained by the ones in the wrong is very important and has to be legal. Many don't realize that rewriting history is nothing new, in fact, very large parts of history was highly distorted, or mostly fictional when it was new. Then whenever someone else is in charge, alterations are made. Different groups have different reasons to "Reimagine the Facts", over and over.

The indoctrination of American exceptionalism, and the false religion of “freedom” runs deep. Conversations with friends and family on topics, like these never end well in my experience, except for the few that have already started to awaken themselves. One trick I do that is to send links to adjacent content that they may be interested in that starts to populate their algorithms with more videos like this. Perhaps a more lighthearted video on propaganda or globalist agenda.

This underscores why there's been such a concerted effort to silence and hinder Trump in his quest for world peace. He's united more countries than any previous president, and in my eyes, he's a hero with an unparalleled love for this nation and its people, along with Lincoln and JFK among US presidents. Trump's willingness to relinquish his luxuries for the betterment of others is commendable, and it's perplexing that some fail to recognize this. Great points, Desiredbalance. I've always said that it's for a reason Trump has been attacked 24/7 for years. The reason wasn't because he was evil, but because he was telling the truth about the war-mongers and psychopaths orchestrating the wars and the news about the wars. The military/industrial war complex wasn't about to allow a 'blowhard' businessman to sully their game. This is why Trump is being threatened with prison as he's accused of the ''crime'' of questioning the 2020 election. The last few years have been a textbook example of media transformed into almost continuous propaganda. Covid day-in and day-out, complete with inflated numbers and, of course, thick doses of fear. Sadly, much of the public have believed the propaganda with which our media have pummeled the public. I'm hoping more are learning they're been gamed and thus can sidestep the media onslaught by means of awareness.

They will say anything to pull at your heartstrings… that’s partially what this whole doc is about. I don’t support any politicians except on the local level. No president is going to save this country, it’s just the cold hard truth. I envy your amount of hope and love for a ruler, but we the people hold the power. No matter who wins next election things are going to get worse. We only have the illusion of choice. None of us chose either candidate

When we keep repeating the idea that they don't matter, we risk discouraging people from exercising their right to vote and appreciating the power we have to choose the right representatives. Politicians benefit when we become disengaged because it allows them more control over the outcomes. To make a difference, we need to become more involved in local politics and elections. A distinction needs to be made between an authoritarian and warlike government concocting a false pretext for war and young men being fooled into believing the propaganda and risking their lives for what they wrongly believe to be a just cause. I respect anyone who risks their lives for a cause they believe in. The fact they've been deceived, along with much of the public, is a separate issue from the courage to risk one's life. It would be different if the troops k.n.e.w. the war was nonsense but still engaged in it.

Two major events drove me to divorce my profession, both inside a newsroom's conference room at different times. The first happened when the numbers I was reporting (numbers of what is beside the point) didn't match the numbers everyone else had. I told my news director that I had been given those numbers too, but they didn't make sense so I did some digging. "These are the official numbers" he said, "and the officials are our trusted source". I said nothing, but at the tip of my tongue I had this sentence "but officials are what we are supposed to be skeptical off, as in we're "watchdogs?". Second event was the invasion of Iraq and corporate lawyers basically said, "we're not covering the horrors of war" to which I replied "the horrors or reality of war?". His reply was "perspective, we all have one don't we? Our mission here is to protect the American Public from the horrors of war". "I'm sorry" I said, "but my job, my mission, is to inform, tell the truth, if we feel so compelled as a country to protect our people, maybe we shouldn't go to war."... Needless to say, I couldn't sell out, maybe I should have, but my soul is intact and not for sale.

I would like to see a network news program that not just mentions but features retractions. Admit when you were wrong. The more prestigious the outlet the less they seem to focus on accuracy. Sensationalism is the game. Retractions should be more important. So often they begin stories printing the names of who got a speeding ticket last week but failing to report that the officer that issued it lied about his radar readout. Things like that happen all the time. Finish what you start or don't start.
