Gary, I love your channel. The sound of the Dragster Tractor is awesome. Sounds like a Harley with straight pipes. I really appreciate you telling us all about the Dragster.
Thank you. I appreciate it. I have started another one that will be on here soon. And that Husqvarna will probably be sacrificed as well. Thanks for watching
Im building a mower right now the same as yours all cause of you thank you so much for the video definitely subscribed ready for more content for sure keep up the good work bro❤
Great fn project. Shows what we can do with an old motor, vs gokart wich tend to be expensive. The ground clearance for those of us driving in dirt fields vs a track more options
Thank you. I grew up with a 5hp one wheel peel go-kart that had about 2 inches of ground clearance. It was very limited in its capability. The mower platform is so much better for a universal go anywhere fast fun machine. And old mowers can be really cheap. The best part is having a manual multi-speed transmission. So the same setup can crawl around off-road and still achieve a fun speed flat-out. Thanks for watching.
Hell yeah!! I'm in the middle of nowhere I moved to my aunt's house and this will keep me busy building!!! I can't get these mowers little to nothing and the motors too. I might need to look through videos and your help to set all the things where they need to go. I'd like to make a 2 seater of this and make it a ratrod grandprix Indy car
Very entertaining bud. I like the extra commenting and really like a thorough explanation of things. If I wanted a quick video there's plenty of those in here. All I can say is I like it and it has a nice classic look to it.. Looks fun and really enjoyed the video. Nicely done.
I would have to disagree. The back side of the belt, which is flat not V shaped, rides on that idler. So, a flat idler is correct in that location. Thanks for your input. And thanks for watching
Nice build. I like your ramblings!. I suggest change the front to a more vintage tractor. I suggest Massey Ferguson. something like the TE10 /TE20 /TE35. In Sweden the TE10 have a nickname, The "Grålle". It is a weird name but it roughly translate to "The grey one" Google "Grolle" and you will see. This build is something that resembles the "Cycle cart" movement and the build i have in my head. I love your build! Keep upgrading and updating!!!
Thanks. I appreciate it. I will definitely check out the TE10. I learned about cycle carts recently. They are really cool and have that vintage look. They just have the engine in the wrong place and not enough cylinders. I definitely have a lot more plans for this machine, but I will probably be working on a couple of new projects, probably in the next few videos. Thanks for watching.
Kool stuff. Curious if it would be possible to make one of these sweet rigs with a diesel mower motor 🤔 Just a thought because you said there hasn't been many Diesel things on the channel. Found you thru this lawnmower build. Went diving thru your Videos and seems like you LOVE that Cat truck you got. Hybrid of the 2 maby? Oh and don't worry bout over explaining was wondering about all that stuff you put in this one.
Thank you. Yes, I definitely want to build one with a diesel engine. I have a 3 cylinder kubota diesel engine that I'd like to use for a build. My truck is really what got my channel started, and I do love it. I was planning a channel based on diesel truck content. In hindsight, I should have come up with a more universal name for the channel. Anything diesel related tends to be expensive. Even small diesel engines. But there will still be more of it on here. Thanks for watching
I did a pully swap on a mower I have, I can't figure out why it keeps throwing belts and shredding them. But I got a second rider I'm welding four wheeler rims and tires to the tractor rims front and back
Nice, that's definitely a way to do it. That's cool. Typically, throwing the belt is caused by misaligned pulleys. Also, having belt gaurds will help. Shredding could be a few things. Make sure the pulleys don't have rust in the groove. Thanks for watching
I'm probably going to build an old mini racecar because of this build. Front using a ex500 engine and rear a Dana 28. Going to try to keep it old school look as possible similar to what you got going on here.
Lol I am subscribed. An sent you an email of my project waiting to copy your lead. Wheel hubs and move front axle first up. Live in Canada. Going to have the coolest lawnmower that don’t cut grass on the block. Soon.
Thanks for the tip, but to be honest, I'm really not a fan of a torque converter drive setup. I understand that it's probably better for a number of reasons. But I don't like the way they feel. I want it to drive and feel like a regular manual trans with a clutch.
Im going to use my old b@s horizontal twin won 14 hp. Or a full pressure lube 12 Kawasaki flat head from a 80s wheel horse. Use a Cushman golf cart rearend
Thank you for this build video! I didn't know you could get a belt that long but I guess it makes sense. It's probably just a deck belt being used as a drive belt. What is the diameter of that boat steering wheel?
You're welcome, and thank you, I appreciate you watching. I do think the belt might be for a deck. They are available in many sizes. The belt I'm using is 1/2 X 107". The original belt was around 96". The steering wheel is 14.75". I don't know the particular model it was from. I found it on eBay just by searching "vintage steering wheel"
I definitely agree. That was a tiktok video I did as a joke response to some comments on there. It's cool how the whole look and vibe of the machine transform from just a different wheel/tire combo.
Is it possible to make a similar lawn tractor abit quieter then stock? How did you put what looks like a speed gauge on it. Im also thinking of redoing the lights by updating the headlights plus turnsignals and rear lights with a secondary battery and switches a throttle pedal and i want to get a similar higher back seat and a little cargo space in back plus a lawn mower trailer hitch
@greenmachine55 You have some great ideas for your build. Making it quieter is just a matter of using a different muffler and possibly a long exhaust. Maybe try finding a used stock muffler from a quad or something similar. The gauge on my dashboard is a tachometer that reads engine RPM. Check out my video called "2 step on a race mower" in that video, I briefly go over how the tach is wired. If you want a speedometer, look for a GPS speedometer on Amazon or eBay. The high-back seat is made for a Manco go-kart and can be purchased from Gopowersports.com. They also sell this seat through Amazon and Ebay. You will definitely have a unique build when you're done. If you have any other questions, you can email me. Garydeyo302@gmail.com I hope this info helps. Good luck and thanks for watching
@@jerryblackledge9749 The front axle is bolted to the frame. The frame is reinforced in that area as well, and there's a steel backing plate behind the front of the frame.
I see only 2 things I change moving that bend pipe back so you wont burn your arm and leg and just make more of a wider foot rest and were you can have a real good peddle thats all It does give me a idea with it since I been thinking of them Cheeze wedge electric cars and make a safer back end and use a long axle from them dune buggy go car and used that back end gear box with chain drive and use it as a double chair drive and where you can out a disk brake system in
Definitely some great ideas. In fact, the gearbox with chain drive to go-kart axle is something I've been wanting to try. The exhaust pipe just looks too good to change. I have a plan for a heat shield that will help with the burnt arm. I also have a brake setup I'm going to be doing. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@DieselFuelNetwork I just feel that rod in that transmission bend to easy with that way you have it (even thought its cool looking and amazing how it works) just think a double chain drive with chain gears you be better off (just me) and when your running that other axle you can put a break system in and you might have to ad another pedle for breaks but I figure adding more flooring for you feet be more relaxing and for peddles BUt and But its your project not mine so feel what you like to do I enjoy the video and your idea too
