How the iPad Pro 2020 Gives a Glimpse into the Future 

I absolutely love my 2018 12.9 iPad Pro. From recording footage (yeah, I do... kind of not in public), taking notes, downloading music from safari, to photo and video editing with pencil and mouse, to basic vector drawing, to saving to cloud storage and uploading to RU-vid... plus tracking my videos, playing games with controller and yep watching videos. Bonus: responding to my texts, phone calls and Virtual conference calls

yeah im actually kind of happy its not a huge approvement over the 2018 model, because i didn't want mine to be all outdated lol. i love this thing though i use it for everything i barely touch my macbook air.

1st tip: ditch the physical keyboard and use the onscreen on. 1000x better than ANY physical keyboard.

I was definitely hoping for more HW wise especially the screen and SOC but I guess the Miniled screens and 5nm SOC is not quite ready yet so they were forced to get something out there now with another iPad to propably come later the year. The new keyboard with trackpad is overdue and very welcome given how long Microsoft has already been doing this. That price thought... wow :( I really dont think I will ever use the cameras on a tablet that much and for me AR also still feels a bit like a gimmick but more functionality is always welcome I guess and in time maybe some awesome apps will take advantage of this and make it more useful. The better microphones will be great for work calls This is really is becoming a laptop replacement and might become my first Apple device. Its everything I hoped Google would do with Android until they fckd it up and decided ChromeOS is the way to go. That said, there is still a few things I hope they fix in software and a few HW changes I can dream about SW 1. Multi user support like Android has had for many many years. Sharing a device like this in a family is so common. A guest mode too 2. Output to external screens at native external screens resolution e.g 4k 3. So happy they support external storage just keep expanding support for more filesystems pls, even if we have to pay for filesystem plugins afterwards 4. Work with Microsoft and Google to get office/docs feature complete with desktop versions 5. App drawer like Android so I can get rid of the clutter on my desktop. Hate having the 100s of icons there. 6. Keep working on that file browser 7. So much of the keyboard and mouse settings are split in different places. Hope they bring it all together under one Input Setting Menu option 8. Final Cut for iPad.... HW 1. A second USBC port would be awesome 2. I was hoping they would have MiniLED in this release 3. More powerful 5nm A14x SOC

the ipad pro is a very much capable computer that's not a computer lol. ive ditched my mac a year ago with nooo regrets. ive edited in 4k music videos, short horror films, vacation videos and many more. think outside the box and you can get past some of the limitations of luma fusion like masking, different animations, different color grading, etc. using different apps. Ipad pro 2018 or 2020 is amazing for professional content creation!!!

I know this sounds crazy but what if Apple released their own VR headset or made other headsets compatible with the iPad so you can use your iPad to scan your room for your play area and set boundaries if you step out the play area. Or filming with different environments/backgrounds similar to the mandalorian without the green screen🧐

The only reason I can't use my iPad Pro as my work station is because of the Apps. With the mouse and trackpad support it's almost there. Now the developpers (like Adobe and Microsoft) just have to optimise their apps for it. When Outlook, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and Teams on the iPad are optimized I will be able to do real work on it. I am really excited for it tbh. But for now I'll have to wait
