I like the concept, however we must realise that in the previous election there was no Green candidate. The only opposition parties to the Conservatives were Labour and the Lib Dems who at the time were very different ideologically - Labour were a hard-left Socialist party under Corbyns leadership, while Lib Dems were more centrist. But at least now they are more alligned ideologically
My mate has an email from the Labour Party stating it was NOT in any way part of this primary in Devon despite the Lib Dem’s claims that they were alongside the greens. What’s the truth???? Because being lied to is not what I thought this was??? Can anyone clarify before we vote?
Hi John. Hopefully this isn’t too late. We’ve always been very open about how, despite local Labour being on board locally with the idea when we first floated it in May 23, national labour barred candidates from participating. They didn’t have a candidate anyway by the time of the town halls, but we kept them on the ballot paper.
