While I also do love the New Super Mario Bros. series, I have to admit It's frustrating that Nintendo has badly oversaturated the NSMB franchise. The new powerups and powerup upgrades along with new characters and concepts are amazing, but... Can't they please switch themes and quit making each new game feel like a reskin of the last one?

This may be an unpopular opinion but I was extremely happy to see the Koopalings make a return. I always loved them in Mario World and Super Star Saga so I was excited seeing them in a modern game.

To me, New Super Mario Bros WII was the *only* good game to me because it was more interesting than DS and WII U because you get to fight the Koopalings more than once.

How the New Super Mario Bros. Series is Mind Blowing to Me. New Super Mario Bros. : 1. The Star Coins are actually well hidden 2. Getting a 1-Up at the top of the flag pole actually gives challenge. The newer games spoil you 3. Does anyone else think it's awesome to see Mario turn into a giant rainbow when he gets the Star power up instead of a rainbow decoration? Plus, he jumps like Sonic. Can't beat that. 4. Seeing every level you did and tapping letters to get sound clips on the end credits screen. 5. I'm sorry I have to agree with Nathaniel on this one. THE MEGA MUSHROOM MAKES YOU FEEL POWERFUL!!!!!!!! 6. Those screw platforms that make you flutter in the air 7. The final castle (besides the boss, ironically) is SO climactic. 8. I just love seeing a small insignificant Goomba turn into huge monstrosity at the World 4 castle. Maybe he ate a Mega Mushroom just before. 9. Watching Bowser burn into Dry Bowser at the World 1 castle. 10. The satisfaction of beating the game, spending every star coin, and buying every wallpaper. Those stars on my file were totally worth it New Super Mario Bros. Wii 1. Spin jump. Yep. That's it. 2. Using the Propeller Mushroom and being able to practically fly! 3. Ya gotta love how adorable the Toads look wearing the Penguin Suit. 4. Yoshi finally makes a comeback. And in 4 different colors. Wow. 5. This game caters to all types of Mario gamers. Like the Super Guide or being in a bubble to opt out of doing a certain part of a level. 6. Now I know a lot of people hate World 9-7 because of it's difficulty but you have to remember World 9 was meant to be for more experienced Mario players. I think it's pretty cool how challenging this level is compared to other levels. 7. Hey, wanna desperately play as Luigi? Well, just activate the Super Guide then immediately start playing. I mean technically your playing as Luigi. 8. It may suck only being able to play as Mario but if you happen to have an extra Wii Remote lying around, just pick the character you want to play as and put Mario in a bubble. That's what I do. 9. So many cool power ups!!! The Ice Flower, the Propeller Mushroom, the Penguin Suit, even the Spin Jump feels like a power up on it's own! 10. Does anyone else think it's satisfying to see Yoshi eat a Pokey whole once it's body turns to fruit? 11. That Yoshi level in World 4 To be continued. Or, um, to be edited

New Super Mario Bros DS was my childhood. It was my first ever Nintendo game and possibly my first video game ever, alongside MarioKart DS and Mario Party DS (amazing games, by the way). I was 3/4ish. I'm 13 now, and have stuck with Nintendo ever since.
