Some Context: In México, we hate Badabun's channel. Everything they do is copy & paste content, + weird dramas with their members. That speedrun video they "did" was viral and critized because of that. It is not a parody, Badabun actually thought they could fool all of us.

The worst bit is that now that RU-vid has removed dislikes, badabun disabled comments so there is no way for regular viewers with no knowledge of the game to know that the run is faked.

The heart rate monitor is actually measuring the combined IQ of the Badabun staff in real-time

The worst part of the entire thing is that he eats greasy pizza then immediately picks up the controller and “plays” without even wiping his hand off. DISGUSTING

Badabun's video is a perfect example of why RU-vid shouldn't have removed dislikes: they help people understand and immediately when a video is garbage. Without dislikes, you need to watch it longer before you realize it and that counts as an undeserved view for the video.

The way he reaches out for the pizza is iconic, like he doesn't even know how much time he has to take a "break" before having to continue fake button mashing. That is to say he doesn't even know the original game *at all* and is just watching what one of his editors threw together.

To the question: What were they thinking? I'm mexican, let me tell you, they're Badabun, they don't do such thing as "thinking".

I always love coming back to this video every now and then, just because of how goofy it all is. Like, the stereotypical neon lighting, the odd coca cola branding, the cold ass pizza and the fucking lava lamp. It looks like you asked an A.I. to depict the most stereotypical RU-vidr ever. Everything about it is just so uncanny.

The fact that someone was able to recognize the stolen footage, but not notice the fake one was faked, and instead accuse the original runner as the copycat, baffles me.

That heart rate monitor is amazing. It doesn't even need to be hooked up to his body.

I think the whole thing was created as a vehicle for a Coke product placement. Whenever he takes a drink he's really careful to put it back so that the label is still facing the camera. My guess is that Coke's Mexican marketing wing offered them a bonus that scaled with how long their product was on screen for, so they concocted the fake speedrun as a way of getting it on screen for basically the whole video. You can imagine them brainstorming the video idea- "That Mario speedrun video with the heart rate monitor got a lot of views- what if we copied that, but rather than him getting stressed out he just sits there sipping coke and eating pizza? We could have the Coke logo on screen the whole time!"

The pizza and coke is only there because they are trying to appeal to gamers. "Gamers eat pizza and coke as they play games right? Let's have this human prop eat it on screen to be authentic." Also looking so serious on a 1-1 makes me giggle. Like even non speed runners can get good times on that.

He could also have pitched it so the automated system of the Orginal content owners don’t claim the video. This can also happen with only the audio of the video if large chunks of the video are matching with the sound of the Orginal owner.

So here’s this: as a Mexican, I think I speak for every single Hispanic person here that Badabun is and will always be a bad channel. They are pretty known for the worst things like stealing videos, bot subs and faking copystrikes. It is in fact one of the most, if not the most, hated channels universally. In the name of the Hispanic community I am very sorry that you had to see this, but be sure that every single one of us hates that channel because it makes us look bad. Badabuns pitch alteration was simply to make the mains hum harder to distinguish. Our ears only note the altered pitch, but on an oscilloscope, it is a MUCH more significant alteration.

The only thing worse than a cheater, is a dumb cheater.
