The Sultan of Brunei has one of the most amazing houses I’ve ever seen here in Santa Barbara. In a place where 20 milllion dollar homes aren’t uncommon at all, his sticks out. I heard many years ago it was for is ex wife or one of his wives. Sits up on a large hill with 360 degree view of ocean, Santa Barbara etc. I’ve passed looking up at that place for 30 years thinking that’s the coolest house ever.
Yup Correct 👍 It's called Jerudong Park but it was built by PRINCE JEFRI and I used to visit frequently to enjoy the FREE GAMES and RIDES during my school days in 94-95 at Jerudong Park .
@@rottingravensblood9106 which he does. Im a bruneian myself and we live a relatively good life because of the sultan. We have free health care, free housing, free education and no income tax.The only tax money we pay is road tax which is only about $60-$80 a year. All of our basic necessities are all covered by the brunei’s goverment. There’s also no homeless person here. The goverment builds housings for the poor and even the unfortunate have an average of 3 cars per household. We also have the lowest crime rates in the world so yeah i’d say we lived a pretty decent life here. Get your facts right
@parzival5668 cut the bullshit. Only the royals and those they are close with are rich. Nepotism is big here. Majority are jobless. Crimes are increasing like break-ins and car thefts. Buildings aren't maintained, nearly everything is run down (I.e. parks, sport stadiums). Trash everywhere you look because people lack discipline are LAZY to not littler.
@@laserching2547And how did the sultan earn it? Did he try to win over the peoples approval to show he was the best candidate to rule the country? No. He was just lucky to be born into the family.
I was at the Sultans birthday party mentioned here. He did have Jackson in Bandar but I think 3 mil was the price. It was done for his people who are fans. It was basically a low key thing . His bro Jeffrey is a nice guy who likes a laugh from what I saw. Really good people in Brunei and very unassuming .
I remember watching a story years ago on 20/20 ABC show. He would invite all kinds of 'model's, including Playboy Centerfolds to live in his compound for weeks, or months. He would not only pay them a lot of money, but shower them with expensive jewelry. This went on for years. Who knows how many millions (or billions) he spent on the women over the years.
When the richest is asked 'what is enough for you?' , he will answer ' it is a bottomless pit that won't be filled.' when the poorest is asked' what is enough for you? 'he will answer' a small cozy house, a good job, a loving wife, healthy children, not too much and I will be thankful to God for His Grace .' What will both of them carry when they leave this world? Nothing, only their deeds, the bad and the good ones 💔.
I heard a story about how one time the sultan and his brother raced Ferraris down park Lane, London ....would love to know if anyone knows more about this. Ta
Just because you are rich does not mean you are evil or whatever... All of us are sinners its just a matter of choice and free will if you wanna be an evil rich man or a good rich man... Lmao dont generalize and dont make excuses for yourself because youre poor
Welcoming, accommodating such wealthy prince would cost a lot without doubt ,but, considering the extravagant life style the prince of Brunei has been maintaining, he will surely spend a lot more to be satisfied with his stay 😎
And with Brunei have a very small population, the total cars he and is brother own is about 5k,which can be shared to every single family in the country
Wish he was still the Minister of Finance today though.. He wasn’t stingy with the money he had. He might’ve spent some of that money on the people to elevate unemployment. We currently have the highest unemployment rate in Southeast Asia with the tiniest population.
He wasnt stingy though as he paid 'private escort' usd200K each... Because of his lavish extravaganza spending Brunei loss more than 20 billion and caused massive unemployment rate till today. If you remember, unemployment rate of Brunei started in the late year 1996.
And that most expansive amusement park in South-east Asia used to be free for locals and foreigners back then. So neighbouring countries would come to Brunei routinely on the weekends. 😂
fyi a lot of us dont have jobs in brunei... certificates are just papers to them, if you have relations to the higher ups, you are safe.. thats what i can say
@@dimitri_ra8018 you are highlighting one of your problems..what about all the other things govt did for you?how do you get your education?how do you get your allowance for your "paper certificates"?how do you get your healthcare?? dont go drag brunei on the mud with your own struggle kid owh btw,its all for free!
It’s a new year with bright and beautiful ideals , hope you’ll got a huge list for this 2021 . Coz last year was messed up due to many weren’t wise enough to consider investment . But the question, what will you achieve this year?
Nothing other than the gift of life. And I have consider venturing into something lucrative and profitable , last year was a lesson to everyone especially me . Well seeing 2021 is enough reason to sit down and think about your financial life .
I almost slept at the streets last year when my rent was due 😭 but thanks to a friend who introduced me to Mrs Sophie Clare Williams ,a financial adviser.
Mrs Sophie Clare Williams is holding a very high prestige and reputation in personal financial management. I’m happy you mentioned her. My wife recommended her to me after investing 3 grand and she really helped us in times of this bad pandemic crisis. I’m close to my retirement and this has been and well remain a good survival for me
i feel sorry for his wives cos those are just marriage of conveniences cos his royal harem are his favorite splurge. The royal throne will dissolve with him once he departs.
The rich sees an economic crisis as a garage sale also the stays rich investing and diversifying their portfolio with stocks, crypto currency and forex trading which is the wisest thing individual needs to do and it's really profiting

Nice video !!very engage from beginning to end . Nevertheless business and investment are the easiest way to make money irrespective of which party make it to the oval office.
Maybe Google datas Or from their wikipedia. But, as long as I know they down to earth. And in their country, free education& free medical care for everyone. And I heard if someone need to go foreign to medical need, for them king himself paid .
Wow wow very beautiful 🤩 just enjoy watching this channel video very interesting very wonderful person..! Thank you 🙏 for sharing this beautiful 🤩 video and beautiful cool 😎 beautiful 🤩 photo and app love ❤️👍
Now Brunei already miskin. Budget deficit for almost 7 years already. The mishaps due to maintaining the life style and high class standard cost of living of the royalties.
What do you mean by miskin? We lived a pretty decent life. All basic necessities are free here. Couldn’t say that about yours tho. Stop worrying about our country and start worrying about yours.
@@parzival5668how do you know they're not Bruneian? And Bruneians are poor. Only the royals and their associates are rich. It's people like you who are satisfied with mediocrity that are the issue and why brunei will NEVER improve
Bitcoin trading is hard in the measure of your commitment, dedication, patience and persistence.more you work with dedication for the long term trade less hard become the Bitcoin trading.
I worked for the Family and on many of these projects through the '90s, as usual the story detail and values are off, but I guess that's not the point.
Oh my god, the amount of misinformation in this video is pathetic. You can't even differentiate His Majesty The Sultan and Prince Jefree. Please just delete this 😂
@@deliagrutas71 tbh this is probably the only one thing I 100% AGREE on about my country. Wifi is shit, tourism is shit, no interesting place to vist as well. Good thing you arent those type of people that said "Oh I hate your country cuz they are homophobic" or "Lmao the shariah law is shit and your people are shit" Thank you kind sir
@@mustard4762 look i dont mean harm to your country but your government need to bring more competitive in terms of tourism. Since the government keep relying on your oil and gas for the gdp income of the country, they'll need to do something in order to make your country seems interesting
We need to abolish all of these princes, kings, queens, royal families. We don't need anyone to tell us what to do. It's already bad enough that we allow them to tax our income. The countries are just businesses for these "princes".
No thank you. We lived a decent and peaceful life here in brunei under a monarch of our sultan. Tax income? Cant relate cause we aint got that here. I dont care if they have more money than us. As long as our basic necessities are provided. Heck they could buy 50 hotels if they want too. Couldnt careless about it. Our king is our leader and we entrust him to do whats best for our country and the people in it and he did a pretty good job at providing a peaceful and decent lives for us. If it aint broke dont fix it.
Awesome Prince Charming Brunei@/mateen 1 Highness great leadership for young people doing good deeds.@/pro Athlete@POLO game doing yours heart honesty true kindness job well successful@GOOD luck! LOVE wins.” 🌏❤️💪🏻🔥⭐️⏱👍🏻🏆🥇 . Prince with the heart
so instead of renting the 25000 a night room (and maybe extra a night for extra services) , instead he buys the hotel when he probably won't even visit it more then 10 days a year. It's like playing GTA online, but with real money so basically he's not the brightest of people... he just has been born in the richest crib
To the people thinking that the Prince actually spend 20B $... ur stoopid. The number these people use in their titles are the peoples net worth, not the money they spent.
Really? Typically buying expensive cars are a depreciating asset, not an investment! There are exceptions, but that is questionable. As an airplane person (Airline EVP) nothing loses more money over time than an airplane! Much more so than expensive cars, airplanes are a money pit! I cannot tell you how many "rich people" I have talked out of buying private jets for their own use. With few exceptions, I always advise charter or perhaps "fractional ownership" plans, never full ownership. Yachts are perhaps the biggest money pits of them all, and I have been a guest on a few during my day. Those floating money pit palaces make owning a private jet seem like chump change! At least with an airplane, housing it inside a quality, sealed hangar helps maintain and protect it over time, away from the elements. Boats, large boats, begin to deteriorate due to salt water constantly, and the market is quite small. .
