Are we not gonna discuss the size of the Nebulon B Frigate? I mean I can't help but notice how it's as large as half the size of a Star Destroyer, then it's back to double the size of a Blockaded Runner.

my problem with most star wars legends battles is that the rebels always win by plot armor. I mean a bunch of frigates vs 4 ISD's and a gladiator would have been over in no time if not for the presense of some "hero" character, In most battles the rebels/ NR win its not because of clever tactics or superior skill its just because some important named character was there and made the imperials all die. A prime example the battle of orinda where the rebels only escaped because rouge squadron destroyed a group of interdictors. yeah just blew them up, somehow a squadron of fighters just exploded 6 418 cruisers, sure they had E wings but seriously? at least in the movies when the deaths stars got blown up it was because of a well defined weakness, not "lando was awesome and used the falcon to blow up the death star"

How the hell are 5 star destroyers with over 250 turbo lasers combinded unable to destroy a Nebulon B frigate, a Quaser and two assault frigates? Seriously, the rebel fleet should have been anilated, then the Moncalamari ships arrived.

I always thought the Salvation looked waay to big to be a regular nebulon B. It looked more sililar to a cruiser class and ive tried to see if it was a modified or maybe a prototype class of the nebulon ship line since it went head to head in a gunfight against a freaking imperial class star destroyer and didnt just get instantly pulverized. And even after they rammed the salvation through kamino's shield I still dont understand how the 11 ships with nothing larger than a dreadnought couldve taken out 3 star destroyers. I wish they couldve thrown in maybe a sullust cruiser or some B-wings to make the battle seem a little more plausible to win for the rebels other than mega thick plot armor. just my opinion though. sorry for long comment ^^

At the end of the game, if you choose the dark side path, you almost kill Vader, but then the original starkiller massacres everyone on the platform, save for Vader who he still serves. I think that the revelation of the original starkiller still being alive implies he is the means to Vader’s escape

This is actually one of my favorite battles in all of star wars. It showed the Rebellion taking losses and a Imperial navy detachment not, lead by Vader or Thrawn, as a serious threat. Something we haven't really seen outside of RO.

The Force Unleashed games came out back before the Legends in Cannon split so I'm talking about the legends Canon when I refer to this, I don't know if it's the same as Cannon cannons explanation but considering Kamino is now a dead planet in the way of it sentient beings I kind of like the fact that it's eventually just returns to the ocean

The rebels somehow always makes it through to fight another day. This battle is cool.

I feel like all those Star Destroyers would’ve sweeped the Rebel Fleet. In my opinion as well, you’ve got Darth Vader planetside and Kamino has the cloning facilities. I expected Kamino to have the defenses of a Fortress World. Once again, the smaller Rebel Fleet defeated a superior Imperial Fleet even though the size of the Imperial fleet is not enough for the task they’ve been assigned.

Love the part of the battle when the Starkiller clone used his force lightning to power and fire the fusion accelerator cannon. It was fun watching the cannon's blast rip a Star Destroyer in half. But the whole level where you have to clean up the Imperial boarding parties was annoying, especially the terror droid units.

Why not just ram the ISD's into the facility, rather than into the ocean? Say what you want about there bad design, but you gotta admit tgat they make one HELL of a battering ram.

Am i the only one who dislikes Galen Marek? He is way to OP and vader getting defead by someone else makes him less scary.

In the WII version, the Salvation was the M1 Assault Frigate. Also, the three Star Destroyers that appear on screen are all Imperial.

The EMpire relies often on brute strength meaning bigass star destroyers while the Tebellion could put together fleets and taskforces that despite the smaller capital ships could actually take out fleets with many times bigger ships.

loved the inclusion of many legends ships, but there was no way the rebels could win that battle without a mon-cal capital ship of some sort or like 5 of the mon cal frigates (EAW FOC mon cal torpedo frigates).

I know this story is part of Legends or extended universe but I love that battle so much

Thanks for the video :) I think the ISDs are often portrayed weaker than they actually are. In the 2nd part of the "The Jedi knights" series - The black flood - it is stated that ISDs are superior in fighting the Vong ships as they have better armor - and therfor better protection against Vong weaponary - and enough fire power to stand up against Vong capital ships against mon cal cruisers would falter. The ISD would still take severe damage in the process, but it had a chance of survival whereas the MonCals couldn´t stand up in a 1v1 fight against Vong capitals. It´s funny how the ISDs hyperstrong armor always gets ignored in most battles and they just die once their shields are gone. Yes their shields are their main line of defense, but ordinary x-wings without bomber support are just unable to damagge ISDs to a degree that they get destroyed - as stated in x-wing wraith squadron. I think ISDs are not good against fighters, yes, but in destroying corvette size and bigger ships they excel. As for the battle of Kamino: I think the ISDs could easily prevent the nebulon B frig to reach the planet as they could just tractor beam and hold it in place while trashing it - much like in empire at war. Well- maybe Starkiller might stil find a way as he is a force user after all - but that´s just Star Wars. If no force user was present there´d be no chance in hell those rebels would have won this battle except when they brought like at least 3 mon cals at the START of the battle to tank the ISDs (I think like 5 Mon Cals on top on the frigate fleet would be necessary to ensure victory as the imperial fleet would use their superior firepower to focus on single cap ship targets to kill them off quickly).

The Rebellion is ALWAYS outgunned and outnumbered, and somehow nearly always manages to succeed.

How about the mammoth mk2 from command and conquer vs the AT-AT for your next versus match. It would be quite a match up with walkers. When you look at it both are engineered to lessen the effect of the others main armement. As seen when the mammoth takes out a nod base that shrugs off a hit from an oblisc of light a high powered laser based base defense weapon. Where the AT-AT takes mass driver hits from the AT-TE.

One of my biggest questions with TFU 2: after he got captured, how did Vader escape? 😕

(34th request) 1 CAS Class Assault Carrier with 4 CSS Class Battlecruisers and 4 SDV-class heavy corvettes VS 1 Bellator Class Super Star Destroyer (yes i look it up and the Bellator Class has Fighters about 100 of them) 4 Imperial 2 class Star Destroyers and 4 Dreadnought Class Heavy cruisers (theses ships use to be Victory 2 class Star Destroyers but that would give the Empire too much an edge in the battle so i made them Dreadnought class Heavy cruisers instated too make it equal in a way)

I love this battle and I love your breakdown of it. But I have a problem with this battle because the Rebels winning it would contradict the opening crawl of A New Hope where it is stated that the Rebellion just won their first victory against the Empire. That battle it mentions is concerning the Death Star plans and Rogue One was based entirely on it (Legends and Disney Canon both have their stories about it). It wouldn't make sense for the opening crawl to say that was their first victory if they also won the Battle Of Kamino. With this understanding in mind, when Starkiller chooses the darkside to strike Vader, the evil clone kills him and takes his starfighter into space where the battle happened and you witness an Imperial victory. So, for the legends canon to line up with ANH, the Rebels losing the battle would have had to be the path taken in this series.

If this is a major victory for the rebels then wouldn't that contradict the New Hope opening crawl? Since the crawl said the rebels first major victory against the Empire was a battle that happens to have the Death Star plans.

This is why legends is kinda dumb in a new hope's prologue the rebels getting the death star plans is their first major victory, but this battle would be their first major victory so it invalidates the canon films

@EckhartsLadder Now that star citizen is approaching a playable state, will you also start to consider its ships for the VS series? I think that the star citizen universe has more than enough information to make a fair comparison between ships, and ships like the Bengal Carries definitely pack a big enough punch to make it on a list.
