How the Stapleless Stapler Works 

I bought one for myself, sister and mother. I absolutely love not having to buy staples or staples getting stuck in tge stapler. And it's cheap.

Now this is a product I can get behind.

There is a Japanese version that is in a stationery store near Tokyo. I makes a small ripple into the paper and it holds up to 5-15 sheets that way (I don't remember) and you just rub it to "unstaple" them.

Now I can dance and just press rapidly the stapler without wasting anything.

This is kind of like a trick my 5th grade teacher taught me. It works kind of similar to this. I think he called it a paper staple. There might be an online tutorial somewhere.

Works well for small documents that are not too important, I'd wager, but almost certainly can't hold documents comprising of 10 or more pages well. And probably the paper fastening wouldn't last more than a few days at best, or with heavy handling, even 24 hours. It's by no means a bad idea - again, for temporary, unimportant documents that aren't for long-term storage (say, giving a presentation in which you intend to discard the script) or for draft copies, it's a really neat idea. But it won't replace the standard stapler.

This is good. Anything that can save the environment, I'm up for it.

I don't see how this could be as strong as a metal staple.

It's really cool and eco friendly. I agree with some of the commenters that they need to make a version that attaches more than three to five sheets to each other.

Wow! A Stapleless Stapler! Something that doesn't use metal. Now we need Paperless paper, Inkless pens, Leadless Pencils, and much more and eventually all offices will be 100% Eco friendly!

This would be very good for people who live a zero waste lifestyle, because it would be easy to recycle the paper without having to remove any staples, nor would you run out of staples

These have been around for years. I had one when I was a child, and although this may be a better design, I have to say, the one I had when I was a kid (which cut the same tab/slits) was not the greatest.

For those who have used this, is the connection good for vigorous use? ie constantly flipping back and forth between papers (student here). And also what's the limit of A4 papers u would use them with?

I wish my teachers had this, so many times I just folded the papers together at the edge when they didn't have a stapler or paperclip to use.

When I was in a clinic for depression, the would use this to staple the paper together so we would not stab ourself with a staple.

I'm going to stick with a stapler that can staple more than 5 papers at once lol. This is cute and seems handy until you realize that most essays, packets, scripts, ect have more than 5 sheets of paper.
