Yakuza no longer have power to make billions like used to since Botaihou (an anti-gang law) was implemented by the government in early 90s. Now, unfortunately, hangre, foreign based gangs or syndicates are slowly taking over their territories.

There are laws which make everything difficult for yakuza member, they cant sign contracts, have bank accounts and do big payments like cars or expensive phones. They live like toddlers
