I will forever believe that Ryan naming asparagus using the term “Espera, Gus (Wait, Gus)” will go down in history as the most clever Ryan George line.

I love how the guy from the insect naming department transfers to the sport one after his bee suggestion gets stolen, then later identifies that the wasp is actually a bee. The continuity is really thoughtful

"There was a frog in my backyard last night and it just screamed" continues to crack me up really bad.

I like the narrative here that the creepy guy accidentally gave the dongle a suggestive name, and then he just decided to lean into it every meeting after that.

Only Ryan can make me sit through a 32:47 minute compilation of videos I've already seen at *least* once, and still make me laugh.

One thing I've always wondered: does Ryan have, like, a Google doc of all the worldbuilding details he's developed over the course of these sketches? There's so many little tidbits, and yet so much internal consistency. I wonder how he keeps track of it all.

I love how the Pervert guy makes everyone uncomfortable but they keep him around because he actually comes up with original ideas😂

I just realized, this company started out selling tools and fruits but they got so good at naming things that they switched their entire business model

Ryan is such a rebel; he actually showed multiple real Dongles on his channel...didn't even pixelate them or anything!

"espara, gus!" is the single most genius line

Fun fact: the screwdriver (the drink, not the tool) was named because oil rig workers who wanted to drink on the job without getting caught would pour vodka into their orange juice and stir it with a screwdriver (the tool, not the drink) because they didn't have a spoon on hand. Also, the tool was named that because it _drives_ a _screw_ (so named because it means to twist around something, like the wedge wrapped around the fastener) into something. Also, grapefruit _was,_ in fact, called that because it grows in bunches like grapes do. And eggplants _do_ look like eggs when they're immature. They turn purple later on. And football is actually a group of different sports, including association football (soccer), rugby football, and gridiron football. The name soccer was actually invented at Oxford University.

I never noticed that Weird Pervy Guy was just a regular guy back in the dongle sketch. Was that his origin story? He accidentally named the dongle and then it just went downhill from there?

I think animal grouping names would be a fun addition to this series. Like how a group of rhinos is a crash, a group of cats is a cuddle, and a group of crows is a murder.

How Things Got Their Name and The First Guy are honestly my favorites on this channel. The idea of just a disgruntled department trying their best to name things is great.

Fruit naming manager: Coming up with names for things is pretty hard. Color naming guy: Actually it's super easy, barely an inconvenience.

The way he said "disco stick" so aggressively at 28:55 will always get me laughing, like the font would like like this: *disco stick*

28:28 glitch in the Ryanverse. He knew what a "punch" but didn't know the area was a "face". Implying punching was invented before face. However in the first person to punch video, he already knew what a face was, implying the name the face name was invented before punching

I've rewatched this too many times to count but I'm not stopping. I think I'm addicted to Ryan George humor. 😅

I love the phone call bit with the fruit and color naming departments. It feels like what I imagine a phone call between the accounting and marketing teams would be like.

I love the concern for Steve and appreciation of his work rather than chastisement for lack of professionalism when he's hurting.

The deep feelings Ryan feels for animal noises is beautiful.
