Nice kill on that KV, it was the KV1B I think, which has a ton of armor, though it did help that you had the 17 pounder with amazing armor penetration for its BR.

Cas gameplay is one of my favorite things in the channel never change. Also as someone whos grinding france rn and just got to 6.0 im loving the france content from you and other YT'ers lately
The CAS, the CAS baby, is why I love Bawz's video! France is overtired in my opinion, 7.3 (really means 8.3) for a quick reload rate, but cant pen front, no armor or stabilizer. The same vehicle would be 6.0 in the German tech tree.

@@JustMinna The French one is superior. Four times the ammo and full belts of 90mm pen AP ammo. Lvkv 42 has better turret slewing rate, but suffers from the low ammo so much that the French one takes first place in my book.

I love how a lot of the really good content creators have these personal honor rules where if they see a clueless tanker at low-mid BR or they get killed and spawn CAS, they'll typically let the clueless guy just roll on some of the time and they won't directly revenge bomb. Some of my favorite moments in shooters or war sims are when you and the enemy decide not to kill each other, wag the mouse left and right to both shake your heads "no", and venture off. It reinforces that you're all playing a game and trying to have fun. And then there's TheShiznos who plays like a merciless Gengis Khan in every match and is equally fun to watch.

The swedish LVKV42 is in the same boat as the AMX except it is way faster in terms of speed (13.5T 600HP) and turret traverse (70/s), it also gets a special APHE/SAP Belt for side shots which its more rewarding only for the price of greatly reduced ammo capacity. You should try it out Odd
@@radiofm4265 I've got no clue where you got 600 HP from, that'd put it at 44 hp/ton. Making it the vehicle with the highest hp/ton ratio in the game in RB by quite a significant margin.

I unlocked this vehicle and played a few matches in it last night; even completely stock it's still a beast as in one match I was able to kill a Stug *from the front*. In another match I encountered a Panther A head-on at point-blank and while I couldn't kill him frontally I still was able to bust his barrel and track him, but couldn't get around to finish him due to stuff between us so my teammates took him out.
Thanks for all your videos Odd. You'll reach 500k this year no problem. I enjoy War Thunder but almost level 72 and no where near half as good as Odd. Sure I have lucky matches and all but no laser targeting and serial killer skills. I can tell everyone watches because I go to his sneaky spots and usually three other players are thinking the same thing after the epic video. My favorite WT youtuber without a doubt.
The M19A1 is like this, but you get a P-47 and so much more CAS planes. Used to be 4.3 then made a 4.0 with 72mm of pen. Gaijoob basically made the bane of pumas a lower br so it never saw tigors and panthers lol
Hey Odd, you ought to do the sequel! The Lvkv 42, another 40mm monster on 4.3, but with the legendary Swedish SAPHEI belts, and hydropneumatic suspension. It'll also give you the chance to bring out the T18B (57) and A21A-3. Love the video man, keep up the awesome work!
Hellcat was one of my favorite CAS planes in the game even with one bomb drop and three pairs of rockets. Now it's downright perfect, like a naval P-47.
Trolling with SPAA is one of my favorite things to do, though I generally go for the L-62 when I feel like bullying children. The high cyclic rate plus deep penetration makes for frustrated enemies. If you're not ruining someone else's day, you're not playing it right. Hope you got some good rest over the weekend, Odd. Good to see you back.
@@sizosimelane Pretty much just them, the F2G-1 has had seperate drops since it was added, and I think there are a few other US planes where the 2 1000lb bombs are fuselage mounted and can be dropped separately, but it does still make your plane pull to one side.

I know you did a video on it with Phly but I'd love to see a Wellington as Low-Tier Pe-8 video. With the array of Wellies available you could be dropping 4,000lbs anywhere from 2.3 to 3.3 Personally I use it most at 2.7 with the Mk 1/cL, the Corsair, and an array of tanks, however you could certainly pull it off at 2.3 with just a SARC 2 pounder.
one of my fave vehicles in france. at 5.3 my french line up is just pure troll. the arl 44 and sa50 rips through german steel. M4a3e2 bounces damn neae everything. amx 13 dca 40 to wreak havoc. and the amx 13 fl11 to act as a scout and also for flanking purposes.
One of my favorite tanks, glad you are displaying it. It's only problem is it doesn't have a HE belt that is only HE, so there are times where you direct hit with 40mm solid and it does no damage, which sucks because it would have easily been a kill had it been a HE shell. Besides that, its one of my favorite AAs in the game. My most favorite use to be the Flakpanzer 341 Coelian, but ever since its pen got nerfed, its hard to use for AT but still great as SPAA. Can you do a video on the Coelian next? It really deserves some love, especially ever since it got removed. Its also funny because you can put the round nose art eyes on one side and mirror it and it makes it look pretty funny and goofy. I actually killed a T32E1 with the Coelian before the major armor penetration update that made it from over 60 to 49mm. The way killed it was shooting the 40mm lip on the top of the turret that use to be a viable weak spot for the 88 before volumetric, and since the 37mm AP rounds were APHE, the HE filler exploded on the inside of the turret killing the turret crew, so it use to be a great AT SPAA.
@@derkaiser9881 I'm sure it was, would be nice to have an ammo belt with a mix of APHE and APCR or just APCR. I think I would like the mixed one more though as it will kill light tanks much easier due to the HE filler, while the APCR will be able to deal with the heavier targets that are harder to pen.
I guess the 50's L/70 Bofors is a big upgrade over the earlier L/60 used in most war-time vehicles. I suspect the Lvkv 42 should be somewhat similar to his one since it's basically just a Swedish vehicle with the same cannon.
Except they have different ammos. The Lk has better initial pen, but the DCA has better pen at like 500m. And I find the Lk's ROF lower, even though on paper they're identical. I get a lot more air kills with the DCA.
This thing and the Osty 2 are both crazy violent vehicles 😂😂 I've had a lot of success with this, actually more than the Osty. Awesome video Odd! Great game!
Actually accuracy drops significantly even within shorter range when u try to shoot planes with this junk. This tree really needs something useful as an SPAA between this and the AMX-30!
There's many worthy picks to fill that gap (and actually every other AA gaps) but the problem is Gaijin as usual. To be fair it's a problem for every tree that is not Germany. Wonder why... with the Leo 1 at 7.3 vs everyone else similar MBT at 7.7 we might have a lead though
@@jeandelacroix6726 I believe that has to do with fact that Germany has the highest BR WW2 vehicles, where their effectiveness get a huge drop otherwise!

Its odd that the US SPAA using the Bofors 40mm's feel slow as all hell by comparison. So much so that I tend to opt for the M16 Quad .50 instead of the M19 or M42, and its fairly good even in to the early jet BR's.
