I have been going here for 25 Years!! Chad and his Father are some of the nicest people you will ever meet in this hobby. They treat you very fair. Their inventory of cards , wax boxes, graded cards and supplies are Awesome!!! There knowledge of the hobby is second to none. If you are ever in the Pittsburgh Area, do yourself a favor and stop and visit one of the Best Card Shops in America!!!

Love this series, great job. Awesome to hear LCS owners talk so highly of their ‘core customers’. I live just outside of Louisville, KY and there are basically two LCS to choose between. These two shops could not be more different. One has the type of owner you guys were talking about who is very rude, does not care at all about his customers, and even uses profanity right in front of children. I will not name this shop but if you are in this area then you know. The other is the only one I try to give my money to and the staff and owner are awesome. This is Louisville Sports Cards. Thanks for this series and my 13 year old and I are planning a trip to go to all of the shops you’ve showcased so far. Keep up the great work and thank you.

Dude seems smart about the industry and down to earth. Unfortunately, most of card shops I've encountered recently still have that cold, transactional feel. If I were still a kid, I wouldn't be encouraged to collect at all. I'm definitely hitting that place up next time I go to the Pittsburgh area.

I'm glad I came across this video, I mentioned yesterday about the scalping. I live in the hills. Walmart is a half hour 40 minutes from me in every direction. I have a now almost 8 year old boy. 2 years ago I used cards as a minor "bonding" point since I'm disabled. He was super pumped at 6 to be opening cards with his dad. I had given him some 1990s to get him started with "storage and condition". He was super proud of his 1990 donruss "super great stars" lmao. Well this stupid BOOM happened and nothing could be found. It's sad when people even clear the shelves of the "junk" because they know a shop will buy it. Most of the time reselling it to a shop for less than they paid with tax just so the shop buys the more sought after stuff. My point being the kids are the future of collecting. When young kids are forced to travel an hour- hour and a half and pay double even triple what it would've cost us on our biweekly grocery trip you lose them to this Hobby. When I go into a shop and I see blaster most of the time I leave. I see them as throat cutters. You never cut your "roosters" throat because eventually you will go hungry. What's the point of having tons of eggs if they'll never hatch? People supporting scalpers are getting plenty of eggs "NOW" but eggs spoil and without those roosters you'll starve. My point being seeing this disappointment on his face at his young age of learning was heartbreaking. It also cost a potential loss in a future customer because he has given up. The Birthday and whim Trips to a card shop are no longer special. Because he lost his interest.

You guys NEED to check out Blowout Cards - The Fantastic Store in Chantilly, VA. The supplies and amount of cards they have is ridiculous and have a great set up similar to this

Don't sell on ebay?!? Wow thats pretty impressive, thought ebay was king for bringing in traffic/sales guess this shows local shops can make it for the long haul with good relationships with their customers

All of the card shops in Charlotte have been transactional and horrible. Thankfully 2 shops recently opened that have a 2.0 attitude (Luckys and 1 Stop). Its been a welcomed change.

I pay all my boxes half price in my wholesale shop in Canada

I don’t think cards will ever go back to what they used to be & if they did stores like your guys & his would probably lose a lot of clients or worse go out of business since the only use you’d be to the community would be for higher end cards which everyone knows needs a specific type of clientele.

No your right, a kid that can't afford a $1200 box of prizm, hope your bot charging 80$ for a blaster of playoff like my lcs (Dave and adams), there charging 580$ for a hobby box of Donruss, 85$ a blaster!
