In middle school shop class/industrial arts/wood & metalwork class (whatever it's called in english) we got it in our heads to make boomerangs that would actually return to us. It was really cool to slowly fine-tune the shape of the wood, sanding the edges and refining the shape until we got them to return. I've still got mine, an orange and black one on my wall

This is a fantastic video that introduces the sport . What is not shown or explained in this video is that there are easy casual boomerangs for young children and casual average joe throwers. Boomerangs made for slow returns , boomerangs made for kids that fly under 10mph . This video talks of the pros doing 60-80 MPH throws which seems scary or unatainable to an average person. Both Logan and his Dad make easy boomerangs for kids.
