Some updates: In an unexpected turn of events, Marcos CRSG WR has been dethroned. Cube1337x has a 46:00 after getting a 9:06 WR in 1.16. Starlight has been legalized, so Marcos 1.15 time will get verified! Ontricus got the world record in 1.9-1.15. Marco got a 11:29 in 1.16.

Regarding the title, I'd argue that combined RSG is the most prestigious category, because not only does it require a very vast skillset to be able to get a good time in, RSG is also the most popular way to speedrun Minecraft. To be clear, that isn't to say other categories don't require vast skillsets.

this reminds me of the korbanoes situation before Couriway got his fwr's, because korb had 1.16 and 1.14 wr's, and was going for the pre 1.9 wr. This time, though, I pray to the speedrun gods that marco gets the 1.16 wr and gets the recognition he deserves.

no, hes 1.16 official rsg time is 11:30 before retime ,ad 53:47 was before that sub 12

@@tyrannus00 its probably along the lines of why optifine is banned. optifine changes the fog rendering, effectively changing the game ever so slightly, but thats enough to make the mod "illegal". its pretty strict, but understandably so. after all, every runner should have the same chances.
