If Cloe was just needed to be a female foil, then why didn't just bring back Vicky? Or Tootie? Or Trixie? 3 female characters that already existed in the show and then just suddenly vanished like Chester and AJ?

The Fairly Oddparents Jimmy Neutron crossover was literally one of the most hype moments of my childhood

Chloe was just awful and it didn't make sense to give her god parents. Tootie needed them so much more because shes miserable being with vicky as her sister making her life hell. Hell even Chester could of done with some fairies

I never understood why they didn't just let Timmy age gracefully out of his fairies and then give us Cosmo and Wanda with a new kid

If they wanted a "foil" why not use Tootie? I mean, one of the biggest questions in FOP history is: why doesn't Tootie have fairies? She lives with Vicky, people don't show up to her birthday parties because of Vicky, and they said, and I quote, "according to Da Rules you can only loan your fairies to someone who is twice as miserable as you are." So why not use Tootie instead of some random girl who has no need for fairies?

Really weird but I find it odd that there’s a supposed “fairy shortage” and yet Timmy alone had 4 fairies to himself.

Watching the late seasons made me realize they cut Trixie, Tootie, Francis, Chester, A.J, and Remy Buxaplenty

It also hurt the show when they started getting rid of characters, AJ, Chester, Trixie, etc.

I genuinely hated Chloe when she came she was so unrealistic and so annoying, I stopped immediately watching, I was ok with Poof, Sparky was pushing it and Chloe made me hate it, I miss the old FOP

The old side characters were much more interesting than the new "main" ones. Francis,Aj,Chester,Trixie,Tootie, Crimson Chin, Chip Skylark,and many more. Also the songs were pretty bomb. I miss the old Fairly Odd Parents.

I think amongst the cartoons I liked, the only one who had a graceful exit was only Phineas and Ferb.

Me as a kid: "When I get older I'll be doing something to contribute to society." Me as an adult: Watching an in-depth analysis of a kids show at 1AM.

The constant resurrections of this show physically pained me as a kid, it’s like watching someone bring your dead pet back to life five times in a row and each time is more painful than the last.

I think we all know why Chloe ruined the show: THE DAMN NEW THEME SONG

If they wanted a female character as a foil to Timmy, why not develop Tootie more instead of her being a one note “I love Timmy” character?

Gotta say, I actually gave up when they created Chloe. She's soooo annoying And I really hate the idea of Timmy sharing the godparents.

...I just realized they could've had a better chance if Poof was older. Imagine this: instead of a baby, Poof is introduced as Cosmo and Wanda's son who was away at Fairy College. Timmy doesn't know about Poof because godparents aren't supposed to tell their godkids about their real kids. A rivalry begins between Timmy and Poof because they feel like they're competing over the same parents. This sets up a dynamic where the two love Cosmo and Wanda, try to constantly outdo and sabotage each other, but also might genuinely care about each other (like feuding brothers in a way). This would give Poof more of a reason to be there and it would have a foil for Timmy with weight- he wouldn't just be sharing godparents with another kid. He would be sharing godparents with _their_ kid. Plus, maybe there could be subplots that build on Poof. Like Poof wants to quit school because he believes he's ready to be a fairy godparent, but his parents don't want him to or don't know about it. Or, on the opposite side, Poof has graduated but isn't ready to settle down with a kid. In that case, being with Timmy might teach him patience and show him that he really is ready.

Remember when The Simpsons literally had an episode about a cartoon that was dry for ideas so they added a talking dog? Did nobody watch that?

I think poof was somehow ok, but after they introduced Sparky I was done, and when I saw Chloe it was the end of the series for me, and I don't think the creators even remember those names: Mark, Tootie, Vickie, Aj, Chester, Trixie.

I felt like Poof was okay, they patiently introduced us to the new character (ex: Cosmo being pregnant) however, the other two characters they just pushed into the center and expected us to like them, I left once they started introducing those two

No. What really destroyed this show was so heinous and powerful that it could only be... FAIRY GOD PARENTS!!! (body convulses)

Y did they introduce chloe, they could have just used tootie (an already well established Character that the audience know is miserable)

One of Their problems was that instead of using the characters they had, they cut them and kept adding more unnecessary characters. We could’ve had more Mark Chang, Aj, Chester, tootie, Trixie, remy, etc.

Fairkey godparents was at its best when it followed a simple formula: “Timmy has a real world problem, he uses magic to easily fix it, magic either enhances the problem or makes a second even worse one, Timmy realizes that he has to do things the old fashioned and hard way.” The very first episode showed that formula perfectly: “Timmy thinks being a child sucks, so he wishes to be an adult, but then he realizes that being adult means you have to work and care for yourself even losing his fairies and family, Timmy reverses the wish and decides to be a child a bit longer and grow up naturally.”

My issue was literally the MAJORITY of the side cast was discarded past season, I want to say somewhere between 6 to 8. Like most of Timmy's school life was cut to a bare minimum when most of the best episodes revolved around it!

I like Poof, he was a okay character, and was a alright addition to the cast, it Sparky and Chloe who were just unnecessary.

wait, why the hell did chloe even get to have fairies at all? isn’t her life supposed to be perfect? fairies are meant for kids whose lives aren’t. that’s like, a key aspect of the show’s lore.

I loved this show, it was this show, Jimmy Neutron and SpongeBob. They were like my go-to tv shows as a kid

Honestly? I liked Poof But Sparky and Cloe were absolutely obnoxious Like I could deal with Sparky, but the second Cloe just changed the whole show’s Dynamic, I stopped watching. And shortly after it was cancelled. Thank god

Anyone with a brain: Hey you know what was really cool? The Crimson Chin and Crash Nebula. Superheroes are insanely popular right now, so maybe we could do more with them? Butch's style isn't really toy-friendly, but the more muscular characters could make it work. Nickelodeon: Nah put in the worst designed animated dog ever created, a girl who just makes us miss when Timmy was a character that could actually have a foil, and a baby. But get this, COSMO is gonna be pregnant. Aren't we hilarious?

I’ve NEVER EVER seen A SINGLE episode that has Chloé or Sparky in it. I really do like Poof, tho.

Instead of adding Chloe(or Sparky), they should have gave pre-existing characters more attention. There were enough pre stabilized characters that could be put in a more leading role. Like, I dont know, literally any of Timmy's friend? Which we all already like/loved? I don't know, it's not like I am the *audience* or anything

Remember in the Simpsons, when they tried to make Itchy and Scratchy more relevant to youth by introducing ... a Talking Dog...

I miss when you could see timmy’s friends in the show, they slowly phased everyone that used to be a big part of the show out for new characters, it got old due to this

I was fine with poof, sparky was not interesting, but I tolerated him. Chloe, was the entire reason I stopped watching.

The more I think about it, this show could’ve had an amazing finale. Like Timmy’s life begins to turn around, then he finally loses his fairies but his adult life is great compared to his childhood

I didn't know about Chloe. I stopped watching after Poof, came back a little after Sparky but was very quickly annoyed by him -_- Plus, Cosmo was my favourite character, but I feel like, over the seasons, they just made him the stupid one for the sake of having that "stupid character". I know he's always kind of been that, but it felt different, or at least left a better memory. Then again, it was a long time ago, so maybe I'm wrong about that. I guess I'm just used to my favourite characters being ruined and stereotyped by now lol

You now what, I'm going to say it. Remy buxaplenty was an excellent character, cutting him was big mistake. He added tension, was an amazing foil to Timmy and already knew about fairy godparents due to the fact he had one

Session 6 was the last season I watched. They really should of stoped at season 5. Nickelodeon likes drawling out a show till there is nothing left to do. I personally think SpongeBob is the best example. Maybe can you talk about the amazing TV movie that they jump through different TV channels. Or the crossovers with Jimmy neutron.

To be honest, I wouldn't call Fairly Odd Parents "one of the best animated shows ever created" even in its early seasons. It's a great kids show made by extremely creative and talented people, and it's a lot of fun to reminisce about. But it's chaotic energy and straight-forward, somewhat predictable humor make it a show that you just sort of outgrow. Even as a kid I could feel myself outgrowing it around the age of 10-11. Then Channel Chasers came out and seemed like the perfect wrap up for me. I still appreciate it, but I don't find it nearly as entertaining as I did then, unlike other cartoons like Spongebob seasons 1-3, Dexter's Lab, or Adventure Time.

They took out that bully character and everyone seems to forgot about him

Channel Chasers will always be my True Ending to the series or Wishology .

The simpsons had a gag where homer designed this dog for the tv show bart and lisa watched, and people hated it so much it killed the entire viewership. This is that gag, but in the future, and it's real lmao

I remember dropping the show as a kid when Sparky arrived. I hated how annoying and obnoxious he was and how his jokes were so unfunny.

Fun fact: Icky Vicky was originally written for Eminem but it was too brutal for him, so Chip Skylark performed it himself

"Almost" Mate, it got bombarded and drowned in it's own blood. The show was already shit when the dog was introduced. But they decided to shit on it even more by adding a Mary Sue character and cutting the budget down to the point where they had to use Flash.

Even if i hated him, i feel like Poof was okay, but as soon as i saw that girl + the new drawing style i started avoiding the show to not mess up the fantastic memories i have.

Why past characters don't have fairies in my opinion: Chester: is living a poor but happy life. Aj: a nerd and rich but still gets attention from his parents. Tootie: has a bully as a sister but she was genuinely happy with her life. I think her crush on timmy made her less miserable. Sanjay: tbh kinda miserable but he himself doesn't think he is. I think his crush on timmy makes him feel less that way too. Elmer: hmmmm... He is? but maybe his parents loves him dearly so he isn't miserable? Or his desire to replace timmy made him not miserable? Of course in the one episode where Timmy didn't exist, chester got cosmo and wanda... So hey, i don't know what makes them really allegeable to have fairies anymore.

Poof wasn't too bad for me. He did take time getting used to, and there were a few episodes where I hated him, but he eventually grew on me to the point that I came to appreciate the character more. And besides, if it wasn't for Poof, we wouldn't have Foop, who is one of the most enjoyable villains from the show. It's Sparky and Chloe who I hated the most. I'm not even joking, I didn't even hear about or saw any teasers about a new character being added to the show. One day, I just switched on my TV, saw this annoying dog for the first time, then stopped watching Fairly Odd Parents. I gave it a try again later. Sparky was gone so I thought they were doing reruns on episodes I missed out on. Nope, meet Chloe. A mary sue who is perfect at everything and completely ruins what made Fairly Odd Parents so great to begin with. That's when I knew I was done with the show. The classic episodes still stick with me to this day. They're still my childhood. But the newer seasons are better off ignored.

I feel like Poof was a perfect addition to the series that actual made sense when you think about it. Poof creates a perfect parallel between Timmy's two families, all the members of Timmy's family share the same voice actor; Mrs Turner and Wanda have the same voice actor and so does Mr. Turner and Cosmo. They completed the parallel by adding Poof, the son of Cosmo and Wanda who has the same voice actor as Timmy: Tara Strong

Honestly the episode when cosmo gave birth scared me off. He looked like he was in so much pain I thought he was going to die. I nearly cried.

The Poof thing was actually kind of hyped if I remember correctly, in hindsight however you should have known something was up when he became a regular permanent character. Although by the time that happened I had felt like I was too old to watch Nickelodeon on a regular basis anyway

They just added more characters to keep the show popular. This is the equivalent of amputating a person's limbs to keep them alive.

I don’t think Poof was a bad idea. Yeah, it was an obvious attempt to breathe some sort of new life into the show, but speaking mostly from my memories of watching, I think he was done well enough. Watching as a kid, it felt natural, at least compared to Sparky and Chloe. Of course, eventually this married couple would eventually have a child of their own. It made sense. And, despite not being much of a character in his own, he did at least change the status quo of the show and present new scenarios for the characters. Compared to Sparky and Chloe, his presence felt much less intrusive and forced.

When Poof came in, I felt the fallout of the show’s disaster and left.

I liked Poof. . .or let's be more honest Foop his reverse/nega fairy counterpart, lol Sparky was where I ended up dropping the show. Rather after Sparky's intro I stopped actively following new releases of episodes.

With Sparky, the series began to jump the shark. With Chloe, the shark mauled this series to death.

When I started watching the video, I had an immediate feeling that this would be about these three. Poof, I could handle. But when the show introduced that girl and the talking dog, I completely lost touch with it. I'm not even sure why, but these two appeared and I completely lost all interest in the show.

i literally thought Chloe was just Timmy in drag taking advantage of some random naive childless couple this whole time....
