honestly. it was the reason I nearly suffered with a major eating disorder. luckily I told someone and got the help. but still, we shouldn't have to go through that...
youre not wrong about the thrifting thing when i was growing up i went to secondhand stores alot and my friends who thought that getting clothes someone else has worn before was gross and weird now go all the time lmao
not gonna lie its kind of scary how much tiktok controls stuff in our world sometimes its really cool but most of the time its like woAh ThAtS thats alot-
this is a great video, and it's amazing how observant, knowledgeable and articulated you are, being that young. the phrase "there's no ethical consumption under capitalism" would never cross my mind at 16. it's INSANE how much tiktok is ruling our lives. it introduced 40 year old songs to a new audience, made everyone and their moms wanna pick up rollerskating during quarantine, popularized niche aesthetics and is dictating a new micro trend every week. we have to remember it's only a platform, and it is what we make of it. also, loved the eyeliner!
this was so entertaining!! this year I've been working on avoiding fast fashion and my goal is to not buy any new clothes all year to avoid buying things I don't really need. So far I've been doing good! you hit so many great points in this video!!
what a fantastic video!! i went looking for more videos about tik tok and fashion after mina le's one and i really enjoyed yours. you're so articulated and i just got a bunch of your other videos (the ones you mentioned and more) opened on tags to binge your channel. sending u much love 💘
Found your channel a few days ago and have been watching all your videos. Love that you can do more 'political' sit down videos like this and layed back vlogs. I've just started 'trying' to use TikTok to grow my etsy shop but found it so difficult. So hard to get noticed! x
All these trendy girlies trying to get argyle print on shein whilst I, an intellectual, already had a bunch of it from Kohls (an American department store that’s basically known for being for moms/Karens) 😌
