In the heart of Europe, in northern Italy, lies the region of Veneto. The Italian artist Titian once lived and worked here. Today he is regarded as the forerunner of landscape painting. People, mountains and landscapes in Titian's art take shape through the colours and their shades. Especially for his colour, "Titianrot", Titian remains unmatched and constantly inspires many artists of all kinds: sculptors, painters, chefs and even ice-cream makers.

It seems a huge oversight to not add Italian to English subtitles. I can infer meaning, but it's not the same.

it would be more valuable with a translation for those who don't speak Italian,.

I noticed the lack of subtitles too! I’d be surprised if they were purposely left out. I think it may be just a mistake and will be rectified at some point. Hopefully soon 🙂 - really interesting subject matter

Probably 1% of this concerns Titian's Italian landscapes, and the long sequences of untranslated Italian simply detract from the presentation for English-speaking audiences. And it is clear from the English narration of the main presentation that the intended audience is English speaking. So why then not simply tell the audience what the various Italian experts are explaining? It just seems that sadly the editorial oversight of this series has slipped a lot.

Why are there no English translations for the Italian? And the auto translate isn't working either. Ridiculous.

Be aware this documentary covers art for about 10% of the video... the rest is about random food and other nonsense unrelated to Titian.
