Don't know where to start; don't pick up dials using metal tweezers, don't use cotton buds (lint gets trapped under indeces), don't handle dial with unprotected fingers, etc. But hey! it's your dial.
I learned my lesson along time ago with alcohol 😂completely lost the marked indicator on a seiko dial I was lucky enough to be able to find a replacement dial .. never again . I do the same thing you do now.
Interesting. I have an old seiko. the dial has a sort of a thin transparency on it that is "bubbly" and I wish I could clean up its appearance. Would you possibly have any suggestions about this, or where I could view some instruction on it? Like you, I'd be afraid of getting too aggressive with it. Thanks.
I had a beautiful Seiko with a beautiful blue dial. It was running perfect. I held a cotton swab with alcohol near it and it’s almost like the paint jumped off of it. There’s no going back. I’m pretty excited about this watch not because it’s nice but because the movement was seized up and I got it back together and it ran. Most projects and up in disaster. Great hearing from you👍
