Im really digging the whole "How to fly 3D like a pro" series. Keep them coming! Can you tell us nore about how you train/practice? Do you focus on a single skill at a time? How much time to you work on it in sim vs actual flying? Do you practice with foamies before balsa? So many questions! 😊

Hi! I'm glad you're liking them. Many more in the way. To your questions: When I was younger (like 12 years ago), I used to fly once or twice per week. It was probably a split between IMAC and 3D (practicing for competitions or airshows), then I had a 10 year break from RC. These days, between work, kids, this channel... there's not a lot of free time, but the muscle memory from back then is there, I still try to make it to a nearby field about once a week for an hour or two. When I fly, I usually do about 80% just flying the maneuvers I'm comfortable doing, simply having fun and maybe trying to focus on better precision or linking maneuvers that flow well together, and 20% trying something new. The main thing for me is that I always use the simulator to figure out the basic inputs and build the muscle memory of new maneuvers. That way when I get to the field is just a matter of tweaking things a bit. Keeps things much more time efficient, and safer. The simulator is definitely not perfect, but for this, it works extremely well in my opinion. I have a foamy in the shop that I haven't touched in about a year. I like them for having some quick fun, but I find maneuvers in the simulator translate a bit better to the big planes (anything that requires a bit of inertia or speed doesn't usually work great with foamies). I might give one of the new planes from Jase Dussia a try, as they look like they are a bit better in this respect. Let me know if you have any other questions! :-)

Great video! I’ve been working on this maneuver. I’ve been making the mistake of adding rudder during the slap. This video was very helpful!

Thanks for the video, and for your whole series on 3D flying. How do you like X20 TX as a pinch flyer? Trying to decide on the X18 or X20. I am also a pinch flyer and I when I held both of them (this was a year ago) I seemed to prefer the X18 (though it comes with the smaller screen). Unfortunately, no one at my field has either radio for me to check out.

I'm glad your enjoying these videos :-) I've been liking the X20S. Coming from a Spektrum IX14, this already feels a bit more compact and easier to hold as a pincher (or maybe hybrid thumb-pincher). I have held the X18 in my hands for a little bit, and it felt fine too, a bit smaller form factor, but as you said, the screen is a bit smaller too. I wonder if you could find a dealer with either a good return policy or willing to send you one to try it, and being able to return it if the fit doesn't work for you. You can also reach out to FrSky Steve (facebook.com/profile.php?id=100082161875168). He's a great guy and might be able to help you figuring out your decision, or finding a dealer.

Crankshafts are definitely in the list. Currently waiting for weather to get better to shoot some video. I like your suggestion too about talking about how different this maneuver is based on size.

Can you do a video on different types of snap rolls? I like the new ones where the tail looks to draw a circle but they happen so fast I can’t see the control surfaces to see how to do them.

Hi! Can you share any videos of the specific maneuvers you’re interested in? I want to make sure I cover them

Hi! The easiest way would be via Facebook/messenger: facebook.com/juan.s.garcia.908 There's also a very active Facebook group about Frsky. That's a great place to ask questions: facebook.com/groups/324132953138607
