Part Two : Washing, Re-assemble parts & Testing.
With proper clean and maintenance, a respirator can be good on the long run.
Replace damaged parts as when needed.
Replace the organic cartridges when you can start to smell the fume of the chemical/ painting that you're working with.

I bought 7503 mask and neither the handle nor the mask inside was factory wrapped in foil. Only the filters were packed in factory-welded foil. It's normal? Maybe I buy a mask from a return or a previously opened or not original? Thank you for help.

It's normal. 3M don't use foil for the mask and handle though. When I bought mine, it was in a zip-locked form of plastic packaging. The filter catridges were sealed in a paper-foil. Pretty standard "tear to open" factory sealed.

Yes, I did washed it. 1) I couldn't get to buy new filters as it was still during the pandemic lockdown (in June), and all stores was closed. So washing it for temporary "re-using" the filters. 2) This set was used primarily for woodworking. Not much of a concern even if i washed it couple of times. Only the other set of respirator used for spraying is definitely a must to change the filters. I have since bought 5 new sets filters last month to stock up ✌

Height? You mean the size? The mask is M size.

Had no choice but to wash it for my guitar rebuilding project. All hardware shops are closed during the lockdown period. After the lockdown was lifted, had thrown the old filters away and bought 5 sets of filters for standby replacement.

Your not supposed to push in on the mask will seal checking it, just cover the valves. You must not use this for work, cause you havent been trained on proper use.

I didn't put on the strap over my head so there's no proper seal. Thats why i push on the mask tight onto my face for the valve testing. The purpose of the test is to check for proper seal and whether is there any leaks in the in/out flap valves.This mask has been working perfectly for me the past 5 years. Also my 2 set of respirator is used for light to medium working usage. So far, no issues for me.
