In this How To video, Adam is installing the rear trunk and the rear trunk reinforcement into our Lime Green 914. The parts used in this video are our P335 (rear trunk pan) and P335A (rear trunk reinforcement).
I have used most of their panels restoring three 914s and they fit perfectly. Better than OEM because they are thicker, galvanized, and made of cleaner metal. I am waiting until I can build a whole 914 from their panels. LOL
What diameter wire do use and at what amperage. And what about the front edge of the new sheet metal, does it stay with the leading edge welded on or is it cut off. Sorry I have so many questions but this is the year I finally start bringing Rusty back to life.
A question - with the intense heat of the welds what happens to the underside of wherever you weld? Is it more susceptible to corrosion from no treatment?
