Everything that's a warning - don't worry about it, it won't prevent you from getting it working. If you're Ubuntu server change the "renderer: NetworkManager" to "renderer: networkd". For the WARNING - permissions, you need to chmod your YAML file to only permit root access. Its easy and here's an example: " # sudo chmod 600 /etc/netplan/name_of_your_yaml_file.yaml

You need to use a bridged adapter instead of nat

Yes, you need find default gateway address with "route" Command and use the same with your settings on static ip file. You cannot set any other gateway address, it doesn't work

You don’t need it typically because your router will take care of the default dns traffic. Private DNS servers could be used in a office space where you want people to connect to a local domain or service without having to know or type the ip. This is when you would want to specify your own dns server address so traffic routes properly when someone try’s to get to one of the local domains. There’s other reasons but this probably most common place. Others prefer special dns servers because they get a smaller latency if the server has faster response times.

No this is only if you want to setup static (non dhcp) ip.

@@SavvyNik the thing is i don't have any domain names or DNSs , im just testing it at home, so where do i stop , can i stop at addresses . same question when i want to configure A DHCP on ubuntu (Vmachine ) to windows client . i see all people type (DNS , domaine name , domain admin .. ) like i don't have those . and thanks for the reply

As long as the server has some form of Ubuntu/Ubuntu server this would work. If it’s a different type of Linux you’ll need to make sure it’s using netplan to service the network.
