Can’t believe it’s 100 bucks to get such basic functionality that should be built right into the unit. I’ve bought Bluetooth headphones at the airport for $14.99 but for some reason my $1400 inverter can’t manage to incorporate Bluetooth. Total scam. And with it you still can’t set the unit to work with lithium. For that you’ll need yet another “dongle” to give you a magic USB port for $70. Again, all because they decided not to incorporate a ubiquitous USB port directly into the device, another money grab. So you are buying a $1600 inverter, and that’s a ripoff by any measure. The bastards don’t even include a cable with this thing.
Hi, i have it today, i connected dongle to Multiplus 2 5000VA and i have only it options what you have. I can't change AC Voltage, AC freqency and i can't set options to charge my lifepo4 AC input (generator) please help :(
@@Spyderrob1 I didn’t buy one based on the premises that it wouldn’t be useful for that, I have the mk3 order now. Victron will nickel and dime you for everything, but some how it’s still worth it.
@@Spyderrob1 yea if I could start over I’d go with the eg4 18k, it has everything built in breakers disconnects 3 mppts Wi-Fi on screen setting remote monitoring ac and dc coupling
Hi, i have the smart dongle and multiplus 3kva 12v 120a. Problem is the inverter shuts every 20sec off and starts again. Only compared with the dongle, without it works perfect. Any ideas?
Hey mate great work, I have the same unit but I cant get to the settings to change the inverter on/off my settings are ghosted out? and suggestions please.Have updated firmware and all the usual stuff.
@@CurrentConnected Great, thank you for info. I am just building my first system using Victron parts. Do I need the Dongle or is it just a feature to enhance the system?
That would depend on your specific system. You can give our technical support team a call and they can walk you through what you'll want for your specific needs!
