Imo the best way to grow is find people u like to watch and enjoy talking to. More than likely they feel the same. And especially if u make similar content then it's so good to approach them with the intent to set up auto hosting and collaboration. It's super simple and less intrusive than other methods

Been watching your videos from my recommended for a few weeks now and I've been really enjoying your advice as well as your delivery, so I've dropped a sub because I wanna see more of your videos 😊 you seem like a really cool, level-headed dude, and your advice is always really solid! 😁 On the point of deafening yourself on a co-stream: I might argue that it's better to mute yourself rather than deafen. That way you can talk to your chat while not disturbing the other streamer's stream, and you can still hear if they talk to you, finish what you were saying to chat, then respond to what the other streamer said to you (hopefully quickly enough for there to not be an awkward silence haha!) I'm no expert though, I've only done one co-stream with a friend I met through Twitch (we're both small streamers) and both of us tried to look at both of our chats, then we could collectively reply to messages / discuss / chat to both streams at the same time. It worked really well for the most part, and I think it was a very good balance of interacting with chat while keeping the gameplay & co-op stream elements going! Phew, that was a longer comment than I was expecting 😂 thank you for your videos dude 😊

I agree a lot about the dm's after raid "lets co stream" I feel like sometimes it kinda puts me off from checking that person again. might be just me but I feel like when we raid someone is just to get to know them and not start co streams after like best palls. Don get me wrong some of my best friends that I met on twitch came from random raids but it took time to get to know them

I have definitely approached this wrong in the past. I remember doing this on your channel and realising how dumb it was, I then changed and just tried enjoying some different small streamers like me and seen way more impact.

So. Yes. Finding smaller people to raid, it works. Personally I will scout out after my streams. Spend a few days watching someone that is consistent on being live when I go offline. Then the raids start. Itll go on for a week or more making them, and some other people, into a more natural routine for my viewers. And I've made some amazing friendships doing it this way and helped some get over that initial hump to becoming discoverable on twitch itself. Real proud of one person in particular that I did this with early on since she is just always a fun time to watch and interact with. Co streaming. Your advice is sound. But something a lot of co-streamer duos miss out on is that inter chat communications. Have yourself and the other streamer watching via multi-stream so both of you have both chats pulled up. So instead of being muted/defended, can instead hop in and interact with their chat and vice versa. One thing a buddy and I do will purposely read only the other chat. So we are engaging with eachother, but also talking to chat and rarely have to defen or mute. Allows us to continue to bounce off eachother as well and builds a trust with them plus their chat. Thanking followers to a channel that isn't yours or subs, or whatever. Just adds more, I dunno, genuine feel to both streams. That yes it's a friendship people are seeing not just a business networking thing.

Good video. I'm a new streamer and definitely joined those "communities," but quickly realized they're not worth it. I've now focused on a few streamers I vibe with and I'm in a smaller chat supporting other streamers.

I only got the amount of followers I have because I’ve had a cosplay Instagram account for years and when I decided to start streaming they came to support

Only learning to stream only have 15 followers finding it very hard to get them in to my channel but ill keep going im willing to help anyone i drop into chats i say hello i talk for age then i say by hope out i also follow them but nothing ever comes out of it

Can't tell you how many people I've talked to just try to get people to follow them on all these random discord channels. Like, dude these people will follow you once and NEVER come back lol That's equivalent to just throwing your business cards on people's cars in a parking lot.

i dont understand why people even start/join a discord if people inside there are not even supporting each other and on the other hand the ones getting support takes it for granted and does not support others

don't be that person who announces that they are going live in someone elses chat when they have announced they are going to raid. have seen it too many times in my chat. twitch ettiquette is not really well understood by a lot of small streamers. also since i do run game servers have had to deal with a lot of smaller channels causing drama with other small channels on my servers and i have had to deal with the fallout at times which makes me less inclined to support those channels in the future. also being disruptive in chat can put people off your channel. just my 2 cents
