I personally think you need a reason that truly matters to you to get to bed early and wake up early. As a uni student I wanted to turn the day right where I was most awake during the day not the night. It was fun at first to live out my night owl free of parents nagging you to go to bed... Then I wanted to be in line with friends and ”the rest of the world”. Years later I was unemployed jobhunting and wanted to be able to eat breakfast and get ”stuck” a hour, two sometimes three without feeling it was timewise lunchtime and half the day gone without having ”done” anything. Especially living with a parent that got home at 4/5 pm and wanting to end my ”work day” then. This habit then helped me when I got a job without fixed schedule but being ”called in” I was ready to go with quick notice. And as my work schedule have become more fixed my morning routine/sleep routine made it fairly smooth for those day I start work around 8 in the morning. But it all started with a reason that was important for me rather than Needing to for External reasons.
My birthdays on New Years girl! I always feel ignored or like I never get to celebrate with everyone I care for but it doesn’t affect me as much anymore :^). It’s weird having a late yet early birthday at the same time 😭😭
Focus on one thing and put all your heart and energy into it ♡ what you focus on GROWS! Set your intentions and yes! Schedule it ! Discipline and consistency will always take us further
Setting short term (seasonal) goals and narrowing it down to when and where definitely helps. Start little by little and you’ll find yourself working on it more than you had originally anticipated. From a self love content creator to another- Awesome video, love the book mentioned! ❤️
I was laid off August 7, from a job I was overqualified for at a company that wasn't going in a positive direction anyway. I took that opportunity to go out and look for a job that's suitable for someone with a Ph.D. and many years of post-degree experience.

I LOVE the idea of the seasonal review. Historically, I’ve been a “Birthday” reset person rather than New Years, but checking in seasonally will really take that to the next level. And being that my birthday happens to be the first day of Spring, it should really work for me!

I would even say to start fresh every week or every day. Of course, I got to this point by starting fresh like you said, on the new year and then every season, every month and now I'm at the every week. I want to get to the everyday stage soon =) Because if I have a lousy day yesterday I will not wait for the next week to work on that habit/goal and do it tomorrow =)
The unique thing that you suggested in this video is inversion planning. I never knew it. please try to elaborate it in another video. Your content is powerful and I have became super productive since September. Love your life admin days too. Will try out for myself soon. You rock, girl! 🤗
Would love for you to do a video on alternatives to SMART goals. I found SMART goals to be boring and task specific or disconnected from my overall goals. I only "got" goal setting when I realised there are alternatives to SMART goals.
What if I work 3 months on something and make it my priority and succeed, but it's a goal with a long term, like learning a language. Would work if for the next quarter I put something else in the first spot of priority while I still work on the first goal, just that at that moment that goal would be the number 2 on my list, and so on?

I really like this. I started forming more habits after reading atomic habits by James clear. I started programming, forex trading and creating RU-vid videos. I’ve been at it for five months but it’s been hard especially with the quarantine and isolation. Things are getting better because I feel happier. The news habits kept me grounded and gave me an identity.

Just did the implementation intention - I'm a music student and need to practice ear training (what) every morning when waking up (when) at my piano with a cup of tea (where, but make it fancy). (which could fail if I get lazy, or don't have enough time, or get bored of it. All of my reasons to fail are lined up and ready to be slayed !)

I am really curious if you are familiar with Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies Framework. I guess you know about him because if I am remembering it correctly you mentioned her at one of your videos. This accountability strategy was mentioned by her as the habit of obligers, one of the tendencies. I am not one of them (and even though it is a nice framework one needs to be critical of it) but I found this “having a friend to hold you accountable for) really useful. Thank you for all of your tips!

Wow, where were you a few years ago? Creating new temporal landmarks helped me get out of slumps in the past, but I would only notice the uh-oh effect when I was in university or had a backlog of reports for work. Yes, setting a single implementation intention is most effective.
