How To Add a New Light To an Existing Circuit | Basement, Garage, Attic, etc 

A new light fixture is a great project for a dim workspace or dark corner of the basement. It can be done by extending an existing circuit over to the location of the fixture. Then, you'll have all the light you need. Just make sure all wire connections are done inside of a junction box.
