This is such a good idea! I've done things like this before where I added a slit to clothing, folded over the sides, but when I would get to the top of the slit, there was nothing to stop the fabric from fraying, so I would put a dot of Fray Check on it. It stopped the fabric from fraying, but it didn't look very good 😂. This is a MUCH better way of doing it! Thank you, Anastasia!! 🪡❤🧵
@@VeganDoris Thank you. Always practice new techniques on a scrap fabric till you feel comfortable with it so you don’t ruin your favorite garment. With a little practice you will feel confident with this technique.
Future video suggestion: How to convert a thrifted long-sleeved ladies' shirt into a feminine short-sleeved shirt - preferably without removing and re-inserting the sleeves. I know that I could just chop off the sleeves and make them short. But sleeves like that look so masculine. Love your videos, especially when you show close up sewing. Thanks!
I would love to see how to sew together the Bali Lite camisoles. These are glued, stretchy camisoles with removable foam cups. But they come apart after many wears and washes, though the fabric and cups are still intact and in good condition.
