Better to go to the apps folder directly. Same as startup but replace with appsfolder, so shell:appsfolder.

Thank you very much! What has annoyed me about this paticular topic is that there are so many pages giving instructions on how to do this but they are false. Presumably they worked on earlier versions of Windows yet they claim to work in Windows 11... Thank you again for this video.

but when i go to task momager and look in the startup apps tab its now showing there. its weird.

Thanks for the excellent and simple instructions. Yours was the 4th video that I watched, and it worked easily. The others did not work. I used it to start an Oracle VirtualBox Windows XP machine. I then automatically startup GE Cimplicity automatically for data collection.

1:54 lovely thing about the new windows is that if you installed an app via the Microsoft store, it is installed in a hidden folder called WindowsApps, which is not accessible even as an administrator. So you just can't access those installed files :))). Another reason to use Ubuntu...

Hi, I downloaded the application "Netflix" from Microsoft store. I cannot add it to folder 'startup" because it doesn't have a file location. What can I do ? Thank you

You most likely need to put notepad as the startup application followed by the text file name.

@@KaceliTechTraining What do you mean by _"followed by the text file name"_ ? If they're looking to launch a particular text file at startup, does a shortcut to that file not work the same way as a shortcut to a plain .exe? Where are you instructing someone to append the "text file name"-the end of the Notepad.exe shortcut filename?
