Best instructions for a zipper divider. I had a hard time finding a video that was clear and slow and showed every step in detail! Thank you. You are a good teacher.
Just in time.Thank you ! My customers requested divider pockets and I had to just guesswork the measurements. But now I can set the zipper in overlay.Thank you for helping me to sew bags like a pro !
This is soooo awesome. I have a customer who was asking for me to add a “document divider” pocket to another bag pattern she liked and wanted me to make. I have been scratching my head and sketching some ideas. Thank you for staying in touch with our sewing needs 😅❤❤
Thank you so very much for sharing this idea! This has got me thinking of so many other possibilities for using this. So easy to make it for any size , brilliant ❣️💙
What a beautiful way to add a center pocket divider! I absolutely love the leather you used on that bag! Do you mind sharing your source? Can you please share your source for the leather?
Thank you so much for watching Jaimes! The leather is directly from a wholesaler in Italy. We sell the leather here at Simply Classic during quarterly leather sales. Our next sale is on October 14th at 3:00 EST
Love this! I was wondering how to do it and you came in with a tutorial! I will do this to my fairhaven when I get around to making it! I’m so scared to cut it!!
thanks for such a helpful video. could you help on time stamp 17.30. the last row of stitching, I could not see or figure out where you were stitching. It looks like you are on thebrown zipper but doe snot make sense, are tou on the same stitching again?
The overlay is stitched to the pocket pieces, then the zipper is centered in the opening of the overlay. At the point you are referring to I am stitching around the opening of the overlay to secure the zipper that is centered on it. Does that help?
Hi Chris, I’m just not sure about the measurements. You subtract one once from each side of the zipper divider. We cut off the bottom section for the boxed corners. Do we then subtract one inch from the bottom?
The height will be equal to the lower lining (not including the upper lining), less the portion for the bottom. So if you have squares cut out so you an box corners, it will just be the measurement of the side seam of the lining. If it is still not clear email me so I can send you some photos. chris@simplyclassic.net
Thank you for the great tutorial ❤ What machine are you using that you can sew your lining? My Thor GC-1541S doesn't do nice stitching on lining do you set your tension different? I have been sewing everything light weight on my Juki Tl-18 then back to Thor to sew
Hi Jen, thank you for watching! Usually I go to my domestic machine to sew the light weight materials. To be honest, my Consew doesn't love them either. For ease of filming I make it work, but in reality I use my domestic for the linings.
Hello! I just found you today and I am so impressed with your work. I wanted to know how to add a divider pocket and you made sense of it for me. Now I need to check out all your other videos. Thanks so much! 😊
