I followed all the steps in your video to get the lower thirds plugin installed but for some reason whenever I toggle on the Lower thirds button, it’s not showing, neither in the preview screen or the program screen. Could you help me please!
Help. It's not working despite following your direction to the T. Shift +1 caused the Lower Third 1 box to turn red. Shift + 2 turns the Lower Third 2 box red. Pressing Shift +1 & Shift +2 will get rid of the red boxes. But no lower thirds appear on the OBS screen window. How to press Shift +1 without the red boxes? How to bring on the lower third on my OBS screen window? Thank you.
Hi, thank you so much for the video. I have followed all the steps successfully and I've set up the dock but I'm unable to see the lower thirds. The main setting toggle is on as well as my lower third 1 but nothing shows up on my screen. How can I fix this?
Verify that all the files do not have block on them and also make sure you do not place the package of files in the Program Files folder. Place them anywhere else
Hi AJ, I have everything installed and I can see the lower thirds on top of my jpegs I have loaded, but when we are streaming live it will not show on that screen? Any help would be appreciated- Thanks,
@@AJaytheCEO Assign them that may be something i missed. I did go into the hotkeys and set them up as u did. shift 1 2 3 4 and got the plugin working.. gonna watch the video again and see if theres something i missed

Ii says on the script log: [lower-thirds_hotkeys.lua] Error calling script_load: ...mated-Lower-Thirds/lower thirds/lower-thirds_hotkeys.lua:436: C:/Program Files/obs-studio/Animated-Lower-Thirds/lower thirds/../common/js/hotkeys.js: Permission denied. But I check the unlock and still give me that error. help
where your shows lower thirds hot key as a ula file when i down load it it comes in as a pdf and doesnt work proper i cant for life of me figure it out

Please help.... New to all the bells and whistles of OBS. I was following along fine until the actual "test." Do I need the stream deck mini? Not sure what that is, but it's the only part of the video that I had no idea what to do. Ultimately, the test didn't show anything on the screen, so I was wondering if that was needed. The steam deck mini is just my capture device for connecting my camera to OBS you do not need that one exactly for this setup. What capture device are you using for your camera to connect to OBS?
@@AJaytheCEO Hi! Thank you so much for responding so quickly. I thought I was gonna have to wait days lol... I'm using a Logitech webcam. (I hope that answered your question.) I just deleted everything and started over. Same issue. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(

You did not unblock the file. Right click go to properties and click unblock. If you still have issues move animated folder to a different location on your computer
Hi thank you so much I however need some help in regards whereby when I click on my shift+1/2/3/4 the lower thirds doesnt want to appear is there a step I could have missed. I however have unblocked those files in the css folder could that also have impacted it

Hi, I still have the problem in the doc the frame N.1 is in RED and not in blu. So nothing appear int the window. If I try to read the browser-source.html is empty. There is no errors in the script log I set up all the permission correctly Do you have any idea what the problem is?
@@AJaytheCEO let me try again but two symptoms I noticing. 1. The logo icon placeholder is now missing from the first setting. 2. When I enable the effect, nothing change or no effect nor text is showing up

@@AJaytheCEO I have the same problem! I tried cutting and pasting it to a different folder, but still no option to unblock shows up. It showed up for most of the files except lower-thirds_hotkeys.lua, and it in fact did show up for hotkeys.js, and I clicked "unblock". Now it says "permission denied" anyway, and the hotkey won't work. I've restarted the computer and still nothing :-( help? Using Windows 10 Enterprise, OBS version 26.1.1 ...
The squares along the bottom are used for automation. All four lower thirds can be running simultaneously or individual times can be sent within the automation. To avoid overlapping, use the "X" looking symbol to change the placement of the law third so they all fit proportionately. All toggles (or however many needed), must be turned on. Set the first lower 3rd to the first Square, and lower 3rd number 2 to the second Square and so on and so forth. You may also place in whatever order you desire. To set time for the automation for each lower 3rd, hit the circular icon for the information option. You can find that icon at the very far right the automation squares. I have also selected all of the icons beside the information icon although I have no clue what they do

This is hacked😪😪😪 It ended up destroying all the files on my laptop Thinking it’s a mistake, I used my desktop and same thing happened. Destroy all my files all meaning all even my obs requesting me to pay $980 for a key 🤮🤮🤮

How can you set time stamps for each one to play after each other without having to do the hot keys every time? For my church we would only need to use lower third 1 and lower third 2. In lower third 1 I will would read "Tithes and offerings" followed by the website link. In lower third 2 would be what the title of the sermon would be. We would like to have the timing be where when lower third 1 stops lower third 2 would start and have it all loop every 5 minutes. How can this be done?

Note: If you are like me you might notice that sometimes your Lower Thirds seems to have a mind of its own. Beautiful tutorial A.J. but I have 10 scenes. I would like to have different information on each when I bring up the scene. I tried copying the browser source to the new scene and editing. When I go back to the other scene, the info is lost but takes on the new edit. How would I set this up so I can have unique lower third on each scene? Thanks A.J...
Great video :) I have a bit of trouble with the logos. I always get the little broken image logo, despite my images being in the right folder (was the first thing I checked). Has anyone encountered something similar?

If im streaming with a remote guest and have them in another window created in OBS, can I add 2 different Lower 3rds (So I can display the different names of whomever is in the screen?

SIr, I have played with it and found I can use double logos at same time postioning 1 on right and 1 of the left ...this way i can broadcast my loge and then the team logo on the right. just set both to same hot key, and or activate both at the same time. what i need now it a way to put the team roster on the side and maybe even be interactive to a veiwer to scroll up or down!!!!

Thank you for uploading this video, it was extremely helpful. I also found that if the blocked box in the properties doesn't show, you can just run OBS as Administrator, and that should sort out your permission errors.
Need help on the logo feature. I have a logo in *.png format in the obs-studio\Animated-Lower-Thirds\logos folder. I am able to select the logo and it appears in the dock. However, when I run the lower third, the default "your logo here" still appears.

Thank you for making this video. I wasn't able to change my video settings on OBS. It says that I can't make any changes because I have to turn down outputs. I deactivated my cameras but still can't changes on the video settings. Even thought I unblocked all the files needed and double checked, I still get the Script Log Window saying: [lower-thirds_hotkeys.lua] Failed to call hotkey_pressed for hotkey_pressed: ...mated-Lower-Thirds/lower thirds/lower-thirds_hotkeys.lua:436: C:/Program Files/obs-studio/Animated-Lower-Thirds/lower thirds/../common/js/hotkeys.js: Permission denied. I checked if the file lower-thirds_hotkeys.lua is unblocked and no unblock option appears which I assumed it's good. Also when I add the browser source, the Blue OBS Square stating "You've added another source doesn't show up and get blank screen. I would really appreciate your help. Been trying to make this plug in work properly for days, no luck.
@@AJaytheCEO I only have selected Line(New Tek NDI Audio selected on my audio settings Input. Is this ok or should I select my interface or other audio input? I don't know where else I should check to turn off NDI outputs or any video out options. I checked the box Deactivate when not showing on my cameras on Properties. What else can I do? I also still have the other issues I mentioned previously.
@@AJaytheCEO I am using the Line(New Tek NDI Audio) when I teach trough Zoom. I was able to turn off the video outputs and make changes you require on the video settings. Love this video. Got me setup exactly. Glad you got into the details - playing with the settings for my four lower thirds and couldn't figure out how to restore my logo when it disappeared after I changed from view option 1 through 3. Your video covered it! Thanks for great video.

@@AJaytheCEO should I just create a folder called "OBS Complete Bundle" and put it in there? *Update That's what I did and it all works perfectly now. BTW I am using hotkeys to trigger the "Load Slot" instead of the "Lower Third Switch" as (depending on how you have it set up) loading the slot should also trigger the switch.
